"Iron and Other artifacts were discovered in a number of megalith sites and large paleometalic water jars di dataran tinggi Jambi, Sumatera, while Iron artifacts were considered by the previous researcher, Dominik Bonatz, as imported. Tiongkok and Sa Huynh, southern Vietnam have been considered as the centre of ironwork technology to South East Asian islands in the Paleometalic period. Some questions arise of the mastery of the ironwork technology by the then people inhabiting the highlands of Jambi, of the Dawn era of the ironwork technology, and of the origin of the acquired iron artifacts and technology. Excavations at Gedang-1 and Gedang-2 sites resulted in the findings of slags around the megalith. The slags are identifiable through their physical appearances., while their periodization is learned through the dating analysis of the charcoal found out to be related with the slags. The analysis results cover the ironwork technology and its distribution that indicate the mastery of iron smelting and iron artifacts working by Jambi megalith community at 4th-6th century C.E.. It was presumed that the south east asian ironwork technology land spread through the Sumatran eastcoast to the highlands of Jambi."

"Penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh pusat kendali kesehatan eksternal terhadap perilaku merokok yang dimediasi oleh pengetahuan tentang rokok pada remaja laki-laki. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah aksidental sampling. Subjek penelitian adalah 110 remaja berusia 15?20 tahun di Yogyakarta. Hasil uji reliabilitas menunjukkan skala pusat kendali kesehatan eksternal memiliki reliabilitas yang baik (α = 0,854) sedangkan tes pengetahuan tentang rokok memiliki KR-20 = 0,311 dan skala perilaku merokok α = 0,405 yang artinya bahwa kedua alat ukur tersebut kurang reliabel. Selain itu, data penelitian tidak memenuhi asumsi normalitas (ả = 0,005 < 0,05) dan linieritas yang disyaratkan untuk melakukan analisis jalur sehingga data penelitian tidak dapat digunakan untuk menguji hipotesis yang diajukan dalam penelitian ini. Hasil uji dengan t-tes menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan pusat kendali kesehatan eksternal (t = -0,913; p = 0,363; F = 1,360; p = 0,204 > 0,05) dan pengetahuan tentang rokok (t = 1,572; p = 0,119; F = 1, 276; p = 0,261 > 0,05) antara perokok tetap dan perokok coba-coba. Hasil uji korelasi Spearman menunjukkan ada hubungan antara perilaku merokok dengan pusat kendali kesehatan eksternal (rs = 0,210; p = 0,027 < 0,05) tetapi tidak ada hubungan antara perilaku merokok dengan pengetahuan tentang rokok (rs = 0,155; p = 0,105 > 0,05).

This study was to determine the effect of an external health locus of control on smoking behavior mediated by knowledge about smoking in adolescent boys. The sampling technique was accidental sampling. Subjects were 110 adolescents aged 15-20 years from Yogyakarta. Reliability test results demonstrate the scale of the external health locus of control has good reliability (α = 0.854), while a test of knowledge about smoking have KR-20 = 0.311 and scale α = 0.405 smoking behavior, which means that two instruments are less reliable. In addition, the research data did not meet the assumptions of normality (a = 0.005 < 0.05) and linearity that are required to analyze the data in path analysis. The test results with t-test showed that there were differences in external health locus of control (t = -0.913, p = 0.363; F = 1.360, p = 0.204 > 0.05) and knowledge related to smoking (t = 1.572, p = 0.119; F = 1, 276, p = 0.261 > 0.05) among regular and experiment smokers. Spearman correlation test results showed there is a correlation between smoking behavior with external health locus of control (rs = 0.210, p = 0.027 < 0.05) but there is nota correlation between smoking behavior with knowledge related to smoking (rs = 0.155, p = 0.105 > 0, 05)."
