"A number of problems and challenges surround international tea trade. This study aims to investigate the recent competitiveness of Indonesian tea which consists of package green tea, bulk green tea, package black tea and bulk black tea in global market compared with other tea exporting countries, using two analytical tools: competitiveness matrix and constant market share analysis. Here, competitiveness is defined as the ability to enlarge the share. The study reveals that package green tea and bulk black tea are under bullish period. On the other hand, bulk black tea and package black tea are under bearish period. Indonesian package green tea, in the fifth position, has performed fairly well. Standing in the fifth position, Indonesian bulk green tea export value grows far above its hypothetical level which shows high competitiveness amid less favorable market situation. Indonesian package black tea has performed poorly. The export value is declining as the consequence of misallocation problem and uncompetitive product. Indonesian bulk black tea reaches the third rank although it is still disrupted by misdistribution problem.

Berbagai masalah dan tantangan yang meliputi perdagangan teh dunia seakan mengikis keunggulan teh Indonesia dan menjadikan teh sebuah komoditas ekspor yang kurang menggiurkan bagi Indonesia. Terkait dengan hal tersebut, bagaimanakah sebenarnya daya saing teh Indonesia di pasar dunia saat ini yang dalam hal ini diartikan dengan sebagai kemampuan meningkatkan pangsa pasar. Inilah yang akan dijawab pada penelitian ini. Dengan menggunakan matrik kompetisi dan pendekatan CMS, empat jenis produk Indonesia: teh hijau kemasan, teh hijau curah, teh hitam kemasan dan teh hitam curah akan ditandingkan dengan yang berasal dari negara pengekspor lain. Studi ini mengungkap bahwa ditingkat dunia, teh hijau kemasan dan teh hitam curah sedang bergairah namun tidak demikian dengan teh hijau curah dan teh hitam kemasan. Daya saing teh hijau kemasan Indonesia menduduki posisi lima dunia. Walaupun dinilai perlu merelokasi pasarnya, daya saing teh hijau curah Indonesia juga menempati posisi lima dunia namun tertinggi dibandingkan komoditas teh lainnya. Kinerja ekspor teh hitam kemasan Indonesia menurun, diliputi masalah komposisi pasar yang kurang tepat dan produk yang kurang bersaing. Daya saing teh hitam curah Indonesia menempati posisi tiga di dunia."

"Lada (Pepper ningrum linn) merupakan produk rempah-rempah yang memiliki peran penting dalam perekonomian antara lain sebagai sumber devisa, memberikan lapangan pekerjaan, bahan mentah industri dan konsumsi di dalam negeri.Lada berasal dari India Barat dan dikenal sebagai Rajanya rempah-rempah.
Untuk menganalisa daya saing produk lada Indonesia di pasar dunia, maka dalam penulisan thesis ini di gunakan dua methode, yaitu Constant Market Share Analysis (CMSA) dan Competitiveness Matrix. CMSA digunakan untuk menganalisa produk lada Indonesia dan negara-negara pesaingnya, sedangkan Competitiveness Matrix digunakan untuk melihat daya saing produk lada Indonesia di negara-negara tujuan ekspornya.
Analisa CMS menunjukkan bahwa lada Indonesia untuk HS 090411 tidak kompetitif di pasar dunia. Indonesia memiliki efek daya saing negative yaitu -0,22. Negara pesaing utama Indonesia untuk lada utuh atau yang tidak di tumbuk adalah Vietnam, Brazil, European Union, Jerman dan China. Untuk lada bubuk atau produk lada HS 090412, analisa CMS menunjukkan bahwasannya Indonesia memiliki efek daya saing positif yaitu 0,75. India, Vietnam, China, Malaysia, USA, dan Singapura merupakan negara-negara pesaing Indonesia untuk produk ini.
Competitiveness Matrix menunjukkan bahwa pasar yang sesuai untuk lada utuh Indonesia adalah Kanada, Jerman, Malaysia dan Afrika Selatan. Negara-negara tersebut memiliki pertumbuhan yang positif dan diklasifikasikan sebagai rising stars. Sedangkan pasar yang sesuai untuk lada bubuk adalah Jepang dan Korea yang memiliki nilai baik untuk setiap variable daya saing.
Pepper (Pepper ningrum Linn) is one of the spice products that has a significant role on the economy such as national foreign exchange earnings, providing job opportunity, raw material of internal country industry and direct consumption in the country. Pepper comes from West India and is called by ?King of Spices?.
To examine the competitiveness of Indonesian pepper product in the world market, uses two methods; constant market share analysis (CMS) and competitiveness matrix. CMS Analysis is to measure Indonesia and its main competitors, while Competitiveness Matrix is to examine Indonesian pepper product competitiveness in Indonesia?s destination exporting countries. CMS analysis shows that Indonesian pepper HS 090411 is not competitive in the global market.
Indonesia has negative competitiveness effect (-0.22). Indonesian main competitor for pepper neither crushed nor ground are Vietnam, Brazil, European Union, Germany and China. For pepper crushed or ground CMS analysis shows that Indonesia has positive competitiveness (0.75). India, Vietnam, China, Malaysia, USA, and Singapore are Indonesia?s competitors for pepper crushed or ground.
Competitiveness matrix result shows that the appropriate markets for Indonesia?s pepper neither crushed nor ground are Canada, Germany, Malaysia, and South Africa, which have a positive growth and graded as rising stars. Meanwhile, for Indonesia?s pepper crushed or ground, the appropriate markets are Japan and Korea that have a good remark in all variables of competitiveness.

