"Di masa kontemporer, seni menjadi konsumsi global sehingga genre Global Art menjadi popular. Galeri, rumah lelang, museum, dan tempat pameran seni menjadikan seni adalah konsumsi publik terutama kaum borjuis. Skripsi ini membahas pergeseran yang terjadi dari seni kontemplatif yang hanya untuk seni menjadi seni konsumtif yang tanpa makna. Posisi seni dan seniman dipertanyakan karena tidak ada otonomi atas mereka. Seni hanya dinikmati oleh kaum borjuis dan seniman yang tidak mampu mengikuti standarisasi yang ada akan ternegasi secara tidak langsung. Pemikiran para pemikir seni menampilkan gambaran seni yang kontemplatif dan konsumtif. Pembahasan pergeseran seni akan mengantarkan skripsi ini pada refleksi kritis terhadap perkembangan kehidupan seni.

In contemporary times, the art of being a global consumption so that the genre of the Global Art became popular. Galleries, auction houses, museums, art exhibitions and the making of art is public consumption, especially the bourgeoisie. This paper discusses the shift that occurred from the contemplative art only for art into a consumptive art without meaning. The position of art and artists is questionable because there is no autonomy over them. Art is only enjoyed by the bourgeoisie and the artists who are not able to follow the existing standards will indirectly. Thinkers of art explained of contemplative art and consumptive. The discussion of art will bring this essay to a critical reflection on the development of artistic life."
