ABSTRAKPenelitian ini membahas perubahan alur dalam alih wahana novel Hong Gildong
Jeon, ke drama serial Kwaedo Hong Gildong. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk
memaparkan perubahan alur serta tujuan pengubahan alur yang terjadi dalam
proses alih wahana tersebut. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah
pendekatan deskriptif-kualitatif dengan melakukan analisis yang berfokus pada
unsur intrinsik sastra, khususnya alur. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan
adanya perubahan pada jenis alur berdasarkan kriteria jumlah dan urutan waktu.
Selain itu, terdapat pula perubahan pada peristiwa-peristiwa yang terjadi dalam
tahap-tahap alurnya. Pengubahan alur tersebut bertujuan untuk membuat cerita
lebih kompleks dan menarik sesuai dengan kebutuhan serial televisi.
ABSTRACTThis research discusses the changes of the plot in adaptation of novel titled Hong
Gildong Jeon to series titled Kwaedo Hong Gildong. This research was conducted
to describe the changes happened in the plot and the goal of plot changing that
occured in the adaptation process. The method used in this research was
descriptive-qualitative approach with analysis focused on the intrinsic elements of
literature, especially the plot. Results suggest that changes happen in the type of
plot based on criteria number and time order. In addition, there are also changes to
the events that occur in stages plot. The plot changing aims to make the story
more complex and interesting in accordance with the needs of television series."
