"Australia merupakan salah satu negara maju yang keadaan ekonominya cukup stabil di beberapa tahun belakangan. Namun, sebelum mampu menciptakan keadaan ekonomi yang stabil seperti sekarang, Australia harus melewati beberapa fase dan konflik, sebelum pada akhirnya melewati fase globalisasi. Makalah Non Skripsi ini akan menjelaskan tentang perjalanan perekonomian Australia sebelum dan sesudah masa globalisasi.

Australia is one of the developed countries the economy of which has been consistently stable in the past few years. However, this situation is not taken for granted, conversely, Australia had to encounter some economical and political changes before finally reached globalization. This paper will tell the history of Australian economy before and after Globalization era."

"In this globalized era, the movement of people from one place to another has become much easier and cheaper when compared to decades ago. This movement is not without its implications, however. Globalization has allowed international migrants to move and they might end up joining the economy of the receiving country, hence taking part in growing the economy. Numerous studies have been conducted in searching for the relationship between globalization and international migrants towards the economic growth and multiple, different results and opinions have been generated as well. These differences may be caused by the situational factors of that country, the level of economies being tested, and also the inherent skills brought by the migrants themselves. Results have shown that the migrants do bring positive impact towards the receiving economy, whereas globalization can only partly support the idea. This study contributes to previous studies by highlighting what kind of sub-factors are actually supporting and hindering the relationship between globalization, migrants, and economic growth.

Di dunia dan era yang semakin global, perpindahan manusia dari satu tempat ke tempat lain telah menjadi sesuatu yang sangat mudah dan murah ketika dibandingkan dengan dekade-dekade yang lalu. Namun, perpindahan ini tidak tanpa implikasinya. Globalisasi telah membuat migran internasional untuk berpindah tempat dan dengan perpindahan tempat ini, mereka bisa bergabung dengan ekonomi dari negara yang menerima mereka. Maka dari itu, mereka juga berpartisipasi dalam mengembangkan ekonomi negara tersebut. Berbagai macam studi telah dilakukan dalam mencari hubungan antara globalisasi dan migran terhadap perkembangan ekonomi dan hasil yang beragam pun telah berhasil tersintesis. Keberagaman ini dapat disebabkan oleh faktor-faktor situasional dari negara tersebut, tingkat ekonomi negara tersebut, dan juga kemampuan bawaan yang dimiliki oleh para migran itu sendiri. Hasil telah menunjukkan bahwa migran memang membawa dampak yang positif terhadap negara penerima, tetapi hal ini hanya bisa didukung secara parsial oleh globalisasi. Studi ini berkontribusi ke studi yang sudah-sudah dengan menunjukkan sub-faktor apa saja yang memang mendukung dan menghalau hubungan antara globalisai, migran, dan pertumbuhan ekonomi."

"Beneath the present 'globalization of inequality' lies the current repitition on a planetary scale of the emancipation of business interests from all extant socio-cultural institutions of ethically inspired supervision and control and, consequently, the immunization of profit. The state is today less and less able, and willing to promise its subjects existential security. The fare of freedom and democracy in each land is decided and settled on the global stage; and only onn that stage it can be defended with a realistic chance of a lasting success. "

"The aim of this book is to conduct a critical survey of the main tools devised for the synthetic measurement of globalization processes. To this end, the first part of the book discusses the meaning of the concept considered, highlighting the different and often contradictory interpretations put forward in its regard in the literature. Subsequently analysed are the passages and issues that must be addressed when constructing an instrument intended to measure a social phenomenon of such complexity as globalization. "
