"Dalam aplikasi enjinering baik dalam bidang industri atau lainnya, kadang kala ditemukan bahwa kebutuhan akan daya listrik, pendinginan dan pemanasan diperlukan secara bersamaan. Salah satu contohnya adalah dalam bidang perhotelan yang membutuhkan daya listrik, pendinginan untuk ruangan dan pemanasan baik untuk ruangan atau air hangat. Sistem combined cooling, heating and power generation (CCHP) atau disebut juga trigeneration adalah sistem yang terdiri dari power system, mesin pendingin absorpsi dan sebuah penukar kalor.
Untuk aplikasi dan perancangan CCHP, sebelumnya dibuat sebuah model sistem dan dilakukan perhitungan biaya energi (bahan bakar) berdasarkan pada kesetimbangan energi hingga biaya investasi dan payback period sehingga dapat diputuskan selanjutnya apakah sistem ini dan konfigurasi seperti apa yang dapat diaplikasikan. Pilihan konfigurasi sistem CCHP yang digunakan adalah dengan menggunakan diesel engine, gas engine dan turbin gas pada power system nya.
Dari hasil perhitungan ketiga konfigurasi sistem CCHP yang coba diaplikasikan pada perhotelan diperoleh bahwa untuk konfigurasi dengan diesel engine dan turbin gas tidak dapat digunakan karena dari sisi biaya energi lebih besar dibandingkan tanpa menggunakan sistem CCHP dan saving cost yang terlalu rendah sehingga mengakibatkan payback period yang lama. Untuk konfigurasi dengan gas engine diperoleh biaya energi hotel dapat ditekan maksimum sebesar Rp. 180.590.337,31, dengan biaya investasi total sebesar Rp. 7.510.550.179,3 dan payback period selama 6,57 tahun.

Engineering application in industrial or etc sometimes found there is a simultaneous need for electricity, cooling and heating. For example is in hotel business, we can found that it need of electricity, cooling for rooms and heating to heat water. Combined cooling, heating and power generation (CCHP) or called trigeneration is a system consists of power system, absorption cooling system and heat exchanger for heating system.
For application and planning, we make a model and calculate the energy cost (fuel cost) based on energy balance, investment, and payback period so later can be decided the feasibility and what configuration of the system can be applied. The configurations of CCHP that chosen is use Diesel engine, gas engine and gas turbine as a power system.
The results of three configurations applied to hotel business that used; show that configuration using Diesel engine and gas turbine couldn?t be applied because energy cost (fuel cost) is more expensive compared to energy cost without CCHP system and saving cost is too small so it affected to too long payback period. By using gas engine, the energy cost for hotel can be reduced maximum at Rp. 180,590,337.31; investment cost estimated is Rp. 7,510,550,179.3 with payback period is 6.57 years."

"Pengembangan bahan bakar yang berbasis renewable diesel saat ini mulai banyak dikembangkan sebagai solusi permasalahan bahan bakar nasional. Renewable Diesel merupakan hidrokarbon turunan dari minyak nabati yaitu minyak nyamplung (Calophyllum Inophyllum Oil) yang mengalami proses hidrodeoksigenasi. Untuk mendapatkan renewable diesel yang diinginkan, diperlukan sebuah katalis yang memiliki selektivitas yang tinggi terhadap reaksi hidrodeoksigenasi tersebut. Salah satu penyangga katalis yang cocok yaitu karbon aktif dan zeolit. Kedua katalis tersebut memiliki banyak kelebihan dibandingkan penyangga katalis lain yaitu sifat kristalinitas dan luas permukaan yang tinggi, serta ketersediaannya yang melimpah di Indonesia. Inti aktif yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu logam nikel molibdenum. Sintesis nanokristal logam dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode modifikasi simple heating dengan pemanasan serta pendinginan yang cepat. Metode ini mampu menghasilkan ukuran kristal dalam bentuk nano dalam waktu yang cepat dan energi yang rendah. Dengan menggunakan kedua penyangga tersebut, didapatkan katalis yang memiliki aktivitas, selektifitas, dan stabilitas yang tinggi. Setelah katalis diaktivasi, sintesis renewable diesel dilakukan dalam reaktor hidrogenasi pada kondisi operasi 375 oC, 12 bar, dan 800 rpm selama 2,5 jam. Dari sintesis tersbut dihasilkan konversi sebesar 81,99%, selektivitas sebesar 84,54%.

Nowadays, development of diesel fuel based on renewable feedstock is started as a solution of national energy problems. Renewable diesel is hydrocarbon derivative from hydrodeoxygenation reaction of non-edible vegetable oil which uses nyamplung oil (Calophyllum Inophyllum Oil). It has many oleic acids and seed productivities for renewable diesel synthesis. To obtain desired renewable diesel product, use of catalyst that has high selectivity with hydrodeoxygenation reaction is important. One of suitable support catalysts are activated carbon and zeolite. These catalysts has many advantages which are high crystallization, high surface area, and has very abundant availability in Indonesia. Active site which supported in this research is nickel molybdenum. The synthesis of metal nanocrystal was conducted by modification preparation from simple heating method which heating and cooling process run rapidly. This method can produce catalyst crystal with nano size, short time, and low energy. By using these catalysts, obtained high activity, selectivity, and stability. After catalysts activated, synthesis of renewable diesel performed in hydrogenation reactor at 375 oC, 12 bar, and 800 rpm for 2.5 hours. The result of conversion was 81.99% and selectivity was 84.54 %.
