"ABSTRAKStudi ini melihat pengaruh diskusi terhadap justifikasi sistem. Sebanyak 41 orang berpartisipasi dalam penelitian ini. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ketika partisipan mendapatkan kesempatan untuk berdiskusi hal-hal positif tentang sistem, kecenderungannya untuk menjustifikasi sistem akan meningkat. Dan sebaliknya, ketika partisipan mendapatkan kesempatan untuk berdiskusi hal-hal negatif tentang sistem, kecenderungannya untuk menjustifikasi sistem akan menurun. Hal ini sesuai dengan teori shared reality yang menyebutkan bahwa suatu kepercayaan atau keyakinan akan terbentuk dan terpelihara jika kepercayaan dan keyakinan dibagi dan dishared bersama-sama orang lain. Dan sebaliknya, suatu kepercayaan dan keyakinan yang tidak dibagi dan tidak dishared bersama-sama orang lain, tidak akan terbentuk dan terpelihara. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa asumsi teori justifikasi sistem tidak sepenuhnya benar. Mungkin saja kecenderungan individu menjustifkasi sistem karena individu tidak pemah berbicara tentang sistem.
