"Proses perencanaan campuran aspal sangat bergantung pada proporsi material yang ditentuan oleh jenis gradasi agregat serta jenis dan kadar aspal yang digunakan. Dalam penelitian ini digunakan 2 sampel gradasi sebagai pembanding yaitu gradasi menerus (Spek IV laston Binamarga) dan gradasi senjang (Spek Lataston HRS-WC). Sampel diuji pada suhu 90 dengan 50 tumbukan, 110 dengan 2x50 tumbukan, serta 90 dengan 2x120 tumbukan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan untuk nilai deformasi dan kecepatan deformasi pada sampel dengan gradasi menerus nilainya lebih besar daripada sampel dengan gradasi senjang hampir di semua variasi. Nilai VIM dan VMA pada gradasi senjang Lebih besar daripada gradasi menerus, sedangkan untuk nilai stabilitas sampel dengan gradasi senjang memiliki nilai yang lebih besar daripada sampel dengan gradasi menerus.

Asphalt mix design process is dependent on the proportion of material that is determined by the type of aggregate gradation and the type and asphalt content used. In this research 2 samples used for comparison of gradation. gradation Continuous( Spek IV Laston Binamarda) and gap graded (Spek Lataston HRSWC). Samples were tested at 900C 2x50 blows, 1100C with 2x75 blows, and 900C with 2x120 blows. The results showed for the deformation and deformation rate on the sample with continuous gradation have greater value than sample with a graded gap in almost every variation. VIM and VMA values in graded gap Bigger than continuous gradation, whereas for the stability of the sample with a graded gap has a greater value than the sample with continuous gradation."

" Cold recycling is one of technology alternative which can be prefered in selecting the strategy alternative for road rehabilitation project. Learning about the development technology, we also learn about the weaknesses of it. The pavement assessment condition, which sustain heavy traffic load in the road trial, has been identified. In order to evaluate the performance of recycling technology, laboratory testing for material and mixture as well as field observation have been conducted. The evaluations consist of material properties , mixture construction and pavement performance since the the opening traffic until the age of construction in approximately 2 years. The result of laboratory test shows that the mixture strength criteria meet the specification , whereas the field assessment based on functional condition and from structural pavement indicates that pavement performance decreases, this shown by occurring rutting in the some parts of the wheel track. Based from this result , it is predicted that there is a correlation between material, mixture and construction methods and pavement service life. The construction method should be developed in the future to minimize early deterioration. This paper describes about the evaluation result for recycling technology with binder material of a foam bitumen which have been used in road link with heavy traffic load Jatibarang- Palimanan, Pantura, West Java. "

"Aspal beton merupakan salah satu jenis dari lapis perkerasan lentur, perkerasan ini merupakan campuran merata antara agregat bergradasi menerus maupun senjang dengan aspal (bitumen) sebagai bahan pengikat. Dalam pelaksanaannya, aspal beton ini dibuat dalam keadaan panas (hotmix), baik pada tahap pencampuran, penghamparan maupun pada tahap pemadatannya dilaksanakan pada temperatur tertentu. Aspal termasuk bahan yang thermoplastik dimana konsistensinya akan berubah apabila temperatur berubah, sehingga sifat aspal akan berpengaruh terhadap nilai Marshall campuran.
Maka dari itu maksud penelitian ini adalah untuk mengatahui sampai sejauh mana pengaruh variasi temperatur pemadatan yaitu : 90° C, 100° C, 110° C, dan 120°C pada proses pemadatan dengan variasi jumlah tumbukan yaitu : 2x75 dan 2x90 tumbukan, serta variasi gradasi agregat dengan bahan ikat Aspal Shell Penetrasi 60/70.
Berdasarkan hasil yang diperoleh, nilai VMA maupun VIM cenderung menurun seiring bertambahnya temperatur pemadatan, sedangkan nilai stabilitas, flow, dan Marshall Quotient meningkat seiring bertambahnya temperatur pemadatan. Untuk nilai deformasi, campuran dengan gradasi menerus cenderung tinggi pada temperatur antara 1100C dan 1200C, sedangkan pada campuran dengan gradasi senjang, nilai deformasi tertinggi diperoleh pada temperatur 90°C.

Asphalt concrete is one type of flexible pavement layers, this type of pavement layer is a mixture evenly between continuous and gap graded aggregate with asphalt (bitumen) as the binder. Practically, asphalt concrete is made in a hot state (hotmix), in which at the stage of mixing, laying and compacting are held at a certain temperature. Asphalt is a thermoplastic material and its consistency will change when temperature changes, so that properties of bitumen will affect the value of the Marshall mix.
Thus, the purpose of this research is to know the extent of the effect of compaction temperature variations, which are: 90°C, 100°C, 110°C, and 120°C by varying the number of collisions, which are: 2x75 and 2x90 collision, and the variation of aggregate gradation with a binder in the form of Shell Asphalt Penetration 60/70.
Based on the results obtained, the value of VMA and VIM tend to decrease with the increasing of compaction temperature, while the value of stability, flow, and Marshall Quotient increase with the increasing of compaction temperature. For the value of deformation, the mixtures with continuous gradation tend to be high at a temperature between 1100C and 1200C, while in mixtures with gap gradation, the highest deformation values obtained at a temperature of 90°C.

"Campuran aspal panas merupakan salah satu jenis lapis perkerasan yang banyak digunakan di Indonesia. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengkaji karakteristik campuran aspal dengan memodifikasi metode Marshall dengan mengamati deformasi yang dihasilkan melalui variasi jumlah pembebanan yang digunakan adalah 2x50, 2x60, 2x75, dan 2x90 tumbukkan, variasi temperatur pada saat pemadatan 110°C, dan 120°C, dan gradasi yang digunakan adalah jenis gradasi menerus dan gradasi senjang.
Hasil pengujian diolah dengan metode chisquare. VMA dan VIM pada hasil Marshall Test cenderung menurun seiring dengan bertambahnya jumlah tumbukan pada saat pemadatan. Sedangkan untuk nilai Stabilitas, flow, dan Marshall Quotient (MQ) cenderung meningkat.

Hotmix Asphalt is one of road pavement type that most used in indonesia. This research is to observe the asphalt concrette mix deformation that respond to Marshall Testing values and to study the characteristics of asphalt mixtures by modifying the method of Marshall due to static loading (compaction) that are generated through the variation of loading amount used is 2x50, 2x60, 2x75, and 2x90 compaction, the temperature variation on during compaction 110°C, and 120°C, the gradation used are continuous gradation and gap gradation.
The result processed by chi-square statistic methods. The research show that VMA and VIM have increment inclination on the increase on number of blows at compaction process. Whereas the stability, flow, and MQ have descend inclination.
