"fish will experience a degradation process that leads to the decay process after its capture and death. This loss of quality is caused by bacterial activity,enzyme activity, or o combination of those factors. during the effort of decreasing the temperature by using cooling techniques, fish fishery business. In this study, the experiment will be conducted to determine the effect of different cooling media for quality fish. Cooling medium used is : (a) 99% salt and 1% water (b) 98% salt and 2% water (c)97% salt and 3% fresh and sea water. All media are included in the coolbox . Addition of salt can reduce the temperature of coling media coolbox below 0 derajatC. Ther higher the salt concentration in water, the lower temperatures in the coolbox and the higher salt concentration so that increasing the coolbox temperature will be faster. For sea water temperature is achieved at temperatures as low as 3- derajat C and quickly going up . Viewed from the best cooling media is a mixture of fresh water ice 99% + salt 1% protein content compared with most other cooling medium that is equal to 11.8 %."

"Penilitian ini membahas tentang retrofit sistem pendingin mesin untuk kapal coaster 1200GT dengan menggunakan sistem keel cooler. Dimana proses untuk mengganti suatu sistem yang sudah ada yang disebut retrofiting. Kapal coaster 1200GT merupakan kapal pengangkut barang untuk pelayaran pantai. Kapal ini memiliki spesifikasi panjang keseluruhan ( ), panjang diantara garis tegak lurus ( ), lebar kapal ( ), tinggi kapal ( ), sarat kapal ( ), tenaga mesin utama ( ), kecepatan maksimum kapal ( ) dan dapat menampung penumpang sebanyak 400 orang. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah merancang kebutuhan keel cooler untuk kapal coaster 1200GT. Langkah-langkah kegiatan perancangan dan perhitungan keel cooler ini adalah sebagai berikut: menghitung kebutuhan keel cooler dengan variasi diameter ½ - 2 ½ inch untuk mengetahui berapa panjang (L) minimal dan nilai optimal dari nilai pelepasan panas (q). Variasi diameter menghasilkan beberapa nilai panjang dan nilai koefisien perpindahan panas yang bervariasi. Pada diameter 2½ inch memiliki nilai panjang minimal dan nilai pelepasan panas yang optimal.
This research discusses about retrofit of the engine cooling system for coaster ship 1200GT with a keel cooler system. Where the process to replace an existing system called Retrofitting. 1200GT coaster ship is a freighter ship to cruise the beach. This ship has the following specifications: length overall specification ( ), the length between perpendiculars ( ), the breadth ( ), height ( ), draft ( ), the main engine power ( ), the maximum speed of the ship ( ) and can accommodate as many as 400 passengers. The purpose of this research is to design requirements for ship's keel cooler coaster 1200GT. Step-by-step activities keel cooler design and calculation are as follows: calculate the keel cooler needs to variation in diameter ½ - 2 ½ inch to know how long ( ) minimum and the optimal value of the heat release ( ). Variations in diameter produced some length value and the value of heat transfer coefficient varies. At a diameter of 2½ inch has a minimum long value and optimal value of the heat release."

Ditemukan adanya cacat pori material bearing cover yang berada pada atmosfer korosif. Cacat pori pada material dalam lingkungan korosif air pendingin mempercepat kegagalan komponen tersebut."

"Mobil yang di parkir di tempat terbuka di bawah sinar matahari akan mengalami peningkatan temperatur di dalam kabin hingga 52,4 °C. Hal ini disebabkan konduksi terhadap badan mobil, konveksi di dalam kabin mobil dan radiasi dari sinar matahari terhadap kaca mobil serta pantulan radiasi oleh interior di dalam mobil. Untuk mengatasi peningkatan temperatur di dalam kabin maka dirancang sebuah pendingin kabin mobil berbasis termoelektrik. Pendingin kabin mobil berbasis termoelektrik tersebut memiliki dua sisi yaitu sisi panas dan sisi dingin dengan sumber listrik dari accu. Dengan demikian diharapkan pendingin kabin mobil berbasis termoelektrik dapat mengurangi temperatur panas di didalam kabin mobil. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa penggunaan pendingin kabin mobil berbasis termoelektrik ini dapat menurunkan temperature hingga 48°C.
Cars are parked in the open directly from the sun will increase the temperature inside the car cabin up to 52.40C. This is due to car bodies conduction, convection inside the car cabin and radiation from the sun on the windshield and the reflection of radiation by the interior in the car cabin. The cabin cooler based on thermoelectric has two surfaces, the hot side and the cold side which the power source come from the batteries. It is expected the cabin cooler based on thermoelectric can reduce the temperature inside the car cabin. The result showed that the use of the cabin cooler based on thermoelectric can lower the temperature in car cabin to 480°C."
