"Cerpen Duanhun Qiang adalah cerpen yang ditulis oleh Lao She pada tahun 1935. Judul cerpen menyiratkan kondisi Cina saat menghadapi masuknya bangsa Barat yang berkaitan dengan tokoh utama Sha Zilong. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membahas cerpen ini secara lengkap melalui analisis tokoh dan penokohan, alur, serta latar termasuk representasi kondisi Cina pada masa itu melalui gambaran ketidakberdayaan tradisi Cina dalam menghadapi perubahan zaman dari tradisional menuju modern untuk menemukan makna terpenting dalam cerpen ini. Melalui pendekatan intrinsik tersebut, makna dan pesan yang disampaikan secara tersirat oleh pengarang dapat terungkap.

Duanhun Qiang short story is a story written by Lao She in 1935. Its title implies China's conditions in facing the influx of Western, which is associated with the main character Sha Zilong. Therefore, this research is aim to investigate this short story throughly by analyzing the character, plot, and background, includes the representation of conditions in China at that time through an illustration of Chinese traditions helplessness in the face of changing times, to discover the most important meaning of the story itself. Through intrinsic approach, the meaning as well as message that implicitly delivered by the author can be revealed."

"Skripsi ini ditulis untuk melihat sejauh mana sebuah karya sastra mampu mempresentasikan kenyataan yang sesungguhnya. Dalam hal ini penulis memilih topik tentang perempuan yang menjadi inti cerita pendek karya pengarang perempuan Cina bernama Zhang Jie. Permasalahan yang diangkat dalam skripsi ini adalah citra perempuan Cina seperti apa yang ditampilkan oleh tokoh-tokoh perempuan dalam cerpen Ai dan Shei berikut konflik yang mereka hadapi. Untuk mendeskripsikan citra tokoh-tokoh perempuan dalam cerpen Ai dan Shei, konflik yang mereka hadapi, berikut cerminan kehidupan di dalamnya, penulis menggunakan pendekatan intrinsik didukung pendekatan ekstrinsik yang bertolak dari perspektif perempuan. Pendekatan intrinsik menekankan pada analisis tokoh dan penokohan sedangkan pendekatan ekstrinsik digunakan untuk melihat kondisi perempuan Cina yang berkaitan dengan masalah cinta, perkawinan, dan posisi mereka hingga menjelang akhir tahun 1970-an. Dari kedua analisis di atas, penulis menyimpulkan bahwa tokoh-tokoh perempuan dalam Ai dan Shei merupakan representasi perempuan Cina perkotaan di akhir tahun 1970-an yang mandiri, tangguh, dan berpikiran maju, serta memperjuangkan keadilan gender dan sosial terutama dalam hal cinta, perkawinan, dan posisi perempuan."

"Kerusakan hutan menjadi salah satu masalah lingkungan yang mengancam kehidupan manusia. Ancaman kerusakan hutan membuat resah berbagai kalangan, termasuk pengarang yang mengungkapkan keresahannya melalui karya sastra yaitu, cerpen. Cerpen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah empat cerpen bertema kerusakan hutan: cerpen Ongkak karya Fakhrunnas M.A. Jabbar, Harimau Belang karya Guntur Alam, Tebas Tebang karya Syukri Datasan Al-Pauhi, dan Kering rdquo; karya Wa Ode Wulan Ratna. Kerusakan hutan disebabkan kebutuhan manusia yang semakin meningkat yang tidak diiringi dengan pemenuhan kapasitas sumber daya alam di dalam hutan. Permasalahan lingkungan yang akan dibahas dalam keempat cerpen adalah respons pengarang terhadap kondisi lingkungan di sekitarnya. Respons manusia dan hutan dalam keempat cerpen ini meliputi konsep liar rimba, kelas sosial, dan konsekuensi tindakan manusia terhadap kerusakan hutan. Ketiga poin tersebut dianalisis menggunakan pendekatan ekokritik yang menggambarkan hubungan antarmanusia dan lingkungannya.

Forest destruction becomes one of the environmental problems that threaten human life. Threats forest destruction create anxiety among various circles, including authors who are expressing their uneasiness through literary works like short stories. The short story used in this research is four short stories with the theme of forest destruction short story Ongkak by Fakhrunnas M.A. Jabbar, Harimau Belang by Guntur Alam, ldquo Tebas Tebang rdquo by Syukri Datasan Al Pauhi, and Kering rdquo by Wa Ode Wulan Ratna. Forest destruction occurs due to an increasing human need that is not accompanied by the fulfillment of natural resource capacity from within the forest. This environmental issue is discussed in the four short stories as the authors response to the surrounding environmental conditions. The human and forest responses in these four stories include the wild concept of the jungle, the social class, and the consequences of human actions against forest destruction. These three points are analyzed using an ecocritical approach that describes the relationship between humans and their environment. "

Berdasarkan hal tersebut, maka penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membahas cerpen ini secara lengkap melalui analisis alur, latar, serta tokoh dan penokohan, untuk menemukan makna terpenting dalam cerpen ini. Melalui pendekatan intrinsik tersebut, kekuatan satire maupun kritik yang disampaikan secara tersirat oleh pengarang dapat terungkap.

ABSTRACTMr. Hua Wei is a satire short story written by Zhang Tianyi in 1938. Although the story is very short, but this short story has attracted the attention of many literature observers, and considered as a short story that have strong satirical presence at that time. Based on the above information, this thesis intended to thoroughly review the short story, through analyzing plot, setting, and character and characterization to find out the most important meaning of the story. Through the intrinsic approach, the short story?s strength as satire or the criticism that implicitly conveyed by the author can be revealed."
