"White Snake: The Origin (2019) merupakan film animasi yang menceritakan kisah persaudaraan yang kompleks antara Siluman Ular Putih (Xiao Bai) dan Siluman Ular Hijau (Xiao Qing). Film adaptasi ini merupakan film adaptasi pertama dari cerita mitologi Legenda Siluman Ular Putih yang disajikan dalam bentuk animasi dan menceritakan kisah awal mula terjadinya legenda tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membahas penerapan prinsip xinren dalam film tersebut dengan menganalisis kompleksitas hubungan persaudaraan Xiao Bai dan Xiao Qing. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa penerapan prinsip xinren dalam hubungan antara Xiao Bai dan Xiao Qing mempengaruhi dinamika hubungan mereka. Selain itu, kompleksitas penerapan prinsip xinren dalam hubungan persaudaraan antara Xiao Bai dan Xiao Qing membuat karakter dan peran dari tokoh Xiao Bai dan Xiao Qing dan hubungan mereka dalam film menjadi lebih kuat dan kompleks. Melalui penerapan prinsip xinren, film ini juga dapat menciptakan refleksi dan pembelajaran mendalam terhadap norma dan etika yang relevan bagi masyarakat modern.

The film White Snake: The Origin (2019) is an animated film that tells the story of a complex relationship between the White Snake Demon (Xiao Bai) and the Green Snake Demon (Xiao Qing). This film adaptation is the first film adaptation of the mythological story The Legend of the White Snake Demon which is presented in animated form and tells the story of how the legend began. This research aims to discuss the application of the xinren principle in the film by analyzing the complexity of Xiao Bai and Xiao Qing's sibling relationship. The method used in this research is qualitative method. The research results show that the application of xinren principles in the relationship between Xiao Bai and Xiao Qing influences the dynamics of their relationship. Apart from that, the complexity of applying the xinren principle in the sibling relationship between Xiao Bai and Xiao Qing makes the characters and roles of Xiao Bai and Xiao Qing and their relationship in the film stronger and more complex. Through the application of xinren principles, this film can also create in-depth reflection and learning regarding norms and ethics that are relevant to modern society."

"This article discusses various myths spread in several areas of Banten. How Bantenese society understands and believes in myths that have spread and are still maintained from generations to generations and how the roles and functions of myths for Bantenese society constitute the main focus of this article. This article is field research using ethnographical methods based on in anthropological perspective. To analyze the data, the researcher uses a structural-functional approach. Library research, participant-observation, and depth-interview are methods used to collect the data. Myth is a part of folklore that appear in almost every culture of the world, especially in traditional or pre-literate cultures. Various researches, especially conducted by Western scholars, show how myths appear in various socio-religious activities of the society. Myths are also considered have moral values for the society that believes in them. The existence of myths in Bantenese society has influenced, more or less, the socio-religious life of the Bantenese. Myths, in some cases, also play significant roles and functions for Bantenese society such as strengthening something, maintaing cultural identity and solidarity of the society, and keeping prestige and social status."

"Selain itu dalam peranannya sebagai penafsir dan pelaku ritual, komunitas tidak dapat terlepas dari orientasi komunitas itu sendiri terhadap kaidah-kaidah yang berasal dari sumber lain. Orientasi komunitas dalam hal ini dijelaskan sebagai sistem kaidah atau norma yang muncul dalam pertunjukan tabut yang mengacu pada sistem tradisional dan sistem nasional. Lebih jelaskan, orientasi komunitas adalah kecenderungan-kecenderungan komunitas mengaplikasikan kaidah-kaidah, norma-norma yang diadaptasi dari berbagai sumber dalam praktek ritual, baik yang ditransmisikan antar generasi dalam intern komunitas maupun yang diterima melalui sosialisasi langsung dari luar komunitasnya. Kaidah-kaidah atau norma-norma yang dipungut dari sumber yang ditransmisikan antargenerasi dalam komunitas disebut sistem tradisional. Sedangkan kaidah-kaidah atau norma-norma yang diaplikasikan dalam ritual yang bersumber dari luar komunitas disebut sistem nasional."
