This study aims to determine the relationship between metacognitive skills with deep and surface learning approaches in junior high school students. Metacognitive skills are referred to as a personal factor that has an important role in determining individual learning approaches. Specifically, the implementation of phase D of Kurikulum Merdeka at the junior high school level in Indonesia requires students to apply a deep approach. Therefore, this study involved 192 junior high school student participants aged 12-15 years from a private junior high school X in Bekasi and a public junior high school Y in Jakarta. The main result showed a positive and significant relationship between metacognitive skills and deep approach with r(192) = 0.597, p<0.001 (p<0.01, one-tailed) and a large effect size (r≥0.5). That is, the higher the metacognitive skills in junior high school students, the higher the tendency to apply the deep approach. This is appropriate to undergo the conditions of the current junior high school education curriculum. By knowing the relationship between the two variables, it is hoped that teachers and parents/guardians can apply constructivistic learning methods, Problem-Based Learning (PBL), or other methods that can help improve the metacognitive skills of junior high school students so that learning goals are achieved optimally.

"Today?s leaders face many challenges in achieving their goals. Rapid changes in technology, a more diverse workforce, changes in government regulations, worldwide competition, and the growing complexity of things in general have increased our awareness of the need for more effective leaders. Developing leaders requires having an understanding of the knowledge and skills required for effective leaders. Leadership Skills for Managers, 4th edition, focuses on five leadership skill sets necessary to ensure individual and organization performance: providing direction, leading by example, enabling others, sharing power, and seeking a better way. In addition to the leadership skill sets, the book examines the attitudes and mindsets of effective leaders. In the final analysis, the evidence of leadership is in the performance of the people and the organizations that follow the leader. When they perform well, the leader is a success. When they don?t perform well, leadership changes are almost always forthcoming. This book provides the background, real-world examples, practical applications, and numerous exercises to help prepare aspiring leaders. The lessons learned in this course can be applied to any leadership level in an organization and in any type of organization. Readers will learn how to: * Make the change from manager to leader. * Provide direction. * Enable others to achieve and succeed. * Develop a vision and create alignment. * Grow and develop new leaders. * Appraise leadership performance. * Use Continuous Improvement. This is an ebook version of the AMA Self-Study course. If you want to take the course for credit you need to either purchase a hard copy of the course through amaselfstudy."

The ability to read is needed since children started education at primary level. Some studies showed the facts that children's reading ability in Elementary School in Indonesia was still low, compared to other countries (Wulan, 2009). Research conducted by Balitbang Dikbud (1997) reported that many children have reading difficulties (Nawangsari and Suprapti, 2008). Therefore, the intervention programs in this research aim to teach reading lower-level skills with Bottom-Up model in Elementary School A
This intervention program based on behavior modification approach using the Applied Behavior Analysis method with Discrete Trial Training technique. This method explains that a behavior is formed by the antecedent, behavior and consequence. The purpose of this intervention program is to improve students ability to read. Intervention program was conducted in 13 sessions and arranged in an intervention program design consists of three parts: 1) Baseline; 2) Intervention Program; 3) Evaluation Program.
Generally, the result of this intervention program is to improve effectively reading skills of elementary school students."
