"Artikel ini berupaya menyimpulkan implikasi terhadap penelitian-penelitian antropologi terkini tentang identitas di dunia cyberspace, di luar Barat. Penelitian-penelitian ini, sebagian besar di antaranya berfokus pada formasi sosial di luar Indonesia, dikelompokkan berdasarkan pada: yang relatif telah terbentuk, yang lebih marjinal atau dunia 'keempat', dan diaspora. Dinamika yang dilaporkan dalam penelitian-penelitian ini dibandingkan dan dipertentangkan dengan dinamika Barat dalam 'Introduction'. Ketidakhadiran identitas personal dalam penelitian identitas-cyber di dunia Barat juga ditampilkan, dengan beberapa kewaspadaan. "This second edition of Helaine Selin’s successful Parenting Across Cultures comes at a time where interest in parenting has increased across the world as a result of the COVID pandemic, as parents and children were put into different and often challenging conditions. This new edition, like the first, contains chapters from countries in Asia, Africa, and South America as well as from indigenous cultures of several Western countries. The chapters were revised to include new research in the post-pandemic world. They show that there is a strong connection between culture and parenting: there are differences in affection and distance, harshness and repression, and acceptance and criticism. Some parents insist on obedience; others are concerned with individual development. This clearly differs from parent to parent, but there is just as clearly a connection to culture, which these chapters explore. "Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji nilai-nilai kearifan lokal dalam tata kelola Lembaga Perkreditan Desa (LPD) di Desa Adat Mengwi dan implikasinya terhadap administrasi publik non-Barat (Non-Western Public Administration [NWPA]). Masalah yang diangkat adalah bagaimana nilai-nilai lokal dapat diintegrasikan dan diperkuat dalam konteks administrasi publik. Metodologi penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan pengumpulan data melalui observasi lapangan dan wawancara mendalam. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai-nilai kearifan lokal ini memiliki padanan dalam konsep administrasi publik seperti partisipasi masyarakat, akuntabilitas, dan responsivitas dalam pelayanan. Implementasi nilai-nilai tersebut berdampak positif dalam meningkatkan kepercayaan publik terhadap LPD Desa Adat Mengwi. Implikasi dari temuan ini adalah pentingnya melembagakan nilai-nilai lokal dalam struktur dan proses administrasi publik untuk memperkuat tata kelola yang responsif dan inklusif, khususnya dalam konteks NWPA. Penelitian ini menggarisbawahi pentingnya mempertimbangkan konteks budaya dalam pengembangan teori dan praktik administrasi publik. Secara khusus, LPD Desa Adat Mengwi bisa menjadi best practice dalam hal tata kelola bagi LPD lainnya di Bali.

This research aims to examine the values of local wisdom in the governance of the Mengwi Traditional Village Credit Institution (LPD Desa Adat Mengwi) and its implications for Non-Western Public Administration (NWPA). The issue raised is how local values can be integrated and strengthened in the context of public administration. This research methodology uses a qualitative approach with data collection through field observations and in-depth interviews. The results showed that these local wisdom values have equivalents in public administration concepts such as community participation, accountability, and responsiveness in services. The implementation of these values has a positive impact in increasing public trust in Mengwi Traditional Village Credit Institution. The implication of this finding is the importance of institutionalizing local values in public administration structures and processes to strengthen responsive and inclusive governance, particularly in the context of the NWPA. This research underscores the importance of considering cultural context in the development of public administration theory and practice. In particular, Mengwi Traditional Village Credit Institution can be a best practice in governance for other Village Credit Institutions in Bali."
