"Kondisi udara kota Jakarta sudah sangat memprihatinkan. Udara kota Jakarta sudah dipenuhi zat-zat polutan dari emisi kendaraan bermotor (70%) dan industri, rumah tangga dan lain-lain (30%). Zat-zat polutan tersebut berbahaya pada makhluk hidup hingga dapat menyebabkan kematian. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut, pemerintah telah menerapkan program Langit biru dan Pola Transportasi Makro (PTM). Salah satu dari PTM yang diterapkan oleh pemerintah yang berbasis Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) adalah Busway, yang menggunakan bahan bakar gas (BBG) atau CNG (Crude Nature Gas), yang pelaksanaannya diharapkan selesai tahun 2010.Busway diharapkan dapat mengurangi tingkat kemacetan dan polusi udara di kota Jakarta. Untuk mendukung terlaksananya program Busway tersebut diperlukan suatu kajian terhadap supply dan demand BBG untuk Busway koridor II - XV dan perhitungan emisi dari kendaraan bermotor dengan dan tanpa kehadiran Busway sampai tahun 2010 dengan menggunakan permodelan dinamik Power Simulation (Powersim) pada skenario aktual atau sesuai dengan kondisi saat ini.Dari hasil simulasi dengan menggunakan Power Simulation, dapat diketahui bahwa kebutuhan BBG maksimum bus Transjakarta Busway koridor II - XV pada tahun 2010, dengan kecepatan rata-rata 25 km/jam dan headway 0,083 jam (5 menit) yaitu sebesar 73.083.547 LSP. Sedangkan kebutuhan BBG minimum terjadi pada kecepatan 25 km/jam dan headway 10 menit yaitu sebesar 39.095.501 LSP. Dengan beroperasinya Busway maka terjadi pengurangan emisi gas buang kendaraan sebesar 10,5% sampai tahun 2010.

The condition of air in Jakarta city has been fully with pollutants from emission motor vehicles (70%) and industries, household, etc. (30%). Those pollutants very dangerous for any mortal and cause the death. The Solution for that problem, Goverment has been launching Blue Sky Program (Program Langit Biru) and Macro Transportation Pattern (Pola Transportasi Makro, PTM). One kind of Mass Transportation Pattern is busway, which using CNG (Crude Nature Gas) fuel, the implementation hopely finish in 2010.

Level stuck of transportation and air polution in Jakarta City hopely decreased by Busway. For support Busway programs need study of supply and demand CNG for Busway corridors II - XV and account of emission from motor vehicles with and without Busway until 2010 use with dynamic models Power Simulation (Powersim) in real condition scenario.

Based result of Power Simulation, maximum demand of CNG bus Transjakarta Busway for corridors II - XV with average speed 25 km/hours and headway 0,083 hour (5 minutes) is 73.083.547 LSP. Minimum demand with average speed 25 km/hours and headway 0,167 hour (10 minutes) is 39.095.501 LSP. The emission from motor vehicles will be decrease 10,5% until 2010 with Busway."

