Background: The etiology of temporomandibular disorders (TMD) is multifactor, one of them is parafunctional habit, such as sleep bruxism. Patients with sleep bruxism are more likely to experience jaw pain and limitation of jaw movement, than people who do not. Limitation of mouth opening is one of the cardinal signs found in TMD. Therefore, evaluation of maximum mouth opening is used as part of routine function assessment of temporomandibular joint, but the relationship between sleep bruxism and mouth opening is still unclear.
Objective: To analyze the reliability and validity of sleep bruxism questionnaire in Indonesia and also to analyze the relationship between sleep bruxism and mouth opening.
Methodolgy: Cross-sectional design. Sleep bruxism questionnaire was evaluated using internal consistency reability test and test-retest methods (ICC value), while the validity was analyzed by convergent validity. The relationship between sleep bruxism and mouth opening was analyzed with bivariate analysis.
Results: Cronbach's alpha showed moderate result (0.515), and ICC test-retest value was above 0.808, meaning the questionnaire was reliable. Validity analysis using coefficient contingency correlation showed significantly different (p<0.05) and weak correlation value (0.362). Thus, the Indonesian version of sleep bruxism questionnaire was reliable and valid. Relationship between maximum comfortable mouth opening on sleep bruxism and non bruxism, and between sleep bruxism non TMD and sleep bruxism with TMD were not significantly different (p>0.05), but relationship between assisted mouth opening on sleep bruxism non TMD and sleep bruxism with TMD were significantly different (p<0.05). Based on gender, maximum comfortable mouth opening were significantly different between sleep bruxism non TMD and sleep bruxism with TMD (p<0.05).
Conclusion: The Indonesian version of sleep bruxism questionnaire is reliable and valid, and there is no relationship between sleep bruxism and maximum mouth opening.

Penilaian gangguan tidur dilakukan melalui kuesioner the Sleep Disturbance Scale for Children (SDSC) berbahasa Indonesia. sedangkan gangguan emosi dan perilaku dinilai berdasarkan kuesioner Pediatric Symptom Checklist-17 (PSC-17) berbahasa Indonesia, Analisis hubungan antara keduanya dinilai melalui uji Fisher.

Introduction: Hemophilia is a chronic disease that can affect the psychosocial aspects of sufferers. Psychosocial disorders that may be experienced are sleep disturbances and so emotional and behavioral disorders. This study aims to assess sleep disturbances, emotional and behavioral disorders, and the relationship between the two in pediatric patients with Hemophilia.
Method: This cross-sectional study involved pediatric patients with hemophilia at RSUPN Dr. Cipto Mangunkusumo. Assessment of sleep disturbances was carried out through the Sleep Disturbance Scale for Children (SDSC) questionnaire, while emotional and behavioral disorders were assessed using the Pediatric Symptom Checklist-17 questionnaire (PSC-17). Those questionnaires had already validated in Indonesian. The analysis of the relationship between the two was assessed through Fisher's test.
Result: There were 43 male pediatric patients with hemophilia in this study. It showed that 19/43 (44.2%) of pediatric patients with hemophilia experienced sleep disturbances. In addition, there were 5/43 (11.6%) of patients who had emotional and behavioral disorders. Fisher's test results showed p value=0.387.
Conclusion: Thus, the relationship between sleep disturbances and emotional and behavioral disturbances in pediatric patients with hemophilia can not be concluded.

Background: Sleep disorders and psychosocial problems are still quite high in children. However, research on the relationship between sleep disorders and psychosocial problems in thalassemia children has not been widely published in Indonesia. Previous research has examined the relationship between sleep disorders and psychosocial problems in healthy children. Based on this, the researchers wanted to find out whether there is a relationship between sleep disorders and psychosocial problems in thalassemia children with differences in two aspects, namely the aspect of establishing a diagnosis of psychosocial problems and the selected sample group. Purpose: To determine the relationship between sleep disorders and psychosocial problems in thalassemia children Methods: This is an observational cross-sectional study on children with thalassemia major who went to the Thalassemia Polyclinic/Transfusion Room RSCM in October 2022. Result: Of 141 subjects, there were 87 subjects (61.7%) had sleep disorders and 22 subjects (15.6%) had psychosocial problems. The association between sleep disorders and psychosocial problems in thalassemic children aged 6-15 years showed a significant association (P<0.05). Conclusion: Thalassemia children aged 6-15 years with sleep disorders have a 3.261 times the risk of experiencing psychosocial problems."
