"Tugas karya akhir ini membahas peran Australia dalam mengentaskan konflik etnis di Kepulauan Solomon. Peran Australia ini akan dilihat melalui tiga paradigma besar dalam Ilmu Hubungan Internasional, yaitu Realisme, Liberalisme, dan Konstruktivisme. Pembahasan ini bertujuan untuk memberikan penjelasan yang komprehensif mengenai andil Australia dalam pengembalian perdamaian dan stabilitas di Kep. Solomon melalui misi bantuan Regional Assistance Mission to the Solomon Islands (RAMSI). Dinamika hubungan antara Australia dan Kep. Solomon dalam misi RAMSI ini akan dijelaskan melalui teori Hegemonic Stability pada paradigma Realisme, konsep Interdependensi pada paradigma Liberalisme, dan konsep sosialisasi norma, nilai, ide dan keyakinan pada paradigma Konstruktivisme. Hasil yang didapatkan adalah dari penjelasan dalam masing-masing paradigma bahwa Australia adalah negara besar yang bertanggungjawab dengan menanggung cost tertentu bagi penanggulangan konflik etnis di Kep. Solomon.

This final assignment discusses about Australia’s big role in tackling ethnic conflict in the Solomon Islands. This role will be explained through three major paradigms within the International Relations Studies, which are Realism, Liberalism and Constructivism. The analysis within this final assignment will provide a comprehensive understanding about how Australia’s role really matters in terms of peacekeeping and regaining stability in Solomon Islands through Regional Assistance Mission to the Solomon Islands (RAMSI). The relationship dynamics between Australia and Solomon Islands will be explained through Hegemonic Stability Theory in Realism perspective, the concept of Interdependence in Liberalism perspective, and the concept of Socialization of Norms, Values, Ideas and Beliefs within the Constructivism perspective. The outcome of this research is a clear analysis in each paradigm on how Australia, a big power player in the Pacific, is responsible and willing to sacrifice some important costs in tackling ethnic conflict in the Solomon Islands."
