"Multicultural society as a way of being-with-others needs a certain form of public reasoning. Unfortunately, the current yet dominant form of public reasoning is infiltrated by biases from occidental culture. This mode of reasoning does nothing but uproot participants from their cultural identity for the sake of universal consensus. Multicultural society, however, consists of identities which are embedded in the individuals? cultural tradition. This sociological fact demands a richer form of rationality that does not deny the multiplicity of cultural values and embedded identities. We need a form of public reasoning which emphasizes cultural understanding rather than abstract consensus. We might call it a multicultural, contextualized and other-regarding form of public reason."

"ABSTRAKFokus yang saya tulis dalam skripsi saya mengenai Upaya Pencegahan Penjualan Kembali (Saham) Dalam Tindak Kejahatan Penipuan Yang Dilakukan Perusahaan Publik Dalam Pasar Modal. Sebenarnya perusahaan menjual saham untuk meningkatkan dananya, dan juga, berharap untuk dalam nilai investasi efek saham dibursa efek Indonesia akan meningkat, untuk membuat dana mereka juga meningkat, perusahaan juga melakukan kejahatan dipasarmodal biasanya adalah: Penipuan, dan dalam praktek Negara seperti diIndonesia, undangundangmelarang perusahaan untuk melakukan kecurangan-kecurangan yang dapatmenyebabkan penderitaan bagi investor, banyak sekali permasalahan yang terjadi seperti, yang pertama Undang-Undang Pasar Modal No. 8 Tahun 1995 ternyata tidak mampu menanggulangi kejahatan penipuan yang ada, dan dalam hal ini untuk menanggulanginya perlu adanya Undang-Undang baru untuk memberikan penegakan hukum yang efektif, yang kedua mengenai “good corporate governance”, banyak sekali perusahaan tidak memakaiprinsip tersebut, sehinga Investor banyak yang dirugikan, untuk menanggulangi hal tersebut, harus dengan Fit and Proper Test terhadap Komisioner dan Direktur yang akan menjalani perusahaan tersebut, yang ketiga banyaknya kasus penipuan yang ada, tidak dilanjutkan ke Pengadilan untuk diberikan sanksi pidana.
