"ABSTRAKTeenlit adalah salah satu genre dari sastra populer yang digemari oleh sebagian besar masyarakat. Selama beberapa tahun terakhir, penerbitan teenlit semakin banyak dilakukan di Indonesia. Hal tersebut menyebabkan adanya beberapa karya yang memiliki kemiripan di dalamnya, baik dari segi intrinsik maupun ekstrinsik. Penulis menemukan dua buah novel bergenre teenlit yang memiliki banyak kemiripan dan ditulis oleh dua orang pengarang berbeda negara. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif analitis. Penelitian ini bertujuan menjelaskan kemiripan serta ketidaksamaan pada dua novel tersebut melalui kajian sastra bandingan berupa analisis unsur instrinsik tokoh dan penokohan, tema, alur, dan latar. Hasil analisis tersebut menunjukkan bahwa Secret of Heart bukan hasil plagiat.

ABSTRACTTeenlit is one of the popular literature genres favored by most people. Over the last few years, more teenlit publishing has been done in Indonesia. This results causes some works that have similarities in it, both in terms of intrinsic and extrinsic. The author found two novel teenlit that have many similarities and written by two authors who come from different countries. The method used is analytical descriptive method. This study intend to explain the similarities and differences in the two novels through comparative literature study in the form analysis of intrinsic elements are characters and characterizations, themes, plot, and background. The results of the analysis show that Secret of Heart is not the result of plagiarism."

"ABSTRAKDua karya dari sastrawan yang berbeda kebangsaan atau negara sering memperlihatkan kemiripan dalam hal ide dan gaya. Ayahku Bukan Pembohong karya Tere Liye dan Big Fish karya Daniel Wallace memperlihatkan hal itu. Dalam konteks itu menarik kaitannya bila dua karya tersebut ditelaah dan dibandingkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan membandingkan gaya realisme magis dalam kedua novel tersebut. Setelah membandingkan dua karya tersebut, penulis menyimpulkan bahwa kedua novel tersebut sama-sama menunjukkan penokohan yang menempatkan tokoh Ayah sebagai pribadi yang hidup di dunia nyata dengan mimpi dan ambisi. Hal itu tertuang dalam cerita petualangan tokoh Ayah yang narasi dan peristiwanya berada di antara dunia nyata dan dunia magis.

ABSTRACTTwo works of different national or state litterateur often show similarities in ideas and styles. Ayahku Bukan Pembohong by Tere Liye and Big Fish by Daniel Wallace show it. In that context it is interesting to review and compare its relation. This study aims to describe and compare the style of magical realism in both novels. After comparing the two works, the authors conclude that the two novels show characterizations that place father 39 s character as a living person in the real world with dreams and ambitions. It is embodied in the adventure story of the character of father whose narrative and event are between the real world and the magical world."