"Terbatasnya infrastruktur gas bumi adalah hambatan utama dalam memaksimalkan pemakaian gas bumi di Indonesia. Subsidi BBM telah lama membebani anggaran belanja negara, dan menghambat pemakaian energi lebih murah seperti gas bumi. Gas bumi di ekspor lalu sebagai gantinya mengimpor BBM yang lebih mahal menyebabkan banyak kerugian finansial bagi Indonesia. Ditambah persepsi bahwa investasi infrastruktur gas bumi yang sangat mahal akan membebani negara dan membuat harga gas bumi kurang bersaing dengan BBM. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah, pertama, memperoleh gambaran tingkat kemampuan gas bumi mensubstitusi BBM pada berbagai harga gas bumi yang dikaitkan dengan harga minyak bumi. Kedua, memperoleh gambaran seberapa besar investasi infrastruktur gas bumi untuk sejumlah BBM yang disubsititusi, penghematan biaya operasi, impor, dan subsidi yang ditimbulkan. Ketiga, memperoleh gambaran seberapa besar dampak subsitusi ini terhadap kinerja perekonomian Indonesia. Dengan tingkat pengembalian investasi infrastruktur yang dibuat menarik bagi investor swasta, optimasi dilakukan dengan meminimumkan biaya total rantai suplai gas bumi dari sumber gas ke konsumen. Optimasi menggunakan non-linier programming yang diselesaikan dengan metode Generalized Reduced Gradient. Sedangkan dampak substitusi BBM oleh gas bumi terhadap kinerja perekonomian Indonesia dihitung menggunakan ekonometrika. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan harga gas bumi ditangan konsumen dengan pendekatan optimasi adalah antara 59 - 71% dari harga BBM di sektor transportasi dan antara 57 - 63% dari harga BBM di sektor industri dan listrik untuk satuan energi yang setara. Selisih harga-harga ini cukup menarik bagi konsumen BBM untuk pindah ke gas bumi. Nilai penghematan subsidi, impor dan biaya operasi berlipat kali nilai investasinya, lebih dari sepuluh kali untuk sektor listrik dan industri. Hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan bahwa substitusi ini menaikkan PDB sekitar 3,04-5,14%, meningkatan pertumbuhan PDB sekitar 0,21-0,37% dan yang lebih penting, menurunkan pengangguran sebesar 26,78-44,23%, tergantung pada jumlah substitusi BBM ke gas bumi beserta nilai investasi infrastrukturnya, pengurangan biaya energi dan subsidi yang dialokasikan kembali sebagai investasi dan tingkat harga minyak mentah. Jika tanpa reinvestasi batas-batas bawah di atas akan menjadi jauh berkurang. Penurunan pengangguran yang sedemikian besar terutama disebabkan oleh realokasi penghematan subsidi sebagai investasi di sektor konstruksi. Inflasi sedikit meningkat akibat pertumbuhan PDB. Secara keseluruhan, substitusi ini meningkatkan kinerja perekonomian Indonesia secara signifikan.

The lack of natural gas infrastructure is the main hurdle in maximizing natural gas usage in Indonesia. The petroleum fuels subsidy has long burdens the government spending, and discourages less expensive energy usage such as natural gas. Exporting natural gas and importing the more expensive petroleum fuel products cause financial losses to Indonesia. Moreover, the perception of high natural gas investment costs that will burden government spending and pushing the natural gas price up hindered the infrastructure construction. The research objectives are, first, to analyze the ability of natural gas to substitute petroleum fuel for a certain natural gas prices which attached to crude oil prices; second, to analyze the required investment to substitute certain amount of petroleum fuel, as well as its subsidy, import and operating cost reductions; third, to analyze the substitution impact on Indonesia macroeconomic performance. Considering that the natural gas infrastructures are given a favorable return on their investment, the optimization to minimize the total natural gas supply chain cost from the sources to the consumers was performed. The optimization uses the Generalized Reduced Gradient method to solve the non-linear programming problem. Econometric is used to calculate the macroeconomic impacts. The results show that using the optimization approach the end-user natural gas prices can be put between 59 to 71% of petroleum fuel prices in transportation sector and between 57 to 63% of petroleum fuel prices in industrial and electricity sector, for the same of energy equivalent. Those price differences are attractive for the petroleum fuel consumers to switch to natural gas. The amounts of subsidy, import and operating cost reduction returns multiple times of the value of its investment, more than ten times in electricity and industrial sectors. The macroeconomic analysis shows that the substitution facilitate GDP increase of 3.04 to 5.14%, GDP growth increase of 0.21 to 0.37%, and more importantly, unemployment decrease of 26.78 to 44.23%, depending on the amount of petroleum fuel substitution and its investment, as well as the cost/subsidy reduction reallocated as investment and crude oil prices. When the reductions are not reallocated as investment, the above results decrease considerably. Inflation increases slightly because of the increase in GDP growth. The substantial unemployment reduction is facilitated by large investment increase in construction sector resulting from energy subsidies reallocation. In short, the substitution significantly increases Indonesia economic performance."

