"[ ABSTRAK
Sebagai merek yang dikenal selalu memahami kebutuhan rambut perempuan, Sunsilk bekerja sama dengan beberapa pakar rambut ternama internasional untuk membentuk rangkaian produk Sunsilk Co-Creation. Salah satu produk yang menarik perhatian peneliti adalah Sunsilk Clean & Fresh, shampoo pertama di dunia yang dikhususkan untuk perempuan berjilbab yang dipasarkan di Indonesia, Malaysia, dan Pakistan. Media utama yang dipakai untuk berpromosi adalah iklan televisi, namun ketiga iklan di tiga negara berbeda tersebut menggunakan strategi pesan dan kerangka eksekusional yang berbeda-beda. Oleh karena itu, peneliti ingin menganalisa strategi pesan dan kerangka eksekusional iklan di tiga negara berbeda tersebut dan membandingkannya. Hasilnya, iklan yang berhasil mengemas pesan dengan komprehensif dan tetap menonjolkan keunggulan produk adalah iklan Sunsilk Clean & Fresh di Malaysia. Dibandingkan dengan iklan di Indonesia yang terlalu menggunakan unsur afektif dan iklan di Pakistan yang terlalu menggunakan unsur kognitif. Sedangkan, dari segi kerangka eksekusional, pada umumnya, iklan Sunsilk Clean & Fresh menggunakan kerangka slice-of-life dan authoritative.

As a brand that is well-known for its innovation to fulfill women’s hair needs, Sunsilk co-works with several hair expert around the world to make Sunsilk Co-Creation product range. One of the product that catches the researcher’s attention is Sunsilk Clean & Fresh which is the first shampoo in the world that is specially designed for women with covered hair. This shampoo is marketed in Indonesia, Malaysia, and Pakistan, and use television commercial as one of the medium for promotion, but the three television commercial in these three countries are all different in terms of message strategy and executional framework. That’s why the researcher wants to make an analysis about the three of them and make a comparison. The result is the Malaysia’s Sunsilk Clean & Fresh television commercial is the best one which combines the cognitive and affective strategy. Telling a great emotional story, while also highlighting the product attribute and benefit. In other hand, the television commercial in Indonesia is too affective, and the one in Pakistan is too cognitive. "Using the case study of the Kadazan of Sabah, a region in the Malaysian section of Borneo, this book examines national, ethnic and local identities in post-colonial states. It shows the importance of the connection between lived experience and identity and belonging, and by doing so, provides a deeper and fuller explanation of the apparently contradictory conflict between different collective forms of identification and the way in which they are employed in reference to everyday situations. Based on ethnographic fieldwork and historical analysis, the book reconstructs the development of the cultural forms and labels associated with the collective identities studies. The author employs an approach that sees collective identification as an expression of everyday practices and that stresses the importance of participation and familiarity between forms of identification and lived experience. In this context, he considers anthropological debates about state-minorities relations and issues of 'dignity' and 'respect'. Explaining state-minority relations in Malaysia and more generally in other post-colonial realities, the insights presented are highly relevant to other cases of conflicting allegiances and identity politics in settings of post-colonial nation-building"

"Malaysia pada saat ini masih bergulat dengan isu mempertahankan dokter umum di rumah sakit milik Pemerintah. Dampak dari turnover dokter umum ke rumah sakit swasta memberi kerugian yang besar khususnya terhadap kesejahteraan kesihatan bagi masyarakat kelas menengah ke bawah. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji hubungan antara kecenderungan komitmen dan ciri kepribadian dengan initial-entry commitment sebagai variabel mediasi terhadap keinginan berpindah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode gabungan (mix-method approach) melibatkan 211 mahasiswa ko-assisten kedokteran yang mendapat beasiswa dari Jabatan Perkhidmatan Awam Malaysia (JPA). Mereka pada saat ini sedang menjalani ko-asisten di berbagai rumah sakit umum dan swasta di Indonesia. Data dikutip menggunakan soal selidik dan diskusi kelompok sasar bertujuan untuk memahami lebih mendalam terkait judul penelitian.
Hasil penelitian mendapati kecenderungan komitmen mempunyai hubungan yang positif dan signifikan terhadap keinginan berpindah manakala ciri kepribadian tidak mempunyai hubungan yang signifikan terhadap keinginan berpindah. Kecenderungan berkomitmen dan ciri kepribadian apabila digabung ternyata menghasilkan hubungan yang positif dan signifikan terhadap keinginan berpindah.
Sementara itu, initial-entry commitment memediasi hubungan antara kecenderungan berkomitmen dan ciri kepribadian terhadap keinginan berpindah. Temuan utama adalah bahwa responden memiliki kecenderungan komitmen yang tinggi. Namun, kecenderungan ini tidak berarti karena tingkat keinginan berpindah mereka juga tinggi khususnya setelah legal bonding selama 10 tahun berakhir. Hasil temuan ini telah diinvestigasi lebih lanjut menggunakan Focus Group Discussion (FGD). Hasil FGD menunjukkan bahwa responden memiliki persepsi bahwa bekerja di rumah sakit swasta lebih memberikan banyak peluang dari segi paket remunerasi yang lebih menarik dan beban kerja lebih sedikit dibandingkan dengan bekerja di rumah sakit milik pemerintah. Dengan demikian Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia harus membenahi faktor-faktor organisasi seperti kondisi kerja dan paket remunerasi supaya persoalan turnover ini dapat diatasi.

Malaysia have been grappling with the issue of retaining public medical doctors. Voluntary turnover among public doctors to the private sector is high and this issue inflicted a great lost to the public especially for the poor. The goal of this study is to examine the relationship between commitment propensity and personality traits as well as initial-entry commitment as mediating variable with turnover intention. This study used mixed method approach and was conducted among 211 Public Service Department of Malaysia (PSDM) sponsored clinical clerkship medical students, currently undergoing their clinical clerkship session in various hospitals in Indonesia. The data was collected through questionnaire and a Focused Group Discussion (FGD) was conducted in order to understand deeper the matter.
This study revealed that commitment propensity made a positive influence on respondents' turnover intention while there was no significant relationship between personality traits and turnover intentions among them. Commitment propensity and personality traits when being regressed silmutaneously resulted in a significant and positive relationship towards turnover intention. Meanwhile, initial-entry commitment does mediates the relationship between commitment propensity and personality traits with turnover intention.
The main findings is that respondents possess high commitment propensity. However, this is of no significance since they also possess high intention to leave after their legal bonding expires. Further investigation using FGD reveals that the respondents have a perception that there are abundance of opportunities to work in the private hospital which offer more attractive remuneration packages with less workload as compared to government hospitals. Thus the onus in on the Ministry of Health Malaysia to constantly improve the organizational factors such as the working conditions and the compensation aspects so that to meet the expectations of public medical officers, only then the issue of shortage of public medical officer will put to an end.
