"Perkembangan pada masa balita adalah perkembangan yang menjadi dasar untuk  pendidikan anak dimasa mendatang. Balita yang mengalami keterlambatan perkembangan akan berdampak pada kehidupan bersosialnya yang menyebabkan balita menjadi rendah diri. Capaian perkembangan berupa kemampuan motorik, bicara dan bahasa serta sosialisasi membantu anak tumbuh secara menyeluruh. Upaya untuk mencapai perkembangan yang sesuai dengan usia dapat dilakukan dengan menstimulasi sedini mungkin. Intervensi dilakukan kepada Anak Z dengan masalah keperawatan risiko keterlambatan perkembangan pada aspek motorik halus dan sosialisasi dan kemandirian. Keterlibatan keluarga menjadi salah satu aspek keberhasilan perkembangan dalam memberikan stimulasi. Pemberian intervensi sensory play menjadi salah satu intervensi untuk meningkatkan perkembangan anak. Setelah dilakukan intervensi sebanyak enam kali, dapat disimpulkan bahwa intervensi sensory play efektif dalam membantu meningkatkan perkembangan Anak Z.

Development during the toddler years is development that becomes the basis for a child's future education. Toddlers who experience developmental delays will have an impact on their social life, causing them to have low self-esteem. Developmental achievements in the form of motor skills, speech, and language, as well as socialization, help children grow as a whole. Efforts to achieve age-appropriate development can be done by stimulating it as early as possible. Intervention was carried out for Child Z with nursing problems and a risk of developmental delays in aspects of fine motor skills, socialization, and independence. Family involvement is one aspect of successful development in providing stimulation. Providing sensory play intervention is one intervention to improve children's development. After carrying out the intervention six times, it can be concluded that the sensory play intervention was effective in helping improve Child Z's development. "
