"Restoran etnik merupakan salah satu industri yang semakin berkembang di Jakarta. Kesuksesan restoran etnik ialah dapat merepresentasikan dan menyampaikan etnik tersebut terhadap konsumennya. Salah satu caranya melalui elemen interior, yaitu warna. Penggunaan warna disesuaikan agar dapat memasukkan konteks etnik dengan aktivitas pengguna didalamnya. Salah satu etnik yang menjadikan warna sebagai simbol ialah Cina. Sehingga pada skripsi ini akan membahas restoran Cina yang ditinjau dari segi historis dan modern. Skripsi ini menghasilkan kesimpulan bahwa warna simbolik dapat dimasukkan kedalam restoran etnik dengan perlakuan interaksi yang berkaitan dengan prinsip dan elemen desain. Perlakuan interaksi yang berbeda maka akan menghasilkan pengalaman ruang yang berbeda pula. Namun pada akhirnya semua kembali kepada persepsi konsumen sebagai pengguna melalui pengalaman dan memori dalam memaknai ruang dalam restoran etnik.

Ethnic restaurant is one of the growing industries particularly in Jakarta. The success of ethnic restaurant itself can be achieved if it could present and delivered the ethnic to the consumers. One of the ways is trough interior element, which is color. The use of color can be adjusted thus it could interpret the ethnic context with the activity of users. One of ethnics who use color as their symbol is the infamous China. Therefore in this thesis the writer will discuss furthermore about Chinese restaurant from historical and modern point of view.

From this thesis we can conclude that a symbolic color can be interpreted to ethnic restaurants with behavior interaction that correlated with the principal and element of design. Different interaction treatment will produce different space experience as well. But in the end, it all goes back to consumers' perception as the user trough experience and memory when it comes to interpreting a space in ethnic restaurants."

"Neoliberalisme merupakan sebuah paham ekonomi-politik yang penerapannya banyak memberi pengaruh pada segala aspek di masyarakat, seperti pada bidang ekonomi, politik, sosial, dan bahkan arsitektur. Penerapan kebijakan dengan nilai neoliberal dalam konteks spasial, seperti arsitektur dan urban ini, bisa tercerminkan dalam kondisi ruang publik di masa ini. Penerapan neoliberalisasi ruang publik pun berpotensi memiliki dampak kualitas publicness suatu ruang publik. Oleh karena itu, tulisan ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi penerapan proses neoliberalisasi yang terjadi pada ruang publik, melakukan studi bagaimana penerapan nilai neoliberal yang terjadi pada elemen-elemen publicness, dan menganalisis bagaimana hubungan penerapan neoliberalisasi tersebut pada publicness ruang publik. Untuk mencapai poin-poin tujuan tersebut, tulisan ini akan menggunakan Taman Tribeca di Mal Central Park Jakarta sebagai studi kasus. Pembahasan dilakukan dengan melakukan studi lapangan dengan menggunakan metode studi literatur sebagai landasan poin-poin yang akan diulas dari studi kasus. Setelah dilakukan analisis pada Taman Tribeca, ditemukan bahwa penerapan neoliberalisasi banyak diwujudkan melalui komodifikasi dan dengan memprioritaskan kepentingan ekonomi. Hal ini terlihat dari keberadaan tenants di titik-titik tertentu pada taman. Secara keseluruhan, ditemukan bahwa perwujudan neoliberalisasi ini tercermin pada publicness taman ini dan memiliki keterkaitan dengan kualitas publicness yang terjadi.

Neoliberalism is an ideology which implementations has impacted various aspects in society, such as on aspects of economy, politics, social, and architecture. Implementation of policies with neoliberal values in spatial context, such as in architecture and urban contexts, can be reflected through the the current condition of public space. Implementation of process of neoliberalization in public space could potentially have an impact on the quality of publicness on a certain public space. Therefore, this study aims to identify the implementation of the process of neoliberalization that occurs in public space, study the ways of how neoliberal values are reflected on dimensions of publicness, and analyze how the implementations of the process of neoliberalization in public space correlates with the quality of publicness in said space. To achieve the goals of this study, Tribeca Park in Central Park Mall Jakarta is used as a study case to be analyzed. The discussion done in this study is done through methods of field study and literature study as the basis of the points that are reviewed in this discussion. As the result of the analysis done in Tribeca Park, it is found that the implementation of neoliberalization is commonly realized through commodification and by prioritizing economic interests. This finding is shown through the presence of tenants in certain points inside the park. Overall, this study found that the realization of neoliberalization in Tribeca Park is reflected on the quality of publicness in the park and correlates with the quality of publicness that exists in the park"

"ABSTRAKAdanya kendala perizinan mendirikan gereja memicu umat Kristen mencarialternatif pengadaan tempat ibadah. Salah satunya dengan menginsersikannya kedalam bangunan yang sudah ada. Skripsi ini mengangkat studi kasus Gereja KristenIndonesia (GKI) Jatibening yang bertempat di rumah jemaatnya secara bergantian.Permasalahan yang dibahas yaitu proses gereja tersebut diproduksi, dan perubahanpola ruang dalam (interior) apa saja yang terjadi. Dari temuan didapat kesimpulanbahwa dalam proses produksi gereja mandiri lebih didominasi simbol dan bentukfisik atas relasi manusia dengan Tuhan. Sedangkan pada gereja di rumah, terdapatperbedaan kualitas ruang yang secara mendasar disebabkan oleh jarak, yangwalaupun menjadi keterbatasan, tetapi di sisi lain menghadirkan peluangberinteraksi dan membina relasi antar pelaku kebaktian.

ABSTRACTThe existence of permit constraints for building a church led the Christians inIndonesia to seek an alternative way in providing a space to worship. One of themethods is by inserting the worship place within the existing buildings. This thesiswill discuss the case study of Gereja Kristen Indonesia (GKI) Jatibeningcongregation, which takes place inside the houses of its Christian adherent. Issuesthat will be discussed centered on production processes of congregation and thechanges of pattern within the inner space (interior). The findings on this case studyconcluded that production process of standalone congregation is dominated bysymbols and physical form of human and God relationship. While for thecongregation inside a house, there’s a fundamental difference of spatial quality asresult of distance that has become a limit, but on the other hand, it creates a chancefor interaction and initiate relation between the worshiper"
