"Developed in the context of health sciences education in the late 1960s, problem-based learning (PBL) is now widely deployed as an education methodology. Its problem-solving, collaborative, student-centred ethos is seen as a more appropriate system of pedagogy than earlier ?chalk-and-talk? modes. Focusing on its use in clinical education, this collection of recent scholarship on PBL examines the ways in which PBL is both conceived and implemented in clinical education. The work has a dual emphasis, research-driven on the one hand, while on the other assessing new methodologies to explore how problem-based curricula support the achievement of students? learning outcomes in the context of clinical education."

ABSTRACTPenelitian sebelumnya menunjukkan hasil yang tidak konsisten pada hubungan antara kreativitas dan kinerja. Beberapa penelitian menemukan hubungan positif, sementara penelitian lain menemukan hubungan negatif atau tidak signifikan antara kreativitas dan kinerja. Hal ini mengindikasikan adanya mekanisme psikologis yang menghubungkan kreativitas dan kinerja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuktikan pengaruh grit sebagai mediator pada hubungan antara kreativitas dan kinerja, dengan mengacu pada investment theory of creativity. Partisipan merupakan 390 dosen aktif yang bekerja di berbagai perguruan tinggi di Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode self-report dengan kuesioner daring. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peran grit sebagai mediator tidak signifikan. Akan tetapi, hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dimensi perseverance of effort berperan sebagai mediator pada hubungan antara kreativitas dan kinerja dosen. Sementara itu dimensi consistency of effort tidak berperan sebagai mediator pada hubungan tersebut. Hal ini mengindikasikan bahwa dimensi perseverance of effort merupakan dimensi yang lebih penting dibandingkan consistency of interest pada subyek dosen.
ABSTRACTPrevious studies found inconsistent results in the relationship between creativity and job performance, indicating an underlying mechanism to occur between the variables. This study aimed to examine grit as the mediator in the relationship between creativity and performance using investment theory of creativity. Participants were 390 active lecturers who worked in various universities in Indonesia. This study used self-report method with online questionnaire directed at lecturers. The results of the study indicated that grit did not mediate the relationship between creativity and lecturer job performance. Further analyses showed that perseverance of effort dimension fully mediated the relationship, but consistency of interest dimension did not mediate the relationship. These findings showed that the perseverance of effort was an important mediator compared to consistency of interest in lecturers."