"Penelitian yang dilakukan bertujuan untuk mengetahui pertumbuhan ekspor TPT Indonesia di pasar dunia dan mengetahui posisi daya saing TPT Indonesia di pasar dunia dengan menggunakan pendekatan Constant Market Share (CMS) dan Indeks Spesialisasi Perdagangan (ISP). Data statistik menunjukan bahwa pertumbuhan ekspot TPT Indonesia pada tahun 2002-2004 berada di bawah pertumbuhan ekspor TPT dunia. Hal ini terjadi karena adanya kuota, dengan adanya kuota maka Indonesia tidak dapat melakukan ekspor TPT melebihi kuota yang telah ditentukan sehingga pertumbuhan ekspor TPT Indonesia dibawah pertumbuhan ekspor dunia. Dalam rangka meningkatkan pertumbuhan ekspor TPT Indonesia, diperluka upaya untuk meningkatkan komposisi produk TPT melalui peningkatan ekspor TPT Indonesia dalam bentuk produk-produk menengah (midstream) dan hilir (downstream). Selain itu, diperluka upaya untuk meningkatkan pengaruh distribusi pasar. Pada aspek daya saing, posisis daya saing TPT Indonesia tahun 2002 dan 2004 lebih lemah dibandingkan negara-negara produsen TPT lainnya.
This research aim to know growth of Indonesian TPT export at world market and to know the competitiveness of Indonesian TPT (Textile Product Textile) in the world market using Constant Market Share (CMS) approach and Trade Specialization Index (TSI). Statistic show that in year 2002-2004 export growth of Indonesian TPT under world export growth for TPT. This happen because quota, that make Indonesian can't export more TPT to the world market. In order to increase export growth for Indonesian TPT, the TPT composition must be improve trough export midstream and downstream product. Beside that, influence of market distribution has to be increasing. For competitiveness aspect, in year 2002 and 2004 Indonesian position for competitiveness weaker compare with other TPT producer."

"Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menganalisis daya saing karet alam Indonesia di pasar dunia, Amerika Serikat, Jepang dan Cina dengan menggunakan Revealed Comparative Advantage (RCA), Indeks Spesialisasi Ekspor (ESI) dan Competitiveness Matrix. Produk yang dipilih adalah Natural Rubber, Balata, Gutta-Percha, Guayule, Chicle and Similar Natural Gums, in Primary Forms or in Plates, Sheets or Strip (HS 4001). Analisis penelitian dilakukan pada tahun 2004 sampai dengan tahun 2008 dengan negara tujuan adalah Amerika Serikat, Jepang dan Cina.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa daya saing dari komoditi karet alam Indonesia lebih kuat dibandingkan dengan rata-rata dunia, daya saing dari komoditi karet alam Indonesia lebih kuat dibandingkan dengan ratarata ekspor karet alam dari negara-negara lain ke pasar Amerika Serikat, Jepang dan China, karet alam Indonesia memiliki posisi yang baik untuk dipertahankan di pasar Amerika Serikat, Jepang dan Cina dan strategi harus difokuskan pada strategi penetrasi pasar.