"[ABSTRAKProduksi gross existing Lapangan X sekitar 4500 bpd (barrel per day). Rencana jangka panjang Lapangan X adalah infill drilling, work over, serta optimasi lifting minyak dan gas dengan target produksi gross 9000 bpd. Karena kapasitas maksimum dari fasilitas yang telah terpasang tidak mampu memenuhi target produksi jangka panjang, maka diperlukan penelitian penambahan peralatan produksi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui alat-alat yang perlu ditambahkan serta kapasitasnya dengan memperhatikan sisi keekonomiannya. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan simulasi produksi dengan variasi laju produksi. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan 3 skenario, Skenario I dengan laju produksi 15 MMscfd; Skenario II dengan laju produksi 20 MMscfd; Skenario III dengan laju produksi 25 MMscfd. Penambahan kapasitas fasilitas produksi dilakukan jika kenaikan laju produksi mencapai 30%. Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa skenario terbaik ialah Skenario III. Peralatan yang perlu ditambahkan pada Skenario III adalah separator HP, separator LP, scrubber HP dan kompresor. Dari Analisis keekonomian yang dilakukan pada skenario III menunjukkan bahwa nilai IRR sebesar 44%, NPV pada 12%DF sebesar MUS$ 5.852,94 dan payout time 3,2 tahun.

"Metode uji distilasi tekanan vakum ASTM D1160 merupakan sifat penuapan biodiesel. sifat penguapan biodisel sangat penting, karena terkait dengan mutu proses pembakaran di mesin disel. keakuratan metoda distilasi, sangat ditentukan oleh variabel kondisi operasi alat seperti; daya pemanasan awal, daya pemanasan lanjutan, waktu pemanasan, suhu media pendingin dan tekanan vakum yang dipakai. keakuratan hasil uji sesuai acuan ASTM D-1160, ditentukan berdasarkan sifat kestabilan tetesan distilat, yang besarnya antara 6-8 ml/menit pada tingkat perolehan distilat 10% sampai 90% vol. dari hasil pengembangan kombinasi Program File pada alat distilasi tekanan vakum ASTM D-1160 otomatis, untuk keakuratan hasil uji penguapan biodisel dengan densitas antara 0,879-0,900 gr/ml, yang relatif baik, dicapai pada kondisi alat: tekanan vakum 3 mmhg, suhu media pendingin 30 derajat celcius, daya pemanasan awal 180 watt, waktu pemanasan 7 menit, daya pemanasan lanjutan 75-80 watt. sedangkan untuk biodisel dan produk biodisel ringan dengan densitas antara 0,8330-0,8560 gr/ml, dicapai pada kondisi alat: daya pemanasan awal 175 watt, waktu pemanasan 6 menit, daya pemanasan lanjutan 70 watt, suhu media pendingin 30 derajat celcius, durasi operasi kerja alat dari IBP-EP antara 32-35 menit."

"Dalam proses mengalirkan hasil eksplorasi minyak dan gas, pola aliran slug menjadi jenis aliran multifasa yang sering muncul (slugging). Fenomena ini tidak diinginkan karena dapat menyebabkan getaran mekanik yang dapat merusak pipa, pengurangan laju produksi minyak dan gas, kerusakan peralatan proses seperti separator,  kerusakan pada pipeline dan flowline yang disebabkan oleh erosi dan fatigue sebagai hasil dari penumpukan liquid dan variasi kecepatan dari partikel fluida. Berbagai teknologi digunakan dalam mengatasi permasalah tersebut, salah satu teknologi terbaru yang murah dan mudah digunakan adalah pompa multifasa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dampak penggunaan pompa multiphase terhadap pengurangan potensi terbentuknya slugging dalam pipa multifasa campuran minyak bumi dan gas alam. Dalam studi ini, simulasi dilakukan menggunakan simulator OLGA Dynamic Multiphase Flow 2017 2.0 dengan bantuan PVTSim 20 sebagai input perangkat lunak untuk karakteristisasi fluida menggunakan data suatu lapangan gas di Kalimantan. Variasi parameter ini dilakukan untuk mendapatkan fenomena yang terjadi pada pipa dan efeknya terhadap pola aliran, laju produksi, liquid hold-up, dan tekanan di pipeline sebagai akibat penggunaan MPP. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan semakin besar laju alir minyak dan gas, semakin stabil dan terjaminnya fluida mengalir di pipeline dengan mengalami sedikit gangguan slugging, baik terrain slugging ataupun riser-based slugging. Selain itu, peletakan posisi pompa multifasa pada jarak 20 m dari wellhead adalah jarak yang menjadi rekomendasi untuk laju alir 5 kg/s, 10 kg/s, dan 15 kg/s. Penggunaan pompa multifasa dapat menurunkan nilai liquid hold-up 0.05 hingga 0.1, meningkatkan production rate (QLT) pada bagian top riser dengan rentang 200 – 600 m3/d, dan menurunkan pressure drop sebesar 1-4 bara.

