"Ideally, multiculturalism is good cultural integration model for Indonesia, the largest archipelago country in the world with a population of about 250 million, but realistically, today's world in which it exists has been hegemonized by power relations in political, economical and practical terms. "ABSTRAKFilm merupakan salah satu sarana komunikasi massa untuk menyampaikan pesan melalui simbol-simbol yang muncul di dalam adegan dan dialognya. Film juga sering dijadikan sebagai sarana untuk menyampaikan pandangan atau gagasan tentang kebudayaan, pemikiran serta pola pikir yang dimiliki dan dipercayai oleh masyarakat tertentu. Film Kungfu Panda 3 adalah salah satu film yang menggambarkan bagaimana Panda yang merupakan hewan khas Cina, memiliki makna yang mendalam bukan hanya dari sisi kebudayaa, tapi juga filosofi nya. Melalui pendekatan semiotik, penulisan jurnal ini bermaksud untuk menjelaskan dan menganalisis makna tokoh panda dalam film ini dan kaitannya dengan kebudayaan dan pemikiran Cina.

Film is also often made as mediums to deliver point of view or concept about culture, ideology and mindset that certain society believed. Kungfu Panda 3 is one of film that depicting how the giant panda who being China typical animal, has a deep meaning not only in terms of culture, but also in philosophy. Through a semiotic approach, this journal aims to explain and analyze the meaning of panda character in this film and its relevancy to Chinese culture and thought."

"Penelitian ini membahas representasi profesionalisme pustakawan dalam mengelola perpustakaan pada film pendek Project: Library. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu mengidentifikasi representasi profesionalisme pustakawan dalam mengelola perpustakaan dalam film berdasarkan makna sintagmatik dan paradigmatik. Analisis sintagmatik dan paradigmatik dilakukan pada alur, tokoh dan latar. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa representasi profesionalisme pustakawan yang didasarkan etika profesi mampu mencegah pustakawan dari sikap negative. Selain itu, adanya kode etik mampu mendorong pustakawan mengelola perpustakaan menjadi lebih baik.

This study discusses the representation of librarian professionalism in library management in Short film Project Library. The purpose of this research is to identify librarian professionalism representation in library management in film by showing syntagmatic and paradigmatic meaning. Syntagmatic and paradigmatic analyzes are performed on plot, character and setting.

The results of this study indicate that professionalism of librarians based on professional ethics is able to prevent librarians from negative attitudes as well as with the code of conduct applied to encourage librarians to manage libraries for the better. "

"Indonesia sebagai negara multikultural terintegrasi dalam semboyan Bhineka Tunggal Ika sebagai simbol persatuan. Pada kenyataannya masih ada etnis yang mengalami diskriminasi yaitu etnis Cina, hingga sekarang kitapun masih bisa melihat adanya sentimen yang diarahkan kepada mereka. Pemisahan etnis tertentu akan mengganggu ketahanan nasional. New Museum mengubah paradigma museum dari tempat pameran masa lalu menjadi tempat pendidikan dan media komunikasi untuk kepentingan masa kini dan masa depan. Etnis Cina harus direpresentasikan di museum sebagai cara untuk merangkul dan sebagai simbol pengakuan negara terhadap minoritas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat sejauh mana museum nasional Indonesia mengakomodir etnis Cina dan kendala apa yang dihadapi serta cara untuk mengatasinya. Dan juga menunjukkan sejauh mana pemerintah menggunakan museum sebagai sarana pembentuk integrasi nasional. Penelitian menunjukkan etnis Cina belum direpresentasikan karena Museum Nasional Indonesia masih terjebak dalam konsep traditional museum yang berfokus koleksi dan masa lalu.

Indonesia as a multicultural country is integrated in the motto of Bhinneka Tungga Ika or Unity in Diversity as a symbol of unity. But now adays, there are still ethnic groups that discriminated like Chinese Ethnic as we can still see the sentiment pointed to them. The Segregation of certain ethnic will disrupt national resilience. New Museum transforms the paradigm of the museum from the place of the past exhibition into a place of education and communication media for the benefit of both present and the future. Chinese Ethnic must be represented in museums as a way to embrace and symbolize state recognition of minorities. This research aims to see the extent to which the Museum Nasional Indonesia accommodates the Chinese and what obstacles are faced and ways to overcome them. And also shows the extent to which the government uses museum as a means of forming national integration. This research shows that Chinese minority has not been represented because Museum Nasional Indonesia are still trapped in traditional museum concepts."

