Crypto assets represent a significant advancement in financial transactions, characterized by its digital or virtual nature and the use of cryptography for security. Penelitian ini akan menganalisis aset kripto dan kaitannya dengan aspek gharar dalam hukum Islam. Penelitian ini dibuat dengan menggunakan metode penelitian doktrinal. Aset kripto mewakili kemajuan signifikan dalam transaksi keuangan, ditandai dengan sifat digital atau virtualnya dan penggunaan kriptografi untuk keamanan. Volatilitas yang melekat pada aset kripto, beserta transaksi yang anonim dan sifat spekulatifnya, menimbulkan kekhawatiran gharar yang signifikan. Gharar mengacu pada ketidakpastian, ambiguitas, atau risiko dalam transaksi komersial, yang dapat menyebabkan ketidakadilan atau keuntungan yang tidak semestinya. Tesis ini akan menganalisis aset kripto dan kaitannya dengan gharar dalam hukum Islam untuk mengungkap alasan sebagian ulama membolehkan atau melarang penggunaan aset kripto. Hal ini pada gilirannya menyederhanakan perdagangan aset kripto di Indonesia sehingga memberikan kepastian lebih."
