"Sistem pelepasan obat secara terkendali bertujuan untuk mempertahankan konsentrasi obat di dalam darah atau jaringan agar pengobatan optimal. Kesulitan terbesar pengembangan sistem pelepasan obat secara terkendali adalah melakukan formulasi untuk menjaga laju pelepasan obat yang diinginkan secara in vivo. Maka penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan model sistem pelepasan obat secara terkendali yang valid yang terdiri dari obat KCl dan mikrosfer chitosan. Model yang dikembangkan berupa model fisikokimia. Data eksperimen selama 100 menit digunakan untuk melakukan validasi terhadap model. Dibutuhkan waktu 8 jam untuk melepaskan hampir seluruh kandungan obat KCl dengan koefisien kelarutan obat adalah 3 x 10-14 ml2/mol2 h, dan koefisien difusi obat KCl di fasa cair sebesar 1,92 x 10-9 cm2/s. Dari eksperimen, komposisi obat yang divalidasi sebesar 20,57% dan 10 %.
Drug is very important for human being. It can help reduce pain and cure diseases. However consumption of drug must follow its existing regulations. The release of a drug can be manipulated through a model of the drug. The main objective of this research is to obtain a valid model of a drug consist of pottasium chloride and chitosan matrix. A valid model can be achieve if the result from experiment and simulation show a slightly difference values. Also, the profile concentration of pottasium chloride in solid, pottasium chloride in liquid and water will be observe and analyze correctly. The result of the research is profile release of pottasium chloride for 100 minutes. The profile release of pottasium chloride shows the percent release of pottasium chloride for 100 minutes. The matrix needs 8 hours to release pottasium chloride, with parameters are: the coefficient of drug dissolution is 3x10-14 ml2/mol2 h, diffusion coefficient of pottasium chloride in liquid is 1,92 x 10-9 m2/s and many other parameters. From the experiment, it was found that the pottasium chloride loading are 20,57% and 10 %."

"Biodiesel was produced using three different alkali catalysts, namely KOH, NaOH and LiOH. The aim of the study was to determine which of these is the most effective as far as Fatty Acid Methyl Ester (FAME) yield is concerned in producing biodiesel from microalgae. Three different transesterification processes were considered; conventional, microwave-assisted and ultrasound-assisted. The study was able to show that NaOH and KOH generated far better FAME values compared to LiOH in all three transesterification processes. The introduction of microwave or ultrasound in the transesterification slightly increased the FAME yield by 5% and cut the reaction time by 50%. The best FAME yield was attained when the optimum process parameters were a methanol to oil ratio of 12:1; a catalyst load of 2% for NaOH and 3% for KOH; a reaction time of 12 minutes; and a microwave output power rate of 600 watts."

"Pengadaan BBM yang disubsidi pemerintah dan digunakan umumnya oleh masyarakat kurang mampu sebagai sumber energi untuk kegiatan sehari-hari sangat besar dan membebani keuangan negara seiring dengan penurunan produksi minyak mentah domestik dan krisis energi pasca perang teluk II. Upaya subsidi pemerintah yang mencapai 60 trilyun rupiah/tahun kepada masyarakat kurang mampu sering mengalami kendala dalam pendistribusiannya seperti terjadinya kelangkaan yang terjadi tidak hanya di daerah terpencil, tetapi juga di kota besar seperti Medan. Untuk menjamin alokasi BBM sesuai dengan kebutuhan riil di masyarakat, perlu dilakukan suatu kajian dengan memperhitungkan faktor-faktor yang terkait. Pemilihan kota Medan didasarkan atas pertimbangan bahwa Medan adalah salah satu kota besar di Indonesia dengan intensitas pemakaian BBM yang cukup tinggi.
Dalam makalah ini akan dibahas mengenai proyeksi kebutuhan premium dan solar beserta rencana pengembangan infrastruktur SPBU dalam lingkup kotamadya Medan. Proyeksi dilakukan dengan melakukan analisis terhadap demografis daerah yang bersangkutan berdasarkan besarnya jumlah penduduk, Produk Domestik Bruto (PDB) panjang jalan, intensitas pemakaian BBM serta elastisitas konsumsi BBM terhadap PDRB dengan menggunakan perangkat lunak Minitab Powersim dan Simulasi Monte Carlo.
Subsidized kerosene, which is generally consumed by poor people in Indonesia as an energy source and daily needs, is very big and give load to national finance as a result of a decline in crude oil production and world energy crisis post gulf war II. Goverment subsidize effort which has reached 60 trilyun rupiah/years have problem in distribusion like lack that has been recently happened, not only in remote area, but also in big city like Medan. In order to guarantee the fuel alocation match with the real demand in society, it need a study which consider the variables that influence the fuel demand. The election of Medan based on consideration that Medan is one of the big city in Indonesia with the high intensity of fuel demand. In this paper will be discussed about the forecast of fuel and diesel demand with the plan development of fuel station in Medan region. The forecast is done with the analysis of the region?s demographic based on the sum of the population, Gross National Product (GDP), road length, fuel intensity and the elasticity of of fuel consumtion with the GDP using software minitab, powersim and Monte Carlo simulation."