In the process of flowing the results of the oil and gas exploration, the slug flow pattern is a type of multiphase flow that often appears (slugging). This phenomenon is not desirable because it can cause mechanical vibrations that can damage pipes, reduce the rate of oil and gas production, damage process equipment such as separators, damage to pipelines and flowlines caused by erosion and fatigue as a result of liquid build-up and speed variations of fluid particles. Various technologies are used in overcoming these problems, one of the latest cheap and easy to use technologies is multiphase pumps. This study aims to determine the impact of the use of multiphase pumps on reducing the potential for the formation of slugging in multiphase pipes in a mixture of petroleum and natural gas. In this study, simulations were carried out using the OLGA Dynamic Multiphase Flow 2017 2.0 simulator with the help of PVTSim 20 as input software for fluid characterization using data from a gas field in Kalimantan. This parameter variation is done to obtain the phenomena that occur in the pipeline and their effects on flow patterns, production rates, liquid hold-ups, and pressure in the pipeline as a result of using MPP. The results showed that the greater the oil and gas flow rate, the more stable and guaranteed fluid flows in the pipeline with a slight slugging disturbance, either terrain slugging or riser-based slugging. In addition, laying the position of the multiphase pump at a distance of 20 m from the wellhead is the distance that is recommended for the flow rates of 5 kg / s, 10 kg / s, and 15 kg / s of each oil and gas used. The use of multiphase pumps can reduce the liquid hold-up value from 0.05 to 0.1, increase the rate of production (QLT) in the top riser section with a range of 200 - 600 m3 / d, and decrease in pressure drop by 1-4 bar."

"Laporan Praktik Keinsinyuran ini menggambarkan desain sumur eksplorasi migas di Lapangan "A" di Indonesia. Fokus utama adalah pada eksplorasi sumber daya migas yang terdapat dalam formasi batuan. Karena target eksplorasi berada dalam kondisi High Pressure & High Temperature (HPHT) dan pada kedalaman yang signifikan, desain sumur menjadi krusial untuk menjamin keberhasilan dan keselamatan operasi pengeboran. Proses desain dimulai dengan penetapan well trajectory dimana metode Minimum Curvature digunakan untuk menentukan lintasan pengeboran berbentuk 'S' dari permukaan ke target. Desain ini memungkinkan pencapaian target vertikal meski terdapat keterbatasan koordinat permukaan, mengakomodasi isu pembebasan lahan. Selanjutnya, ukuran lubang dan casing sumur ditetapkan. Desain ini didasarkan pada kebutuhan akuisisi data, metode coring, dan wireline logging. Diagram hole and casing size selector membantu menentukan ukuran yang paling sesuai untuk setiap trayek sumur. Pertimbangan efisiensi biaya mengarah pada pemilihan liner daripada casing penuh untuk tahap tertentu, terutama di trayek terakhir yang memerlukan hydraulic fracturing. Penentuan casing setting depth dilakukan dengan menggunakan data gradien tekanan pori dan tekanan rekah formasi batuan, dengan mempertimbangkan safety factor dan hasil analisis sumur offset di lapangan. Proses ini menetapkan kedalaman kaki casing yang optimal untuk setiap trayek sumur, dengan mempertimbangkan aspek perlindungan sumber air bawah tanah dan pengaturan peralatan pengeboran. Desain casing dan pemilihan spesifikasi casing dilakukan berdasarkan standar internasional API. Aspek teknis seperti burst, collapse, axial, dan triaxial stress diperhitungkan untuk memastikan integritas struktural sumur. This Engineering Practice Report describes the design of oil and gas exploration wells in "A" Field in Indonesia. The primary focus is on the exploration of hydrocarbon resources found in rock formations. Given that the exploration target is in a High Pressure & High Temperature (HPHT) environment and at significant depth, the well design is crucial for ensuring the success and safety of drilling operations. The design process begins with the determination of the well trajectory, using the Minimum Curvature method to define an 'S'-shaped drilling path from the surface to the target. This design allows for the achievement of vertical targets despite limitations in surface coordinates, accommodating land acquisition issues. Next, the sizes of the wellbore and casing are established. This design is based on data acquisition needs, coring methods, and wireline logging. The hole and casing size selector diagram aids in determining the most suitable sizes for each well trajectory. Cost efficiency considerations lead to the selection of liners over full casing for certain stages, particularly in the final trajectory requiring hydraulic fracturing.

