"Skripsi ini membahas komponen makna kembang dan bunga dalam bahasa Indonesia. Kamus BesarBahasa Indonesia digunakan sebagai korpus utama, sedangkan Majalah Ayah Bunda, Majalah Sindo, dan Majalah Trubus digunakan sebagai korpus tambahan dalam penelitian ini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan komponen makna kembang dan bunga, menguraikan bentuk turunan bunga dan kembang dari penggunaannya dalam konteks, dan menemukan etimologi kata bunga dan kembang. Teori makna yang berdekatan dari satuan leksikal yang berbeda, teori komponen makna, dan teori relasi makna digunakan untuk tercapainya tujuan tersebut. Hasil dari penelitian ditentukan bahwa bunga memiliki lima komponen makna, sedangkan kembang memiliki dua komponen makna. Dari komponen makna ini diperoleh hubungan taksonomi, bunga sebagai superordinat dan kembang sebagai subordinat. Bentuk turunan yang muncul dalam konteks dipengaruhi oleh etimologi kembang dan bunga.

This thesis discusses component meaning of kembang and bunga in Indonesian literature. The writer used Kamus Besar Bahasa Indonesia as the main reference, and Majalah Ayah Bunda, Majalah Sindo, and Majalah Trubus as the additional references. The objectives of this study are to determine component meaning of kembang and bunga, outline the derivative forms of kembang and bunga from their usages in context, and find the etymology of kembang and bunga. Theory of simillar meaning from different lexical units, theory of component meaning, and theory of relative meaning were used to fulfill the objectives. The result of this study shows that ?bunga? has five component meanings while ?kembang? has two. Taxonomic relation is obtained from the component meaning, bunga as the superordinate and kembang as the subordinate. The derivative forms in context are affected by the etymology of kembang and bunga."
