"ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor sosial demografi yangmempengaruhi pola permintaan pangan hewani (ikan, daging, unggas, telur dansusu) dan pengaruh perubahan harga dan pendapatan terhadap proporsipengeluaran pangan hewani pada rumah tangga di Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan. Datayang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data Survei Sosial Ekonomi Nasional(Susenas) tahun 2013 dengan melakukan analisis terhadap 13.018 sampel rumahtangga. Metode analisis adalah analisis deskriptif serta analisis ekonometrikamenggunakan model Quadratic Almost Ideal Demand System (QUAIDS) denganpenduga Iterated Linear Least Square (ILLS). Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwakonsumsi pangan hewani dipengaruhi oleh harga sendiri, harga komoditas lain,jumlah anggota rumah tangga, golongan pendapatan, wilayah tempat tinggal(perdesaan/ perkotaan), dan tingkat pendidikan kepala rumah tangga. Nilaielastisitas harga sendiri menunjukkan permintaan komoditas bersifat inelastisuntuk ikan dan susu, sementara daging, unggas dan telur bersifat elastis.Berdasarkan nilai elastisitas harga silang, semua komoditi pangan hewanimerupakan barang substitusi kecuali komoditi daging merupakan barangkomplementer bagi unggas. ABSTRACTThe study was conducted to determine the socio-demographic factors affectinganimal-based food demand (fish, meat, poultry, eggs and dairy) and the effect ofprice fluctuation and household income to expenditure share of animal-based foodin South Sulawesi Province. The primary data for the study was NationalSocioeconomic Survey (Susenas) data in 2013. The study performed descriptiveanalysis and econometric analysis on 13.018 household samples. QuadraticAlmost Ideal Demand System (QUAIDS) models with Iterated Linear LeastSquare (ILLS) estimator was applied for the econometric analysis. The studyshowed demand pattern of animal-based household food was affected the price ofanimal-based food, the price of other commodities, number of household member,income class, residential area (urban/rural), and education level of the householdhead. The price elasticity of animal-based food showed inelastic for fish anddairy; whereas meat, poultry and egg were tended to be elastic. Based on thecross-price elasticity, all animal-based food commodities substituted each otherexcept for meat which was complimentary to poultry. Fish and egg werecategorized as necessity goods, as for meat, poultry and dairy are categorized asluxury goods."

AbstractThe aim of this study was to determine individual orangutan home rangesand core areas and identify overlapping areas among individuals. The researchwas conducted over 34 months, at Cabang Panti Research Station, Gunung PalungNational Park, West Kalimantan. Observations were conducted by focal animalsampling, were taken 30 minutes points during focal follows. Data results showthat the average daily journey length of a female orangutan at Cabang Pantiwas762 meters and the average length of a male was 748 meters. Based onKernel analysis, it was determined that a female orangutan home range areaoccupies 33,6% of the research area on average, roughly quivalent to a male?shome range, which occupies 36,9% of the research area. Meanwhile, the averagefemale orangutan core area was 36 ha and average male core area was 43 ha.Among female orangutans, Beth was the adult female who had the largest overlaparea with the male ranges, wheareas Codet (a flanged male) and Zorro (anunflanged male) had the largest overlap areas with the female ranges."

"Penelitian mengenai struktur komunitas Diatom di area pertambakan Marunda Cilincing, Jakarta Utara telah dilakukan pada bulan Maret hingga Mei tahun 2012. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui struktur komunitas Diatom pada 3 stasiun penelitian dan hubungan dengan parameter lingkungan di setiap stasiun. Sampel diambil secara horizontal di setiap stasiun di area pertambakan Marunda Cilincing, Jakarta Utara. Hasil identifikasi sampel diperoleh 27 marga Diatom di perairan area pertambakan Marunda. Kepadatan Diatom di area pertambakan Marunda berkisar antara 1847,11?4729,643 sel/m3. Area pertambakan Marunda didominansi oleh Thalassiosira dan Thalassionema. Berdasarkan nilai Indeks kemerataan, marga Diatom tidak tersebar merata di Area pertambakan Marunda. Nilai indeks keanekaragaman menunjukan perairan di area pertambakan Marunda memiliki tingkat pencemaran berat.

Research on The Community Structure of Bacillariophyta (Diatomae) in brackish water ponds of Marunda Cilincing, North Jakarta was conducted on March and May 2012. The aims of this study was to determine the community structure of Diatomae from 3 stations and the relationship of environmental parameters at each station. Samples were taken horizontally at 3 stations of brackish water ponds of Marunda.

The identification results of samples obtained 27 genera of Diatomae in the waters. The density of Diatomae in brackish water ponds of Marunda was between 1847,11?4729,643 cell/m3. The waters in brackish water ponds of Marunda was dominated by Thalassiosira dan Thalassionema. Based on index of distribution point, genera of Diatomae in brackish water ponds of Marunda is maldistribution. Index of diversity point showed brackish water ponds of Marunda was heavily polluted."
