"Household culture in Indonesia determines that men are the breadwinners and women take care of the family and home. Increasingly many women are helping to meet the economic needs of the family. However their involvement in the fulfillment of family income is not met with reduced household duties. This paper is the result of a qualitative study female civil servants (PNS) in Ketapang District, West Kalimantan. Sixteen informants were interviewed in depth. The results show that the civil servants, whose husbands have a steady income, managing and using their earnings for their families, do not benefit from the situation. It is obvious from the results that household work is left more to the women and less to the men, even if both spouses maintain a full time job. This study recommends efforts to change the mindset and worldview of women and men towards income and responsibilities concerning the role and position of husband and wife in the family. In addition, there should be efforts to sensitize the general public about the importance of the division labor, power relations and bargaining power of women to create a gender-just society."

"In this study, the authors assessed 48 female survivors of child sexual abuse (CSA) and 71 female control participants using measures of adult sexual function, psychological function (i.e., depression and anxiety), and sexual self-schemas. The primary purpose of this study was to examine whether differences existed between women with and without a history of CSA in the way that they viewed themselves as a sexual person and, if so, whether such differences mediated the link between early unwanted sexual experiences and later adult sexuality. CSA survivors were found to view themselves as less romantic and passionate than women who were not abused. In particular, CSA survivors showed an inverse relationship between romantic/passionate sexual self-schemas and negative sexual affect during sexual arousal. The relationship between CSA and negative sexual affect was independent from symptoms of depression and anxiety, suggesting that the impact of CSA on sexual self-schemas may be independent from the impact that the abuse may have in other areas of the survivor's life."

"
AbstrakDeclining environmental quality is one of population caused by household consumption behavior. Some of the highest contaminant contributions are domestic waste, waste, and company waste. Waste contamination will lead to dead fish, decreased water quality and disease transmission. Community approach can be done to solve the waste problem, especially at the household level. This study uses quantitative methods to analyze the effect of intervention and waste management training on changes in household waste management knowledge and practices. This type of research uses quasi experiment with one group of pre and post test design. The results showed that there was an increase of knowledge about waste management after being given intervention by the researcher because the p value ≤ 0,05. The results also show that there is an increasing practice on waste management after being given intervention by researchers because the p value ≤ 0.05. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the provision of intervention is effective for improving knowledge and practice in the household waste management."

This thesis discusses constructs and practices of women’s sexuality in women prison and in coed prison by analyzing constructs and practices of sex/gender stereotyping and sexual practices and mothering. The research uses a qualitative approach through a feminist-ethnographic method. The research findings have revealed unique and specific contexts leading women to be involved in law-breaking activities; various kinds of gender-based violence and discrimination against women; violations against women’s human rights; disrespect toward women’s diverse sexuality; and the fact that women imprisomnent is more than just a deprivation of freedom of movement. Therefore the research recommends a reconstruction of women’s sexuality in prison, in which women are perceived and treated as whole, complete and free human beings."