The determination of casing setting depth is conducted using data on pore pressure gradients and formation fracture pressures, considering a safety factor and results from the analysis of offset wells in the field. This process sets the optimal casing shoe depth for each well trajectory, considering aspects such as protection of underground water sources and the arrangement of drilling equipment. The design and selection of casing specifications are based on international API standards. Technical aspects such as burst, collapse, axial, and triaxial stress are considered to ensure the structural integrity of the well. Overall, this report presents a methodology for designing hydrocarbon exploration wells in "A" Field, highlighting the challenges and solutions in hydrocarbon exploration in HPHT environments. This approach is aimed at achieving efficient and safe drilling, essential in the oil and gas industry."

"ABSTRAKPada tesis ini membahas tentang antisipasi terhadap perubahan kepemimpinan nasional pasca pemilihan presiden tahun 2014 yang mana nantinya pemerintahan yang baru akan mempunyai kewenangan dalam membuat kebijakan pada bisnis hulu migas di Indonesia. Bagi perusahaan-perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang migas, tentu mempunyai pengharapan agar kebijakan yang dihasilkan dapat memberikan iklim investasi yang kondusif, sehingga perlu dikaji lebih mendalam tentang kebijakan model apa yang akan dihasilkan dan diberlakukan? Utamanya kebijakan di bidang Migas, serta dampaknya bagi eksistensi perusahaan-perusahan migas tersebut. Sebagai entitas bisnis, sudah menjadi bagian yang tak terpisahkan bahwa perusahaan migas internasional dan perusahaan migas nasional dalam menjalankan bisnisnya didukung oleh kegiatan intelijen bisnis (business intelligence) yang mencakup pengumpulan informasi penting mengenai situasi lingkungan tempat entitas tersebut beroperasi, guna mengantisipasi keadaan atau situasi tersebut yang mencakup ketidakpastian (uncertainties) dan kompleksitas (complexity) atas permasalahan ideologi, politik, sosial, ekonomi dan budaya setempat. Melalui konsep analysis TAIDA, informasi yang terkumpul akan diproses menjadi bahan pengambilan keputusan guna mendukung perencanaan stratejik ke depan sebagai bagian dari usaha untuk pengembangan usaha (business development) pada perubahan dinamika kepemimpinan nasional.

ABSTRACT

This thesis discusses about an anticipating to the national leadership changes post the presidential election in 2014. The new administration will have the authority to issue a policy on oil and gas business in Indonesia. The companies which engaged in oil and gas business have certainly expectation that the government policy on oil and gas industry can provide a conducive investment climate, so it needs to be studied more in depth about what policy models to be generated and enforced. The main policy on oil and gas industry as well as the implications of the existence of oil and gas companies in Indonesia. The multinational oil and gas company or the IOGC (International Oil Company) and the national oil company (NOGC) in running their business activities are supported by business intelligence, which its main activity is collecting the important information about the situation surrounding operations area in order to anticipate the uncertainties and complexity of the issues related to ideology, political, social, economic and local culture. This thesis utilizes the TAIDA analysis concept which all collected information will be processed in order to support decision making strategic for further plan as part of the efforts in business development to anticipate the dynamics of change of the national leadership."

