"Skripsi ini menganalisis strategi kesantunan dan prinsip kerja sama antara pemandu acara dan narasumber. Tujuannya adalah mengetahui strategi bertutur apa sajakah yang digunakan keduanya yang berimplikasi untuk menjaga dan melindungi ‘muka’ yang bersangkutan dari keterancaman. Dari penelitian ini diperoleh beberapa penggunaan strategi kesantunan dan pelanggaran yang terjadi dalam sebuah percakapan antara pemandu acara dan narasumber. Kesimpulan dari analisis tersebut adalah strategi kesantunan yang lebih sering digunakan baik oleh pemandu acara maupun narasumber adalah strategi kesantunan positif sub strategi menghindari pertentangan dengan cara membatasi pendapat. Membatasi pendapat dengan menggunakan pemagar dilakukan keduanya sebagai penanda kehati-hatian atas tuturannya dan berimplikasi terbangunnya citra positif keduanya. Penggunaan strategi bertutur oleh narasumber berdampak terjadinya pelanggaran prinsip kerja sama Grice. Pelanggaran yang sering dilakukan adalah pelanggaran maksim kualitas, namun pelanggaran maksim yang terjadi bukan berarti bahwa narasumber tidak mau bekerja sama dengan pemandu acara, melainkan untuk keperluan kesantunan dan menjaga hubungan sosial antara keduanya.

This thesis analyzes politeness strategies and principles of cooperation between the host and informant. The goal is to figure out a strategy tells what are the implications that they use to guard and protect 'face' in question from threat. From this study obtained some use of politeness strategies and the violations that occurred in a conversation between host and informant. The conclusion of the analysis is politeness strategy is more often used by both the host and the informant is a positive politeness strategy sub-strategies to avoid disagreement by hedging the opinion. Hedging opinion used by both as tools to protect their face and implies a positive image of the establishment of both. The use of a strategy tells the informant affects the occurrence of violations of the principles of cooperation Grice. Violations are often performed is a violation of maxims of quality, but violations of maxims that happens does not mean that the informant does not cooperate with the host of the show, but for the purposes of maintaining politeness and social relations between both."

"Humor merupakan suatu hal yang dapat dengan mudah kita temukan di sekitar kita, bisa dalam bentuk verbal, visual, ataupun fisik. Humor verbal merupakan humor yang disampaikan melalui ucapan, humor visual melalui objek yang dilihat dengan mata, dan humor fisik melalui gerakan atau gestur tubuh. Salah satu contoh dari bentuk humor verbal adalah ejekan. Penelitian ini membahas humor ejekan yang digunakan pada serial ragam Korea Selatan. Sumber data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah delapan episode acara ragam Korea Selatan University War yang tayang pada tahun 2023. Data penelitian dibatasi pada sesi wawancara dengan total 43 data. Penelitian dilaksanakan dengan metode kualitatif deskriptif dan merujuk pada General Theory of Verbal Humor (Teori Umum Humor Verbal) dari Attardo (1994). Pertanyaan penelitian yang ingin dijawab adalah bagaimana penggunaan humor ejekan dalam sesi wawancara acara ragam Korea Selatan University War. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa peserta banyak menggunakan humor ejekan sebagai strategi untuk menegaskan dominasi sebagai tim dan merusak kepercayaan diri peserta lain.

Humor is something that we can easily find around us, in it could be verbal, visual, or physical form. Verbal humor is humor conveyed through speech, visual humor through objects seen with the eyes, and physical humor through body movements or gestures. One example of verbal humor is insult. This research discusses the insult humor used in South Korean variety series. The data source used in this research is eight episodes of the South Korean variety show University War, which aired in 2023. The research data is limited to interview sessions with 43 datas in total. The research was conducted using descriptive qualitative methods and the General Theory of Verbal Humor by Attardo (1994). The research question to be answered is how is insult humor used in the interview sessions of the South Korean variety show University War. This study shows that participants often use insult humor as a strategy to assert team dominance and undermine other participants."