"Penelitian ini membahas religi Jawa pada representasi sosial masyarakat Jawa dalam film pendek Nyumbang karya dari Montase Production yang disutradarai oleh Rahma Nurlinda Sari (2016). Penelitian ini bertujuan (1) mengidentifikasi pesan yang terdapat pada film Nyumbang, (2) menganalisis nilai religi Jawa dalam film Nyumbang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif yang bersifat deskriptif dengan pendekatan objektif. Pendekatan objektif merupakan pendekatan yang mengutamakan penyelidikan karya sastra berdasarkan kenyataan teks sastra itu sendiri (Hasanudin dalam Abidin, 2010:75). Data penelitian menggunakan studi kepustakaan serta transkripsi teks dari film Nyumbang. Analisis dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teori analisis isi teks kualitatif dengan teori representasi, serta diperkuat dengan teori prososial dan dikaitkan dengan beberapa proposisi Jawa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa film Nyumbang diciptakan sebagai bentuk pengingat bahwa sejatinya proposisi Jawa yang terdapat di dalam keseharian masyarakat Jawa adalah sebagai pedoman hidup yang harus dipegang dalam hidup sehari-hari. Film pendek Nyumbang turut berperan dalam menjaga serta mengingatkan tradisi atau budaya dari para leluhur kepada masyarakat Jawa khususnya.

This study discusses Javanese religion on the social representation of Javanese society in the short film Nyumbang by Montase Production directed by Rahma Nurlinda Sari (2016). This study aims to (1) identify the message contained in the film Nyumbang, (2) analyze the value of Javanese religion in the film Nyumbang. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method with an objective approach. An objective approach is an approach that prioritizes the investigation of literary works based on the reality of the literary text itself (Hasanudin in Abidin, 2010: 75). The research data use literature study and text transcription from the film Nyumbang. The analysis in this study uses qualitative text content analysis theory with representation theory, and is strengthened by prosocial theory, and is associated with several Javanese propositions. The results showed that the film Nyumbang was created as a form of a reminder that the true Javanese proposition contained in the daily life of the Javanese people is a way of life that must be adhered to in everyday life. The short film Nyumbang plays a role in maintaining and reminding the traditions or culture of the ancestors to the Javanese people in particular."

"Meskipun sebuah negara kecil, Belanda memiliki daerah pedesaan yang hingga abad 20 masih tetap bercirikan sebagai kawasan yang kaya akan berbagai macam jenis pertanian dan adat istiadat lokal. Daerah pedesaan di Belanda tergolong unik. Setiap desa memiliki beraneka ragam keindahan alam serta falsafah hidup penduduknya yang berbeda-beda. Ada sebuah karya sastra berupa cerita pendek yang mengangkat kisah tentang sosok orang desa di Belanda. Cerpen tersebut berjudul Oogst karya Jacqueline Servais yang terbit pada tahun 2013. Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah representasi sosok orang desa di Belanda dalam cerpen Oogst. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menjelaskan representasi sosok orang desa di Belanda dalam cerpen Oogst. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori sosiologi sastra yang digagas oleh Sapardi Djoko Damono. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sosok orang desa di Belanda dalam cerpen Oogst digambarkan naif dan menganggap alam sebagai bagian dari kehidupan, hidup dalam lingkungan yang sunyi dan asri, mendukung pendidikan, bekerja dengan giat, serta menjunjung tinggi nilai kejujuran dan ketulusan. Dari kelima representasi tersebut, terdapat representasi yang sesuai dan tidak sesuai dengan kenyataannya. Berdasarkan analisis makna simbol, simbol gandum dan bunga poppy menandakan bahwa alam mengajarkan kebaikan dan keburukan yang selalu hidup berdampingan. Simbol rambut pirang yang dimiliki gadis desa dan bayi perempuannya menandakan kebodohan. Simbol kejahatan tercermin dari representasi sosok pemuda asal Mediterania.

