Australia is a country with representative democracy, where its people have the freedom to elect candidates who will run the government as their representation directly. Australia's democratic system basically has values that uphold freedom, including freedom of choice and choice; freedom of assembly and political participation; freedom of speech, expression and religious beliefs; rule of law; and other human rights. However, in the 21st-century, democracy in Australia has lost its direction. The erosion of accountability and transparency has undermined democracy in Australia. Therefore the spirit of democratic freedom needs to be created and revived through interactions between the government and its citizens. To achieve this goal, the Queensland government will create a place called the Hall of Democracy. Through the direction of Grievous Keppler, great-grandson of Frederick Keppler, the Hall of Democracy will has the main function as a forum for
Queensland people to revive their democracy, where people can oversee government activities, discuss with representatives of government, and conduct various debating or discussion activities that can make the city of Brisbane develop for the better. To achieve this goal and become a building that symbolizes a free and transparent democracy, in its development the Hall of Democracy will implement glass technology called luxfer prism without ignoring applicable local
building laws and the vision of the client. So, in the end, the building can become a strong symbol of the meaning of democracy which is believed and looks beautiful, full of surprises, and full of hopes.
