"This project is motivated from environmental degradation and pollution problems caused by the outboard motors. Environmental and safety constraints are an increasingly necessity which enforces the demand for new technologies and development. Therefore, this research aims to provide velocity field data correlated to water quality measurements taken during the field tests and used to establish the effect from the outboard motor. Acoustic Doppler Velocimeter (ADV) is widely used for field measurement of two and three dimensional water velocity. The implementation of the ADV measurement technique is accomplished by measuring the phase change in the acoustic signal reflected of the scattering particles in the flow, than by looking at the data that the ADV gave I?ll be using a lot of statistical method in order to identify the outboard velocity signature, the are 9 statistical method that I?m going to use which is: One second average of mean velocity One second average of standard deviation One second average of resultant velocity One second average of skewness One second average of kurtosis One second average of angle of resultant velocity make with x axis Wavelet FFT One second average of Backscatter Intensity (BSI) After using all of the statistical analysis mention above, than I will identify the best statistical method in order to identify the outboard velocity signature. Further analysis will be done by looking at the changing value of mean velocity and backscatter intensity, this than will help to identify the behaviour of different types of outboard motor that used in this research."

"The increase of fuel price has caused fleet operational and shipping business to be in danger situation. The fuel consumption of a ship is influenced by ship volume or wetted area which contributes directly to the increase of ship resistance and the size of main engine. In order to find out the appropriate answers, a series of investigation into river transportation using monohull, catamaran and trimaran types of vessel was carried out. The work focused on the
estimation of total resistance and powering as well as seakeeping characteristics and carried out experimentally using tank test and numerically using a ship design software (Maxsurf). It was found out that the catamaran and trimaran could have less resistance and hence power compared to monohull of similar displacement. The seakeeping
characteristics of the multihull vessels were also comparable with those of the monohull. This is a good indication that river catamaran/trimaran is an efficient and comfortable vessel. If a prototype or real vessel is developed, it can be a very efficient ship as well as a ship with high safety standard."

Abstract
This research is a part of a multidisciplinary research in the Angke River. The aim of this research is to study the river?s water quality from the microbiological point of view in several locations along the Angke River. The locations under this study included: Duri Kosambi, Pesing Poglar, Teluk Gong, Pantai Indah Kapuk and Estuary (4 points). The examinations were held in term of microbiological aspects, based on the guide published by the Ministry of Health, the Republic of Indonesia and concluded according to Government Regulation. The parameter of microbiological tests was the most probability number (MPN) of total and fecal coliform. The method used was done in 2 steps: presumptive and confirmed test. Completed test was conducted to confirm the presence of E.coli and other bacteria in water. The result showed that the water quality of the Angke River was poor; therefore, it is not recommended to be used as drinking water. It is categorized as the 2nd class quality that means it can only be used for water recreation, veterinary, showering plants and or other purposes that require the same quality of water. The MPN of total coliform at Pantai Indah Kapuk and the outer side of river mouth (estuary area) was lower than other areas. People who live in Pantai Indah Kapuk are having a higher economic level. Therefore, it can be assumed that they are more educated people who have more insight about hygiene. Further, the water at the outer side of river mouth contains a higher salt concentration that can kill pathogenic bacteria. In conclusion, the water quality of the Angke River is categorized as 2nd class quality not recommended to be used as dringking water except the water from Pantai Indah Kapuk and estuary area that can be used as dringking water after boiling."

"The main objective of this research was to study the marine bacteriology of the coast of North Sulawesi. The study was
accomplished by calculating the abundance of coliform, heterotrophic, and pathogenic bacteria, and analyzing the
coexistence relationship between bacteria and phytoplanktons. This research, which included the sampling and
laboratory works, has been carried out on 25 – 28 October, 2000. The results suggested that the abundance of each
bacteria was as follows: coliform bacteria range between 227-5940 cfu/100 ml with averages 1814.1 cfu/100 ml, found
in all stations; heterotrophic bacteria range between (1-82) x 103 cfu/ml with averages 12.1 x 103 cfu/ml, it was high
density and has association with phytoplankton Trichodesmium thieubautii. It was also found 6 species of pathogen
bacteria e.g. Aeromonas, Citrobacter, Proteus, Pseudomonas, Yersinia and Shigella. The presence of coliform and
pathogen bacteria was indicator of low quality of the seawater in the sampling area. Based on bacteriological study, the
North Sulawesi Coastal is not suitable for aquaculture and need treatment and controlled for further coastal exploitation."

"After the annulment of the Coastal Water Concessions (HP-3) in 16 June 2011, traditional fisher folk organization leaders found a great fighting spirit to further follow-up the Constitutional Court Ruling to support their daily lives. For those who are being ?evicted? from their living space (the coastal waters), they want to reclaim their rights through constitutional ways. Likewise, those who (feel to) have lost their existence as Indonesian traditional fisher folk are impatient to find out whether there is a breakthrough in the Constitutional Court Ruling that can restore the fisher folk?s family way of life. The ruling itself was complex and not easy to understand: 169 pages, with complex writing systematic and typical legal language. For this reason, the analysis of the Constitutional Court Ruling regarding the Judicial Review on Law No. 27 of 2007 on the Management of Coastal Areas and Small Islands was necessary in order to provide a simpler representation of the Constitutional Court Ruling, and one that is expected to trigger a constructive discussion to implement the favorable parts of the decree for the greatest welfare of the people."