Despite being a small country, the Netherlands has a rural area which until the 20th century was still characterized as an area that has rich in various types of agriculture and local customs. The village in the Netherlands is unique. Each village has a variety of nature beauties and different philosophies of life for its inhabitants. There is a literary work in the form of a short story that tells the story of the figures of villagers in the Netherlands. The short story is entitled Oogst by Jacqueline Servais which was published in 2013. The problem of this research is representation of the figures of villagers in the Netherlands in Oogst's short story. The purpose of this research is to explain the representation of the figures of villagers in the Netherlands in Oogst's short story. This study using the sociology of literature theory proposed by Sapardi Djoko Damono. The results showed that the figures of villagers in the Netherlands in Oogst's short story is depicted as naïve and considers nature as part of life, lives in a quiet and beautiful environment, supporting education, working hard, and upholding the values of honesty and sincerity. From the five representations, there are representations that are appropriate and not appropriate with the reality. Based on the analysis of the meaning of symbols, the symbols of wheat and poppies indicate that nature teaches good and bad always coexist. The symbol of blonde hair indicates that the village girl and her baby girl have a sign of ignorance. The symbol of crime is reflected in the representation of a young man from the Mediterranean."

"Artikel dengan judul “Aspek kebohongan dalam Film Pendek Pemean” ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan menggunakan metode analisis semiotika model Ferdinand De Saussaur. Artikel ini menggunakan film pendek Pemean yang disutradarai oleh Thomas Kris dan di produksi oleh Paniradya Kaistimewaan sebagai objek penelitian. Dalam tugas akhir ini terdapat dua pertanyaan penelitian yaitu:1) Apa makna film pendek Pemean dalam analisis semiotika Ferdinand De Saussure? 2) Pandangan budaya Jawa dalam fenomena yang terjadi dalam film pendek Pemean. Untuk dapat menjawab pertanyaan penelitian tersebut, penulis melakukan tahapan penelitian yakni pengumpulan data yang dilakukan dengan mentranskripsi objek penelitian kedalam bentuk naskah dialog dan mengelompokkan data yang mendukung topik penelitian. Selanjutnya dilakukan tahapan analisis data yang sudah dikelompokkan dengan menggunakan teori dan metode penelitian yang digunakan dan mengaitkannya dengan pemikiran budaya Jawa.. Hasil akhir menyimpulkan bahwa dalam film pendek Pemean ditemukan petanda dan penanda sikap Konsumerisme dan Hedonisme, Eksistensi Diri, Kurang Empati, dan Narsistik. Sikap-sikap tersebut merupakan sikap yang tidak sesuai dalam kebudayaan Jawa karena manusia Jawa pada dasarnya sudah diajarkan oleh leluhur untuk selalu memperhatikan moral dan akhlak yang baik, seperti selalu bersikap andhapasor, prasaja, dan tepa salira.

This article with the title "Aspects of lying in the Short Film Pemean" uses a qualitative approach and uses the Ferdinand De Saussaur model of semiotic analysis method. This article uses the short film Pemean, directed by Thomas Kris and produced by Paniradya Kaistimewaan, as a research object. In this final assignment there are two research questions, namely: 1) What is the meaning of the short film Pemean in Ferdinand De Saussure's semiotic analysis? 2) Javanese cultural views in the phenomena that occur in the short film Pemean. To be able to answer these research questions, the author carried out research stages, namely data collection which was carried out by transcribing research objects into dialogue script form and grouping data that supports the research topic. Next, the data analysis stage was carried out which had been grouped using the theories and research methods used and linking them to Javanese cultural thought. The final results concluded that in the short film Pemean, signs and attitudes of consumerism and hedonism, self-existence, lack of empathy and narcissism were found. These attitudes are attitudes that are not appropriate in Javanese culture because Javanese people have basically been taught by their ancestors to always pay attention to good morals and morals, such as always being andhapasor, prasaja, and tepa salira."
