"Ciu adalah minuman beralkohol tradisional yang memiliki keterikatan sejarah dan budaya khususnya di Sukoharjo. Permasalahan muncul ketika Pemkab Sukoharjo melakukan kriminalisasi ciu berupa pelarangan penjualan, pendistribusian, dan penggunaan ciu melalui mengesahkan Perda Nomor 7 Tahun 2012. Peneliti melihat bahwa kriminalisasi ciu merupakan bentuk pendefinisian kejahatan yang memiliki struktur kepentingan masyarakat kelas atas. Dengan menggunakan studi dokumentasi dan wawancara konfirmasi sebagai teknik pengumpulan data, peneliti berusaha menjelaskan bagaimana struktur kepentingan terjadi dalam kriminalisasi ciu. Hasil analisa data menunjukkan bahwa terdapat kepentingan politik, ekonomi, agama, ekonomi dalam kriminalisasi ciu. Terakhir, peneliti menyimpulkan bahwa kepentingan ekonomi dan politik memiliki hubungan yang dekat dan memiliki porsi terbesar dalam kriminalisasi ciu.

Ciu is a traditional alcoholic beverage (moonshine) that has a historical and cultural attachment in Sukoharjo. The problem arised when the local government of Sukoharjo started to criminalize ciu through the sale, distribution, and usage prohibition of ciu by local law (Perda Nomor 7 Tahun 2012). I assume that the criminalization of ciu is a form of crime definition that has a structure of interests of the upper class society. Using the documentation study as data collection technique and then confirmed by interview, I want to describe how the structure of interest occurs in the criminalization of ciu. Data analysis show that there were some interest in the criminalization such as politic, economy, religion, and public. Finally, I conclude that the economical and political interests have a close connection of interest structure in criminalizing ciu."

"Kejahatan pencurian kendaraan bermotor di wilayah hukum Poltabes Pekanbaru, saat ini telah mulai menemukan bentuk dan modus operandi yang semakin profesional, wilayah operasi yang tidak terbatas, jaringan kerja yang terorganisir serta para pelaku yang cenderung semakin membahayakan. Perkembangan jenis kejahatan ini dipengaruhi oleh banyak hal, antara lain: bertambahnya jumlah penduduk dan jumlah kepemilikan kendaraan bermotor, kurangnya lapangan kerja yang tersedia serta banyaknya kegagalan yang dialami warga dalam mengintegrasikan dirinya dengan masyarakat sosial.Untuk mendeskripsikan motif yang melatarbelakangi serta modus operandi pelakunya, digunakan pendekatan kualitatif melalui studi dokumen dan penelitian lapangan dengan teknik wawancara tak berstruktur. Lima kategori kejahatan pencurian kendaraan bermotor dari Charles McCaghy, digunakan untuk menjelaskan hasil penelitian ini.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, kejahatan pencurian kendaraan bermotor di wilayah hukum Poltabes Pekanbaru, terstruktur oleh pilihan-pilihan yang bersifat rasional. Para pelakunya ada yang beroperasi secara amatir tanpa perencanaan dan ada pula yang beroperasi secara profesional dengan kemampuan dan keahlian teknis. Kesulitan ekonomi merupakan motif yang mendominasi terjadinya kejahatan pencurian kendaraan bermotor di wilayah hukum Poltabes Pekanbaru. Modus operandi paling konvensional yang dipergunakan oleh para pelaku adalah dengan menggunakan kunci berbentuk huruf T, setelah dipereteli dan diganti plat no. polisinya, kendaraan hasil kejahatan mereka dijual kepada penadah di luar kota atau kepada oknum TNI."

"[ABSTRAKPenelitian ini membahas tentang kekerasan struktural yang dialami oleh lansia. Penelitian dilakukan dengan melihat adanya kerentanan sosial yang dialami oleh lansia sebagai hasil dari konstruksi sosial yang merendahkan tentang lansia yang terbentuk di dalam struktur masyarakat. Selain konstruksi sosial yang merendahkan, kemiskinan yang dialami oleh lansia semakin memberikan resiko kerentanan yang lebih untuk lansia mengalami berbagai perlakuan yang merugikan dan menderitakan yaitu, eksklusi sosial dan perlakuan salah atau elder abuse. Hal ini mengakibatkan lansia kehilangan beberapa hak dasar kemanusiannya yang dimaknai sebagai kekerasan struktural. Lansia penghuni panti werdha di Bekasi yang mengalami kekerasan struktural menjadi subyek penelitian, yang pengalamannya didapatkan melalui wawancara mendalam tidak terstruktur dan observasi partisipasi digunakan sebagai data untuk menganalisis dalam penelitian ini. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kritis untuk melihat bagaimana kekerasan strukural yang dialami oleh lansia penghuni panti werdha di Bekasi sebagai hasil dari konstruksi sosial yang merendahkan tentang lansia.

"Jemaat Ahmadiyah Indonesia merupakan kelompok minoritas Agama Islam yang mendapatkan diskriminasi oleh Pemerintah Republik Indonesia salah satunya merupakan kebijakan oleh Pemerintah Daerah yaitu Peraturan Gubernur Jawa Barat No 12 Tahun 2011 tentang Larangan Kegiatan Jemaat Ahmadiyah Indonesia di Jawa Barat. Kebijakan yang dibentuk dengan dasar perlindungan terhadap kelompok Jemaat Ahmadiyah Indonesia merupakan bentuk diskriminasi melihat konten dalam kebijakan tersebut berusaha melakukan kriminalisasi terhadap kelompok Jemaat Ahmadiyah Indonesia. Kebijakan yang dibentuk dengan tujuan untuk melindungi sebenarnya merupakan sebuah bentuk usaha kriminalisasi dan diskriminasi, hal ini menghasilkan terbentuknya konstruksi kejahatan terhadap kelompok Jemaat Ahmadiyah Indonesia yang ada di Provinsi Jawa Barat. Konstruksi kejahatan yang dibentuk terhadap kelompok minoritas terus mengkriminalisasi dan mendiskriminasi biarpun tujuan dari pembentukan Peraturan Gubernur Jawa Barat No 12 Tahun 2011 tidak lagi relevan dengan kondisi yang terjadi pada masyarakat Indonesia.
