"Museum Negeri Banten adalah sebuah museum yang belum lama diresmikan oleh Gubernur Banten Rano Karno pada Oktober 2015. Terletak di alun-alun kota Serang. Bangunan museum ini adalah bangunan peninggalan Belanda yang telah beberapa kali beralih fungsi. Bangunan ini terlihat sangat kokoh dengan ciri khas bangunan Belanda yang memiliki pilar-pilar besar di depannya. Makalah ini membahas tentang gaya bangunan yang diterapkan pada Museum Negeri Banten yang sebelumnya adalah Kantor Keresidenan Banten.Metode yang digunakan adalah dengan penelusuran langsung pada bangunan Museum Negeri Banten dengan melihat langsung keadaan bangunan, melakukan wawancara dengan petugas museum dan dilanjutkan dengan studi kepustakaan.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kecocokan antara karakteristik dan ciri bangunan Indische Empire Style dengan tampilan fisik bangunan yang diteliti.

Banten State Museum is a museum which has only recently been inaugurated by the Banten Governor, Rano Karno, on October 2015. It is located in the Serang city square. The building of this museum is Dutch colonial building whose use has switched functions for several times. This building looks very sturdy with the special characteristic of Dutch colonial building which has thick pillars in the front of the building. This paper will explain about the style of building used in Banten State Museum, previously Banten Residency Office. The author will do a direct examination by observing directly the state of the building, doing interview with museum attendant, and continued with literature study. The result of the study shows the conformity between characteristic of indische empire style building and the physical state of the examined building."

"Tesis ini membahas tentang konsep museum virtual, edukasi di museum dan learning innovation. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Museum Negeri Provinsi Sulawesi Utara, Manado. Mengacu kepada konsep dan teori tersebut, maka untuk meningkatkan peran Museum Negeri Provinsi Sulawesi Utara dalam memberikan pemahaman dan edukasi tentang nilai-nilai budaya mapalus kepada masyarakat banyak, maka pemanfaatan Museum Virtual menjadi salah satu solusi dalam penyampaian edukasi kepada masyarakat. Adapun pendekatan edukasi yang digunakan adalah active learning. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan desain deskriptif. Data dikumpulkan dengan melakukan studi pustaka dan observasi di lapangan. Hasil penelitian berupa konsep museum virtual di Museum Negeri Provinsi Sulawesi Utara.

The focus on this study is about virtual museum concept, education in museum and learning innovation. The study is conducted at State Museum of North Sulawesi Province, at Manado. Referring to the study, to increase the role of the museum in giving comprehension and education about cultural value of Mapalus to public, the use of virtual museum becomes one of the solutions in delivering the education to public. "Tesis ini membahas tentang konsep new museum, identitas, memori kolektif, teori edukasi, dan model ekshibisi di museum. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Museum Negeri Provinsi Sulawesi Utara, Manado. Mengacu kepada konsep dan teori tersebut, maka untuk meningkatkan peran Museum Negeri Provinsi Sulawesi Utara dalam memberikan pemahaman dan edukasi tentang perwujudan nilai-nilai warisan budaya, maka museum ini harus mempresentasikan perwujudan nilainilai warisan budaya Sulawesi Utara pada ekshibisi. Adapun teori edukasi yang tepat adalah konstruktivis, dengan pendekatan ekshibisi tematis. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan desain deskiptif. Data dikumpulkan dengan melakukan studi literatur dan observasi di lapangan. Hasil penelitian berupa penerapan konsep new museum di museum Negeri Provinsi Sulawesi Utara.

This research discusses about the concept of new museum, identity, memory collective, educational theory, and model exhibition at the museum. This research was conducted At The State Museum of North Sulawesi Province, Manado. Refers to concepts and theories, then to enhance the role of the State Museum of North Sulawesi Province in giving understanding and education regarding the embodiment of the values of cultural heritage, the museum must present the embodiment of the values of the cultural heritage of North Sulawesi at the exhibition. As for the right educational theory is constructivist, the exhibition's thematic approach. This research was qualitative research with design deskiptif. Data are collected by conducting studies of the literature and observations in the field. The results of this research is the application of the concept of the new museum at At The State Museum of North Sulawesi Province."
