Background: Malocclusion is a deviation from ideal occlusion and becomes a dental and oral health problem globally with the third-highest prevalence. According to Riskesdas 2018, the proportion of the Indonesian population who had undergone orthodontic treatment to treat malocclusion is still very low, only 0,3%. The low proportion is probably due to various factors such as knowledge, motivation, and barriers. Objective: To assess the relationship between knowledge, motivation, and barriers to orthodontic treatment among University of Indonesia students. Methods: An analytical cross- sectional study was conducted among 318 University of Indonesia students class of 2017. The instrument used was three questionnaires about knowledge, motivation, and barriers through cross-cultural adaptation. Results: More than 50% of the respondents have a moderate level of knowledge, barriers, and orthodontic treatment ability. There are 36.2% of respondents who have high motivation towards orthodontic treatment. The Spearman correlation test shows a significant relationship (p≤0,05) between knowledge and motivation to orthodontic treatment; between knowledge and barriers to orthodontic treatment; and between motivation and barriers to orthodontic treatment. Motivation shows the highest correlation to orthodontic treatment (r=0,798, p≤0,05). Conclusion: University of Indonesia students class of 2017 have a high level of motivation to perform orthodontic treatment but have a moderate level of knowledge, barriers, and ability to orthodontic treatment. There is a relationship between knowledge, motivation, and barriers to orthodontic treatment. Motivation has the greatest correlation value to orthodontic treatment."

This aims to evaluate the influence of different exposure time on its microleakage. Cavity preparation was perfomed on the occlusal side of thirty human premolar teeth with 4 mm length, 3 mm width, and 4 mm depth. Specimen were randomly divide into three groups according to exposure times 10s, 20s, and 30s. The microleakage was measured using 1 methylene blue. Data were statistically analyzed by Kruskal Wallis. The result showed insignificant differences in all groups p 0,05. Exposure times was not significantly affected the microleakage of bulk fill composite resin restoration. "

Background: Tooth mobility or tooth looseness can result from occlusal forces which overload the limit of periodontal physiologic. When teeth occlude, it will result in occlusal forces. There are three types of occlusion during lateral movement of the mandible; balanced occlusion, group function, and cuspid protected.
Objective: To identify the relationship between balanced occlusion, group function, and cuspid protected with the tooth mobility; and to identify the type of occlusion which is the most causing the tooth mobility.
Method: This research is observational analysis using cross-sectional study. The subjects are 78 preclinical dental students from University of Indonesia Class 2005-2008, aged 17-23 years old which were taken by purposive sampling. Univariate statistical analysis is distribution of each variables, and bivariate statistical analysis is using Fisher test.
Result: Fisher test showed that there was no relationship between balanced occlusion, group function, and cuspid protected with the tooth mobility (p > 0,05). Descriptive statistic was not able to prove the type of occlusion which is the most causing the tooth mobility.
Conclusion: There was no relationship between balanced occlusion, group function, and cuspid protected with the tooth mobility on preclinical dental student from University of Indonesia Class 2005-2008. And, there is no evidence that balanced occlusion is the most causing the tooth mobility."
