Kompositum nominal merupakan kompositum yang paling produktif di antara jenis kompositum yang ada. Tersusun atas setidaknya dua kata, membuat kompositum nominal memiliki relasi semantis di antara penyusunnya, dan jumlah kategori relasi semantis ada sebelas. Dalam penelitian ini, akan dianalisis bagaimana kompositum nominal digunakan di dalam tiga buku bacaan anak, yaitu: Klikken is gemeen karya Irina Korschunow, Een taart voor meneer Kaktus karya Peter J. Rens, dan De brief van Jonathan karya Hans van de Waarsenburg. Ketiga buku tersebut adalah buku AVI tingkat 7. AVI (Analyse van Individualiseringvormen). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memaparkan relasi semantis pada kompositum nominal di dalam ketiga korpus, dan mengidentifikasi frekuensi kemunculan relasi semantis. Dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dan teori relasi semantis De Haas dan Trommelen (1993), penelitian terhadap kompositum dilakukan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa relasi semantis tujuan adalah relasi semantis yang paling banyak muncul, sementara relasi semantis penyebab paling jarang muncul. Sesuai dengan tingkat AVI 7 yang termasuk level tinggi, perkembangan bahasanya menjadi lebih kompleks yang terlihat dengan adanya karakteristik kompositum yang: terdiri dari tiga suku kata; terdapat trema ë di dalamnya, dan berasal dari bahasa asing.
Noun compound is the most productive one among several types of compound that exist. Formed by at least two nouns, makes noun compound containing semantic relation between the founding nouns, and there are eleven categories of semantic relation. In this research, what will be analysed is how noun compound is used in three books from different writers, namely: Klikken is gemeen, Een taart voor meneer Kaktus, and De brief van Jonathan. Those books are on the level 7 of AVI (Analyse van Individualiseringvormen). The aims of this research are to describe the semantic relations in noun compound found in the three books and to identify the frequency of presence of semantic relation. By using qualitative-descriptive method and semantic relation theory by De Haas and Trommelen (1993), this research is conducted. The results show that the semantic relation of ‘goal’ appears most frequently, while the semantic relation of ‘causative’ appears the least. At level 7 of AVI, the language development is much more complex, the noun compound use: three word syllables, ‘ë’ or e-diaeresis, and the words that derived from foreign language.
