"Persentase mahasiswa Fakultas Ilmu Keperawatan Universitas Indonesia (FIK UI) yang tidak mengikuti program profesi semakin tahun semakin meningkat. Terdapat banyak faktor yang mendasari keputusan untuk mengikuti ataupun tidak mengikuti profesi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor tersebut. Metode penelitian ini adalah deskriptif korelatif. Sampel diambil dengan cara cluster sampling (n=92) yang merupakan mahasiswa FIK UI angkatan 2009. Kuesioner yang digunakan ialah kuesioner motivator-hygiene scale dan kuesioner tingkat motivasi yang sudah dimodifikasi (α=0,939; r-hitung 0,377-0,777). Analisa menggunakan univariat (distribusi frekuensi) dan bivariat (Kai Kuadrat dan Kendall Tau). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat lima faktor (minat, pengembangan diri, pengakuan, dukungan sosial, dan finansial) memiliki hubungan bermakna terhadap motivasi (p<0,05; α= 0,05; τ(tau)>0,248). Hasil korelasi menunjukkan bahwa minat merupakan faktor yang memiliki hubungan paling erat dibandingkan dengan faktor lainnya. Upaya untuk meningkatkan minat perlu diadakannya kegiatan orientasi terkait pembekalan nilai-nilai keperawatan kepada mahasiswa sejak awal menjadi mahasiswa FIK UI.

There is an increasing of percentage of FON UI’s (Faculty of Nursing University of Indonesia) students who were not to participating Ners Program. Several factors are asummed underpinne the decision to participate Ners Program. This study aimed to identify those factors. This study has used descriptive correlative method. Samples collected by cluster sampling (n =92) which were students of grade final of FON UI. The questionnaires were modified from the motivator-hygiene questionnaire scale and level of motivation questionnaire (α = 0.939; r = 0,377-0,777).

The results showed there were five factors (interest, self-development, recognition, social support and financial support) that related to motivation (p <0.05, τ (tau)> 0.248). The results was showed that the interest to be more influential factor than others. It is recommended that orientation program about values of nursing profession should include to increase interest."