"Upaya memaksimalkan penggunaan komponen dalam negeri dalam industri hulu migas merupakan komitmen untuk mendorong pertumbuhan industri barang dan jasa nasional. Peningkatan tingkat komponen dalam negeri tidak terlepas dari strategi yang digunakan oleh pemerintah dalam mengatur perusahaan migas untuk menggunakan produk dalam negeri. "Tesis ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi formula harga Bahan Bakar Gas (BBG) untuk transportasi Natural Gas for Vehicle (NGV) dan Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) di sisi hilir dalam rangka program konversi dari BBM ke BBG. Formula harga BBG dievaluasi dengan memperhitungkan kepentingan konsumen dan keekonomian badan usaha. Tesis ini memulai evaluasi dengan menentukan skala konversi yang akan diterapkan guna menghitung volume kebutuhan BBG. Ruang lingkup basis perhitungan dibatasi untuk wilayah DKI Jakarta dan Banten saja. Kemudian, tesis ini merencanakan sistem distribusi alternatif penyaluran BBG dengan menggunakan sumber (feed) gas dalam bentuk LNG. Ada dua sistem distribusi yang diusulkan oleh tesis ini, pertama, Sistem Distribusi LNG Package, dimana feed LNG dikirim dari LNG Plant dengan LNG carrier ship ke LNG Floating Storage Unit (FSU) sebagai receiving and storage terminal LNG. Selanjutnya, LNG ditransportasikan menggunakan truk LNG sampai ke Stasiun Pengisian LNG-LCNG untuk kemudian disalurkan ke konsumen dalam kemasan NGV ataupun LNG. Kedua, Sistem Distribusi CNG Package, dimana LNG dari FSU ditransportasikan ke LNG Regasification Plant untuk divaporasi dan dikompresi menjadi Compressed Natural Gas (CNG). CNG kemudian diangkut dalam tabung-tabung silinder menggunakan truk trailer menuju Wholesaler NGV (CNG). Terakhir, tesis ini menghitung harga jual NGV dan LNG yang merupakan penjumlahan seluruh biaya investasi dan biaya operational & maintenance yang diamortisasi dengan asumsi masa manfaat infrastruktur selama 20 tahun, dan tingkat suku bunga 15% per tahun. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan didapat harga jual NGV di Wholesaler sebesar Rp 5.485/lsp dan harga jual LNG di SPBG LNGLCNG sebesar Rp 6.142/lsp.

This thesis aims to evaluate gas fuel pricing formula of Natural Gas for Vehicle (NGV) and Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) for transportation at the downstream, in line with the conversion program from oil fuel to gas. Gas price formula is evaluated by taking into account the consumers interests and the economic factor of business entities. This thesis starts the evaluation by determining the scale of conversion to be applied in order to calculate the volume of gas demand. The scope of the calculation is limited within the Area of Jakarta and Banten. Furthermore, this thesis plans alternative gas distribution systems which utilized feed gas in the form of LNG. There are two distribution system proposed by this thesis, first, LNG Distribution System Package, which feed LNG from LNG Plant shipped by LNG carrier to LNG Floating Storage Unit (FSU) as an LNG receiving and storage terminal. Moreover, LNG is transported by LNG trucks to LNG-LCNG Refuling Station then to be distributed to consumers as NGV or LNG. Second, CNG Distribution System Package, where LNG from FSU is transported to LNG regasification plant, then to be vaporized and compressed into Compressed Natural Gas (CNG). Thus, CNG is transported in small cylinder tubes using truck trailers to NGV Wholesaler. Finally, this thesis calculates the price of NGV and LNG, which is the sum of all amortized investment costs and amortized operational & maintenance costs over its lifetime (20 years to be assumed), and an interest rate of 15% per year. Based on the calculation, the price of NGV at wholesaler is Rp 5.485/lge and the price of LNG at LNG-LCNG station is Rp 6.142/lge."
