"Tesis ini membahas perkembangan film India di Indonesia pada tahun 1932-1976. Itu masalah yang dibahas dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimana proses memasukkan film India ke dalam Indonesia, perkembangan film India di Indonesia yang juga membahas masalah tersebut film di Indonesia, dan bagaimana peran sinema sebagai media pemutaran film India di Indonesia Indonesia. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode historis dengan menggunakan tulisan yang ditulis dengan baiksumber dokumen, majalah, dan buku. This thesis discusses the development of Indian films in Indonesia in 1932-1976. The problem discussed in this study is how the process of incorporating Indian films into Indonesia, the development of Indian films in Indonesia which also addresses the issue of film in Indonesia, and how the role of cinema as a media for Indian film screening in Indonesia Indonesia. The method used in this study is the historical method using well-written writings from documents, magazines and books. The difference from this research with the others Studies that discuss films in Indonesia are the findings obtained that have never been written in the history of Indonesian cinema. An important Indian film discovery has been done since 1932 and has been screened in the Alhambra cinema in Surabaya in 1935 along with Egyptian films. Then in the heyday of Indian film in the 1950s film Indian development in Indonesia has to compete with other important films such as Malay, Filipino and American films. Indian films are in great demand in the lower classes of cinema such as the Rivoli cinema in Jakarta which was in its heyday in the 1950s until the end of the cinema opening in the 1990s an Indian film was released. In addition, Indian films also get a reaction from Indonesian film producers, so they get a film quota to boycott Indian films."

"Di dalam ilmu linguistik, teknik persuasi adalah satu dari beberapa kemampuan berkomunikasi. Saat ini sudah banyak penelitian yang telah meneliti tentang teknik persuasi. Dalam meneliti teknik persuasi, penelitian-penelitian tersebut menggunakan berbagai hal sebagai media untuk meneliti seperti pidato, film, dan percakapan. Artikel ini menggunakan film Fruitvale Station (2013) sebagai korpus karena karakter utamanya, Oscar Grant III, menggunakan banyak teknik persuasi saat berkomunikasi di dalam film tersebut. Artikel ini menganalisis teknik persuasi yang Oscar gunakan di setiap percakapannya dengan beberapa lawan bicara dari dua ras yang berbeda menggunakan pengkategorian teknik persuasi milik Barbara Johnstone (1989). Dari analisis yang dibuat, ditemukan jika ras dari lawan bicara Oscar tidak mempengaruhi pilihan Oscar dalam menggunakan teknik persuasi yang berbeda. Namun, Oscar memiliki pertimbangan lain dalam menggunakan teknik-teknik persuasi yang berbeda, yaitu situasi dari percakapan yang dia hadapi. Dari penemuan-penemuan tersebut, dapat disimpulkan jika di setiap situasi yang berbeda terdapat satu teknik yang cenderung akan digunakan.

Persuasion is one of several useful communication skills in linguistics. There are many studies that have researched about the persuasive strategy. In researching the persuasive strategy, the studies use many things as the means to research such as speeches, films, and conversations. This article uses a film Fruitvale Station (2013) as the corpus because the main character, Oscar Grant III, uses many persuasive strategies in his conversations in the film. This article analyzes persuasive strategy that Oscar uses through several conversations between him and several interlocutors from two different races in the film by using Barbara Johnstone`s (1989) categorization of persuasion technique. From the analysis, it is found that the race of interlocutors does not affect the preferences of Oscar`s persuasive strategy. However, there is another consideration of his preferences which is the situation of the conversation. From those findings, it is concluded that each situation has its preferable strategy to be used."

"Get Out 2017 adalah film Hollywood yang mengungkap elemen-elemen dari rasisme kulit putih white racism di dalam kisah mengenai Chris, seorang tokoh Afrika-Amerika, ketika ia pertama kali datang mengunjungi keluarga kekasih kulit putihnya. Get Out menempatkan fokus utamanya pada objektifikasi orang kulit hitam blackness mdash;dengan mengambil pendekatan yang berbeda dari film-film bertema rasisme lainnya melalui sebuah cerita horor. Dengan melakukan analisis tekstual dan menggabungkan beberapa kerangka teori, studi ini bertujuan untuk mencapai sasaran utama, yaitu menyelidiki bentuk-bentuk rasisme yang terjadi di film ini melalui sudut pandang seorang pemeran utama Afrika-Amerika.

Get Out 2017 is a Hollywood film that discloses the elements of white racism within the story about Chris, the African-American protagonist, when he comes to visit the family of his white American girlfriend for the first time. Get Out presumes to put its main focus on the objectification of blackness mdash;while it goes in the opposite direction from most racism-themed films by using a horror genre to complement its storytelling. By conducting a textual analysis and incorporating several theoretical frameworks, this study focuses on its mark, that is, the aim of achieving a key objective to delve into how the acts of white racism are told through the viewpoint of the African-American lead in the movie."

"Makalah ini membahas film Catching Fire dengan menggunakan konsep kekuasaan oleh French dan Raven (1959) serta konsep harapan oleh Drahos (2004) untuk menganalisa bentuk-bentuk kekuasaan yang direpresentasikan dalam film Catching Fire. French dan Raven, dalam konsep mereka tentang lima bentuk kekuasaan, menjelaskan bagaimana kekuasaan dapat diterapkan melalui lima bentuk tersebut. Dalam film Catching Fire, setidaknya terdapat dua bentuk kekuasaan yang ditunjukkan oleh karakter Presiden Snow. Kemudian, karakter Katniss juga menjadi ikon harapan yang menjelaskan isi pesan dari film tersebut. Jenis harapan yang seperti apa dan bagaimana signifikansinya juga dibahas dengan menggunakan konsep harapan dari Drahos.

This paper examines the film, Catching Fire, drawing on the concept of power by French and Raven (1959) and the concept of hope by Drahos (2004) to analyse what kinds of power are depicted in the movie. French and Raven, in their concept about five bases of power, explains how power is applied through those five bases, and in Catching Fire, there are, at least, two forms of power shown by the character of President Snow. The character of Katniss then becomes an icon of hope which explains the message of the film. In addition, what kind of hope is put upon her and its significance is also discussed using Drahos? concept of hope."

"Makalah ini bertujuan untuk melihat bagaimana film This Is England mendekonstruksi stereotipe-stereotipe yang sejak lama dipercaya ada pada para anggota skinhead dari gelombang kedua. Ketika sebagian besar orang masih percaya terhadap beberapa stereotipe mengenai skinhead gelombang kedua, film ini menawarkan perspektif yang berbeda mengenai subkultur ini. Analisis tekstual digunakan dalam penelitian ini guna mengobservasi perilaku, dialog, dan hubungan antar-karakter dan menghubungkannya dengan konteks historis berdasarkan latar waktu dan tempat dari film ini. Penelitian ini menghasilkan kesimpulan bahwa stereotipe-stereotipe yang ada mengenai skinhead gelombang kedua tidak terdapat di semua grup skinhead karena film ini menunjukkan bahwa beberapa grup skinhead, bahkan yang berasal dari gelombang yang sama, memiliki tingkah laku yang berbeda.

This paper aims to see how the movie This Is England deconstructs the long-held stereotypes of skinheads coming from the second wave. While most people still believe some stereotypes about the second-wave skinhead, this movie offers a different perspective about the subculture. Textual analysis is used in the research to observe behaviors, dialogues, and relationships between characters in the movie and to look at the historical context of the year in which the movie is set in. This research results in the conclusion that the stereotypes of second-wave skinhead cannot be applied to all skinhead groups, as this movie shows that groups of skinheads, even from the same wave, act differently"
