"Air Traffic Management (ATM) is a discipline that manages the movement of flights in the air and on the ground. Its functions are to maintain the safety level required by the authority and to provide the capacity required by the airlines. The challenges in ATM come from the in-balance between the market growth and the available infrastructure and also the gap between the regulations and the technology. The research in ATM provides the solutions by introducing new methods or technologies to cope with those challenges.
The effort in organizing and cataloging the Body of Knowledge (BOK) in research of ATM is presented in this report. This BOK is a complete set of research concepts and activities in term of managing the air traffic to improve the air transportation safety and its capacity. Considering the latest publications in the last 5 years, the BOK consists of five areas of operation which are enroute, arrival, terminal, departure and connectivity. Each area of operations consists of several knowledge units that contain several research topics. In this report, a special attention is given to the development of ATM research in Indonesian. It characterizes with the challenges that commonly faced in Indonesia such as high density air traffic, in-sufficient infrastructure/technology, in-balance demand and supply during peak hours and major disruption by natural disasters (volcanoes and earth quakes).
The report summarizes that the trend of ATM research in Indonesia is in the knowledge unit of capacity optimization. Additionally, it recommends to explore research activities by implementing new air traffic concepts such as the trajectory based operation and the integrated of departure and arrival management to improve capacity, efficiency and safety."

"This thesis has focus study in traffic management using intelligent transportation system in urban area. The goal of this thesis is to improve the traffic management and space optimization using Intelligent Autonomous Vehicle (IAV) by describing traffic flow in macroscopic level. The two fluid model is appropriate model which provides characteristics of the performance of traffic flow on an urban road network. The model can generate a relationship between trip time, stop time and running time per km. To apply the model, the traffic data that obtained by using the traffic simulator of SCANeRTM studio."

"

Kecelakaan Lalu Lintas adalah suatu peristiwa di jalan yang tidak diduga dan tidak disengaja yang melibatkan kendaraan dengan atau tanpa pengguna jalan lain yang mengakibatkan korban manusia atau kerugian harta benda. Selain mengakibatkan korban manusia dan/ kerugian harta benda pada setiap kejadian kecelakaan di jalan raya juga dapat menimbulkan antrian/ kemacetan bagi kendaraan yang melintas pada jalur dan arah yang sama dengan posisi kendaraan yang ada di belakangnya. Sehingga dalam hal ini kejadian kecelakaan memberikan pengaruh yang cukup besar walaupun lokasi dan waktu kejadiaannya tidak selalu sama dan berpindah, tetapi apabila dalam kurun waktu tertentu dan pada radius lokasi kejadian kecelakaan tersebut terjadi berulang maka lokasi tersebut dapat di katagorikan sebagai Blackspot (lokasi rawan kecelakaan). Salah satu dari beberapa kecelakaan adalah kejadian kecelakaan di jalan tol yang di timbulkan adanya faktor penyebab dan karakteristik kecelakaan tersebut. Dalam penelitian ini di bahas tentang manajeman lalu lintas yang optimal untuk dapat mengurangi antrian/ kemacetan pada lokasi kecelakaan, pertama dengan manajemen lalu lintas sesuai SOP Kepolisian, kedua manajeman operasional lapangan petugas Kepolisian dan manajemen keselamatan di lokasi pekerjaan jalan (Workzone) Bina Marga yang disimulasikan dengan menggunakan aplikasi VISSIM. Sebagai parameter pada  penelitian ini adalah panjang antrian, kecepatan pada saat masuk taper, kecepatan pada lokasi kecelakaan, kecepatan setelah melintas lokasi kecelakaan. Dari ketigas manajeman lalu lintas yang cukup optimal adalah manajeman keselamatan di lokasi pekerjaan jalan (Workzone) Bina Marga dengan menggunakan panjang taper 30 meter.


Traffic Accident is an incident on an unexpected and unintentional road involving a vehicle with or without another road user that results in human casualties or loss of property. In addition to causing human casualties and / or property losses at any accident on the highway can also cause queues / congestion for vehicles that cross the same path and direction as the position of the vehicle behind it. So that in this case the incidence of accidents has a considerable influence even though the location and time of occurrence are not always the same and move, but if in a certain period of time and at the radius of the accident occurrence recurs, the location can be categorized as Blackspot . One of several accidents is the occurrence of accidents on toll roads which caused the causes and characteristics of the accident. In this study discussed the optimal traffic management to reduce the queue / congestion at the accident site, first with traffic management in accordance with the Police SOP, both simulated field operational management of Police officers and safety management at the Bina Marga road works site. by using the VISSIM application. As a parameter in this study the queue length, speed at the time of entering the taper, the speed at the location of the accident, the speed after passing the accident site. Of the three optimal traffic management, there is safety management at the Bina Marga road work site using a 30 meter taper length.
