"ABSTRAK
Jurnal ini membahas tentang simbol-simbol dalam cerpen berjudul Kkamagwi yang berarti lsquo;burung gagak rsquo;. Kkamagwi merupakan salah satu cerpen karya pengarang bernama Lee Tae-Jun pada tahun 1936. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui simbol-simbol apa saja yang terdapat di dalam cerpen Kkamagwi. Metode penelitian yang dilakukan yaitu metode kualitatif dengan studi pustaka. Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini, yaitu terdapat simbol benda hidup dan benda mati dalam cerpen, salah satunya adalah burung gagak sebagai simbol yang paling sering digunakan. Burung gagak dalam cerpen ini merupakan sebuah tanda kematian dan memiliki kaitan erat dengan mitos yang beredar di masyarakat. Simbol-simbol lain yang berupa benda mati mendukung latar suasana suram dalam cerpen ini.

ABSTRACT
This journal discusses about the symbols in the short story titled Kkamagwi that means Crows. Kkamagwi is one of short stories written by an author named Lee Tae Jun in 1936. The purpose of the study is to find out what symbols are contained in short story Kkamagwi. The research was carried out by using qualitative method with literature study. The result obtained from this research, there are inanimate objects symbols and living things symbols in the short story and one of them is the crows as the symbol of the most mentioned. The Crows as the main symbol is related to the myth that people believe as the symbol of a person 39 s death. Other symbols that are inanimate support the atmosphere of gloomy atmosphere in this short story."
