"ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing terhadap kepercayaan diri siswa. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMAN 24 Kabupaten Tangerang pada bulan Januari-Juni 2013. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuasi eksperimen, subyek dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari 77 siswa, dibagi menjadi 2 kelompok: yaitu kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol. Desain penelitian dalam penelitian ini adalah nonequivalent control group design. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes kepercayaan diri dan lembar observasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan kepercayaan diri siswa untuk kelompok eksperimen (rata-rata = 54,49 dan simpangan baku = 18,67) lebih rendah daripada kelompok kontrol (rata-rata = 57,63 dan simpangan baku sebesar 14,37). Setelah dilakukan uji Mann-Whitney (pada taraf signifikansi 95%) diperoleh nilai α sebesar 0,293 > 0,05. Maka dapat disimpulkan tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara rata-rata kepercayan diri siswa kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol. "

"The purpose of this research are: 1) to get the picture of student,s creativity in science activity by implementing contextual approach to kindergartens; 2) to get the picture of student's creativity in science activity by implementing conventional approach to kindergarten's know the different of kindergarten's student's; 3) to know the different of kindergarten's student's creativity between the students taught by implementing contextual approach and the other ones taught by implementing conventional approach in science activity. Data are analyzed with the descriptive and inferential statistics; The result of this research shows that 1) In the science activity, creativity, the creativity of kindergartens' students; taught by implementing contextual approach having a higher average point to the ones taught by implementing the conventional approach; 2) In contextual approach teaching , the number of students having higher point than the average point are higher to the ones having lower point than the average point. The same result is obtained in conventional approach teaching as well; 3) The number of students having higher point than the average point in contextual approach teaching are higher to the ones in conventional approach teaching."

"Science is a matter of both content and process. Hance, during teaching session these two aspects be developed simultaneously. In connection with this issue, inquiry approach is believed as relevant and effective strategy to be employed in both aspects (content and process) during teaching science session. However, this approach is not familiar among educational communities yet since they are still unable to formulate productive question. This due to their belief that productive question is needed to be applied only at the beginning of the approach. Earlier research conducted by the same researcher showed that the ability of elementary school - teacher in guiding student to deliver productive question was still very poor. So, this research aimed to enhance the ability by using inquiry approach. data analysis showed that the use of multimedia kit question word and example of productive question were still not able to improve their ability. Results showed that an increasing in the average number of productive question had proven as not increasing significantly. An improvement of strategy by applying inquiry approach in science-based teaching is recommende."

"besides physical test normally, early detection on the condition of the body by using the image processing of iris is an alternative method to observe the health of human's body, especially the internal organ of the body. in this paper, some image processing methodes are used to enhance the quality of iris image so that the problem that happens in area of pancreas can be detected clearly. the problem is represented by the form of broken tissue in iris. by using genetic programming, this iris image will be used as an input of an artificial intelligence system in detecting the internal organ disorder. the result of this detecting will be compared with the insulin normally test"
