"The book starts with a presentation of different R packages and gives a short introduction to R for phylogeneticists unfamiliar with this language. The basic phylogenetic topics are covered: manipulation of phylogenetic data, phylogeny estimation, tree drawing, phylogenetic comparative methods, and estimation of ancestral characters. The chapter on tree drawing uses R's powerful graphical environment. A section deals with the analysis of diversification with phylogenies, one of the author's favorite research topics. The last chapter is devoted to the development of phylogenetic methods with R and interfaces with other languages (C and C++). Some exercises conclude these chapters. "

"Retakan transversal pada dek jetty berpola tertentu bisa mengidentifikasikan bahwa struktur tersebut mempunyai masalah direncana desain, rencana durabilitas ataupun pada proses konstruksi. Retakan pada beton merupakan hal yang normal terjadi. Namun, pada level tertentu retakan ini akan memberikan perasaan tidak aman dan nyaman kepada pengguna fasilitas yang ada.Laporan ini merupakan hasil dari laporan investigasi yang telah dilakukan pada proyek yang memiliki masalah retakan transversal pada dek nya. Pada investigasi tersebut dilakukan pada 3 bagian yang bisa berkontribusi terhadap retakan yang terjadi. 3 hal tersebut adalah standar kualitas yang berhubungan dengan material yang digunakan, metode konstruksi dan desain struktur.Hasil dari analisa yang telah dilakukan, tingkat absorpsi agregat kasar yang bisa menyebabkan shrinkage pada beton sedikit lebih tinggi tetapi menurut literatur bukan merupakan penyebab utama. Waktu pengecoran beton untuk dek trestle disarankan dilakukan teratur dengan mempertimbangkan suhu lingkungan pada saat itu. Efek perbedaan temperature pada struktur dan shrinkage sebaiknya diperhitungkan dan diameter dan pengaturan letak tulangan transversal perlu di-review kembali untuk menghindari pelemahan pada potongan transversal dek Jetty.

Transverse cracking on trestle jetty deck with specific pattern can be some sign that the structures might be have some issued in the design pan, durability plan or in construction stages. Some crack in the concrete is normal to occurs but in the certain level, these cracks will make the user of the facilit feel unsafe and uncomfortable.

These report os the results of investigation on the project that have transverse cracking issued on the deck. Based on the literature study, there are three things that might contribute usch as quality standards that related to materials and design mix of concrete, construction work’s method and structural design.

Based on the analysis result, there some material quality such as absorption fine and coarse aggregate, concrete strength, cement content and the usage one design mix for all structures can make the deck likely to have transverse cracking. Construction method that related to the surrounding enviroment such as ambient temperature, concrete temperature, time of casting that affecting the cracks also. In the desain part, the analysis of loading from shrinkage and temperature gradient also can be the main issues if its not considered in the design."
