"Tugas akhir ini membahas mengenai terbentuknya pemerintahan grand coalition di Jerman pada tahun 2005 Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif di dalam menganalisa proses terbentuknya pemerintahan koalisi antara partai Christian Democratic Union CDU dan Social Democrat Party SPD yang selama ini dikenal dengan rivalitasnya Dengan menggunakan kerangka konsep partai politik dan koalisi penelitian ini menemukan faktor faktor yang mendorong terbentuknya pemerintahan grand coalition Krisis ekonomi yang melanda Jerman tahun 2005 mendorong CDU dan SPD untuk menciptakan pemerintahan yang stabil dengan membentuk pemerintahan koalisi Selain itu keadaan politik internasional yang cenderung tidak stabil juga mendorong kedua partai untuk membentuk pemerintahan grand coalition.
