"The interaction power and economic phenomena may provide an appealing focus for political economy. This article is expected to be a critical overview of the current Indonesia political economy condition. When the role of state is limited only as watchdog and the ruler of the game is the private sectors this can be called as a free capitalism. According to the theories of political economy by Caporasao and Livine, our country status to the political economy roles is a weak state. Multinational Cooperation has played an important role in Indonesia economy. Free market seems to get the heavent place in our country with the biggest five highly populated. In the free market economy, individuals enter to relations (exchange) voluntary but the free market eliminated authority allocation, coeverceice forms of labor and so on. By replacing authority wih voluntary contract, the market economy shows to eliminate the state power. Therefore, this article suggests that we need to firm our state - centered approaches to political economy. The state policy to the private sector is too loose and let them treat it as an instrument or instution employed by individuals or groups as a way of achieving private ends. tThis form of determination leaves the state in a derivative position. deprived of its own logic, lacking of motivation and source of energy lying outside economy, the state is reduced to a dependent variable. First, a clear distinction is made between state and economy. second economy is accorded a primary place, with the scenes and interests of individuals at the center. And the third, the state is treated as a vehicle to satisfy wants when they cannot be satisfied privately. This article approaches to political economy centering of an active state whose agenda is not to reducible to wants emerging within the private atmosphere. The article begins with a discussion on the state autonomy, society centered approaches, a transformational view of the state and conclusion."

"Tesis ini berupaya menjelaskan didalam era globalisasi ini bahwa Teknologi informasi yang telah merambah hampir seluruh dunia via satelit dengan implikasi pada system penyiaran global, secara tidak langsung dengan melihat acara-acara yang ada di media teleivisi, membaca media cetak serta mendengar radio, telah membuat perpindahan suatu budaya, politik. Disamping isu-issu lingkungan hidup, hak asasi manusia dan demokrasi membuat kita dituntut untuk melakukan adaptasi ataupun reformasi secara besar-besaran.Menguatnya suatu aktor non-pemerintah yaitu Para Kapitalis yang bernaung didalam Korporasi usaha berskala internasional yang memainkan perannya didalam politik, ekonomi, lingkungan, humaniter dan bahkan tidak jarang aktor non-pemerintah tersebut dapat mengacaukan perekonomian suatu negara. Peran tersebut mereka lakukan lewat transaksi di pasar mata uang & stock exchange secara internasional yang dilakukan secara bebas, serta ketidak mampuan Bank Sentral suatu negara untuk mengontrol nilai tukar mata uangnya sehingga krisis multi dimensi terjadi seperti yang dihadapi Indonesia saat ini.Adanya beberapa negara maju yang berbahasa sama yang memainkan perannya, bagaimana memastikan perusahaan mereka dapat memperoleh irisan kue ekonomi global dengan menggunakan teknologi satelit sebagai mata-mata mereka untuk kepentingan politik dan ekonominya demi kepentingan negaranya yang lebih luas, dan dengan dasar itu juga negara-negara maju tersebut memainkan perannya untuk menguasai negara-negara yang dianggapnya bertentangan dengan kepentingan negara mereka.Demikian juga suatu Lembaga Keuangan Intenational Monitory Funds (IMF) yang dimotori oleh Amerika Serikat memainkan perannya dengan membuat scenario, dengan dalih memberikan bantuan pinjaman uang kepada negara yang ditujunya, namun dibalik itu ada maksud dan tujuan yang lebih mendalam yaitu untuk menguasai sumberdaya alam dan ekonominya, yang ahirnya negara penerima pinjaman tersebut akan selalu tergantung kepada lembaga keuangan pemberi pinjaman.Untuk itu kita (pemerintah dan masyarakatnya) dituntut lebih akomodatif serta peka terhadap situasi dan kondisi perubahan yang terjadi setiap saat, agar kita dapat terhindar dari arus ombak globalisasi yang melanda dunia sekarang ini. Disamping itu negara/pemerintah dituntut agar berpihak kepada rakyatnya, serta adaya kerjasama dalam menghadapi situasi yang dihadapinya agar terhindar dari penguasaan negara lain didalam perdagangan pasar bebas dan politik bisnis yang dilakukan oleh negara-negara maju dan negara lainnya.

This thesis is attempting to explain that in this globalization era in which information technology has spread out all over the world through satellite with implication on the global broadcasting system, indirectly through television programs, printed media and radio has made transformation both on cultural and political aspects. In addition to the environmental issues, human right and democracy which demand us to adjust ourselves with these changes and to make total reformation.

Non government actors, in this case the capitalists under international-scale corporations? which are growing stronger and play their important role in political, economic, environmental, and humanity aspects, often destruct local economic pattern. They do their roles through international money market and stock exchange in which they can do it freely, and the inability of Central Bank of a country to control its currency so that multi dimensional crisis occurs in a country like Indonesia.

Some of the advanced countries speaking the same language are trying to win or to take part, "how to ensure their firm get decent slice of the "global economic pie" of information technology benefits. Using satellite technology as their means of intelligence for the sake of the political, economic and general purpose of their countries, and based on that, the advanced countries also play their role to dominate other countries which they consider as their opposing countries.

So is International Monetary Fund (IMF) led by United States of America who plays its role by making scenario, using loan to the target countries, but in fact there is a disguising purpose to exploit natural resource and economy, which in turn the doctor country will be permanently dependent to the creditor or the monetary institution.

Considering the above description, we, the government and the people, must be accommodative and sensitive toward the situations and conditions that change every time, so that we can anticipate the globalization backwash happening on the world. Apart from that, the government must be concerned with public interest in general, and the government must work together with the people to encounter the problems so that they can prevented from other country's domination in the free market political business by advanced countries."
