"Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi kebutuhan konsumen (mahasiswa) dijurusan Teknik Industri Universitas Tirtayasa dalam hal pelayanan jasa pendidikan dan pengajaran yang dapat memenuhi kebutuhan konsumen tersebut, menelaah keterkaitan antara kebutuhan mahasiswa dengan atribut-atribut pelayanan jasa pendidikan dan pengajaran. Keseluruhan tujuan tersebut akan terangkum dalam suatu marks yang di kenal dengan sebutan rumah kualitas (House of Quality).Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode survei serta pengumpulan datanya menggunakan kuesioner untuk mengidentifikasi kebutuhan konsumen. Hasil kuesioner tersebut kemudian dilakukan uji validitas dan uji reliabilitas dengan menggunakan bantuan software SPSS (Statistical Product' and Service Solution), Dari hasil uji validitas dan uji realibilitas akhirnya didapat 35 atribut kebutuhan konsumen yang didapat dari kuesioner. Penyebaran kuesioner dilakukan di kampus UNFIRTA dan ditujukan pada mahasiswa jurusan Teknik Industri yang terdiri dari angkatan 1997 dan 1998. Sehingga populasi penelitian dari uji kecukupan data, ukuran sampel ditetapkan sebanyak 70 mahasiswa sebagai anggota sampei serta menjadi responder penelitian.Skala pengukuran untuk kebutuhan mahasiswa menggunakan skala 7 titik dari mulai sangat tidak penting sekali s/d sangat penting sekali, sedangkan skala tingkat kepuasan juga menggunakan skala 7 titik dari mulai sangat kurang sekali s/d sangat baik sekali.Berdasarkan hasil kuesioner penelitian yang disebarkan maka dapat diurutkan tingkat kepentingan kebutuhan konsumen. Dan berda-vlrkan tingkat kepentingan relatif sekunder untuk masing-masing karakteristik kualitas sekunder, maka beberapa hal yang harus di perhatikan adalah rekrutmen dosen, perbaikan dalam metode pengaturan jadwal kuliah, pengaturan ruang/kelas, pembukaan pelayanan keluhan penilaian untuk setiap dosen, perbaikan prosedur administrasi, membuat sistem monitoring IPK dan meningkatkan jumlah mata kuliah yang menggunakan komputer.Performansi yang masih sangat kurang sekali adalah pada atribut ruang kelas yang nyaman dengan penerangan yang cukup dan peralatan mengajar (OHP, whiteboard, spidol dsb) yang lengkap dan fasilitas lain untuk menunjang dan mempermudah kegiatan belajar (seperti foto kopi, jilid dsb).

This research is to identify consumer's need (student) in majoring Technical Industry University of Tirtayasa in education service and instruction aspects that can fulfill the consumer's need, examine the relationship between student's need and the attributes of education service and instruction. All of the purposes will be summary in a matrix called House of Ouality.This research uses survey method and to collect the data using questioners to identify consumer's need. From the result of the questioners, validities and reliabilities test are done using the help of software SPSS (Statistical Product and Service Solution), From the result of validities and reliabilities test, finally got 35 consumer's need attributes that is got from questioners. The distribution of the questioners is done in UNTIRTA campus and for students in majoring Technical Industry in the conscripts of the 1997 and 1998 class. So that the population of the research from data sufficient test, the size of the sample is fixed 70 students as sample members and become the research respondents.The scale of the measure to student's need uses 7 points scale, starting from very unimportant to very important, even the scale of satisfaction level also uses 7 points scale from less to very good.Based on the result of questioners' research that is distributed, it can be ordered the level of interest of consumer's need. And based on the level of interest of secondary relative for each secondary quality characteristic, therefore some aspects must be consciences are recruitment of the professors, improvement in arranging method of study schedule, space or class arrangement, open a service to estimate complaint for each professor, revision in administrative procedure, make 1PK monitoring system and increase number of subject of study which use computer.Performance that still diminishes is on the attributes of the comfortable classes with enough lighting and completing the tools of teaching (OHP, whiteboard, markers, and so on) and the other facilities to support and simplify the activities of study, for instance, photocopy, binding a book, and so on."
