Excessive diet can cause eating disorder. Dieting behavior is common found in girl adolecents in the world and even in Indonesia. The objective of this study was to determine the description and relationship of individual and environmental factors with dieting behavior among university students of Nutrition and Communication Science Universitas Indonesia Batch 2009.
The method used in this study is cross sectional design which was conducted towards 173 samples with total sampling. The study was done at April-May 2012. The dependent variable is dieting behavior and the independent variables are BMI, body image, self-esteem, diet knowledge, family, peer group, and mass media influence. The instruments that used in this research are questionnaire, seca, and stadiometer. The statistical analysis is using chi-square test.
The result of this study found that proportion of respondents who are dieting was 36.4% with the purpose of that behavior was to be more healthy at most (73%). Healthy diet is the most common which was 60.3% respondents. The result of analysis showed that BMI, body image, diet knowledge, and mass media influence have significant association with dieting behavior.
As their psychosocial development, adolecents start trying to pleasant with their body and concern to looks attractive. The BMI has the significant relation to dieting behavior. Besides that, body image also significantly related to dieting behavior because the internalization of thin is ideal by mass media will instill body disatisfaction to those who are not thin so that they diet to be ideal. The diet knowledge also related to dieting behavior. Mass media show the pictures and the models that are thin so that those are related to body image and eventually related to dieting behavior.
The conclusion of this study is BMI, body image, diet knowledge, and mass media influence have significant association with dieting behavior. The author suggest to do the intervention through education or training related to balance nutrition, diet, BMI measurment to girl adolecents and also cooperation with mass media.

"Lose weight, feel fitter, lower your cholesterol, and enjoy the foods you never thought you'd eat again! A rasher of bacon, a juicy steak, a wedge of cheese, a buttery omelet...Now, a team of pioneering doctors shows you how their groundbreaking, protein-rich eating plan succeeds where low-fat diets fail-- to help you take off the weight and achieve optimal health naturally, without counting fat grams, without worrying about fat percentages, and without going up the foods you love! Finally, a diet you can live with that works.
PROTEIN POWER
Based on cutting-edge research, this revolutionary, medically sound, deliciously satisfying plan has already helped thousands of patients lose weight and achieve other lifesaving health benefits, including lower cholesterol and blood pressure readings and an improvement or reversal of common disorders such as heart disease, adult-onset diabetes, and gout. Developed by Doctors Michael and Mary Dan Eades, the simple regimen calls for a new way of eating: a protein-rich, moderate-fat, low-carbohydrate diet that will have you feeling better and more energetic within a week, and correct blood sugar levels, high blood pressure, and elevated cholesterol within three weeks.
Here, the Eades show you why their plan is so potent: how it works with your body's metabolic biochemistry; how it brings powerful metabolic hormones, including insulin, into balance; and why this balance is necessary to achieve permanent weight loss and free you from reliance on costly and dangerous medications to control blood pressure and cholesterol.
Divided into two phases, one for those who need to lose 20 percent of their body weight or more, and the other for those closer to their ideal weight who simply wish to recompose their muscle-fat ratio and embark on a healthier lifestyle, the Eades' regimen relies on a tasty, filling, nutritionally complete diet that even allows for the consumption of alcohol-- in moderation. Their breakthrough system of counting carbohydrates gives you many more food options than other low-carbohydrate programs. And they accompany their diet with an invaluable program of strength-building exercises and tips for maintaining motivation. To help you put their plan into action."

Background: As we get older, the possibility of tooth loss will also increase. Missing teeth in the posterior area will reduce the number of occlusal support zones and will cause changes in the masticatory function. These changes may have impact on general health and affect the quality of life. This is what ultimately makes a person need some form of care. A person's demand for health services is influenced by predisposing factors which include knowledge, attitude, and practice.
Obejctives: To analyze the relationship between oral health knowledge, attitude, and practice toward denture demand in the pre- elderly and elderly.
Methods : This research was conducted with a cross sectional design on 82 subjects aged over 45 years old who attended social services at the public health center located on Panggang Island, Kepulauan Seribu. Oral examination were performed, and interview for oral health knowledge, attitude, and practice and denture demand questionnaire were conducted. Data were analyzed using Chi-Square test.
Results: Oral health knowledge gave a statistically significant difference towards denture demand (p=0,000).
Conclusion: Oral health knowledge gave a statistically significant difference towards denture demand whilst oral health attitude and practice did not.