This research?s purposes are analyzing the competitiveness of Indonesian natural rubber in the global, the USA?, Japan?s and China's market using Revealed Comparative Advantage (RCA), Export Specialization Index (ESI) and Competitiveness Matrix. The product that selected is Natural Rubber, Balata, Gutta-Percha, Guayule, Chicle and Similar Natural Gums, in Primary Forms or in Plates, Sheets or Strip (HS 4001). Analysis of research conducted in 2004 until 2008 with the countries of destination are the United States, Japan and China.
The results of this research show that the competitiveness of Indonesian natural rubber commodity is stronger than the world average, the competitiveness of Indonesia's natural rubber commodity is stronger than the average natural rubber exports from other countries to the United States, Japan?s and China's market, Indonesian natural rubber has a good position to be maintained in the United States, Japan's and China's market and the strategy should be focused on market penetration strategy.

"Krisis ketidakseimbangan antara permintaan dan pasokan tenaga perawat di pasar kesehatan global menjadi perhatian, termasuk di Indonesia. Saat ini tenaga perawat Indonesia mengalami surplus, yakni sebanyak 2.298 perawat secara nasional, dan diprediksi akan terus meningkat di tahun-tahun mendatang. Di samping itu, hampir seluruh Puskesmas (99.9%) sudah memiliki perawat yang tersebar di seluruh Indonesia. Berdasarkan demand, saat ini terdapat 23.579 job order, namun hanya 20,4% penempatan tenaga perawat Indonesia di pasar global yang telah terpenuhi. Tantangan seperti kualifikasi yang tidak sesuai, kesulitan adaptasi budaya, ketahanan mental, karir stagnan, deskilling, dan brain waste bertentangan dengan tujuan Permenkes 37/2015 tentang Pendayagunaan Tenaga Kesehatan Indonesia ke Luar Negeri. Permenkes ini belum menjelaskan detail pendayagunaan sebelum dan pasca migrasi serta matriks peranan stakeholder. Analisis menggunakan teori Van Meter dan Van Horn (1975) melalui wawancara mendalam menunjukkan tujuan kebijakan mencakup alih ilmu, peningkatan profesionalisme, dan penyediaan lapangan kerja. Sumber daya dan komunikasi antar badan pelaksana memadai, namun peran pemerintah daerah dalam diseminasi informasi dan pelatihan perlu ditingkatkan. Disposisi badan pelaksana positif, namun kinerja kebijakan belum optimal, terbukti dari belum terpenuhinya job order, alih ilmu pengetahuan yang belum optimal, dan belum adanya payung hukum pendayagunaan pasca migrasi. Kemenkes berupaya meningkatkan kinerja dengan menyiapkan tenaga perawat berkualifikasi dan merinci pendayagunaan dalam revisi Permenkes 37/2015. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan optimalisasi koordinasi antara Kemenkes dan stakeholder lainnya seperti Kemdikbud, BP2MI, Pemerintah Daerah, Kemlu, dan Kemnaker.

The imbalance crisis between the demand and supply of nursing personnel in the global healthcare market is a concern, including in Indonesia. Currently, Indonesia is experiencing a surplus of nurses, amounting to 2,298 nurses nationally, and this number is predicted to continue to increase in the coming years. Moreover, almost all Community Health Centers (Puskesmas) (99.9%) already have nurses spread throughout Indonesia. Based on demand, there are currently 23,579 job orders, but only 20.4% of the placement of Indonesian nurses in the global market has been fulfilled. Challenges such as mismatched qualifications, cultural adaptation difficulties, mental resilience, career stagnation, deskilling, and brain waste contradict the objectives of Permenkes 37/2015 regarding the Utilization of Indonesian Health Workers Abroad. This regulation does not detail the utilization before and after migration, nor the stakeholder role matrix. An analysis using the theory of Van Meter and Van Horn (1975) through in-depth interviews shows that policy objectives include knowledge transfer, professionalism enhancement, and job creation. Resources and communication between implementing bodies are adequate, but the role of local governments in information dissemination and training needs to be enhanced. The disposition of the implementing bodies is positive, but policy performance has not been optimal, as evidenced by the unfulfilled job orders, suboptimal knowledge transfer, and the absence of a legal framework for post-migration utilization. The Ministry of Health is working to improve performance by preparing qualified nurses and detailing utilization in the revision of Permenkes 37/2015. This study recommends optimizing coordination between the Ministry of Health and other stakeholders such as the Ministry of Education and Culture, BP2MI, Local Governments, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Ministry of Manpower."
