Penelitian menggunakan sampel 38 perusahaan industri teknologi yang terdaftar dalam bursa saham Indonesia (IDX) dan bursa saham Malaysia (KLSE) selama periode 2013 – 2022 dalam basis waktu tahunan menggunakan teknik regresi data panel. Hasil temuan menunjukkan bahwa direksi STEM tidak ditemukan memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap aktivitas inovasi korporasi pada perusahaan dalam industri teknologi di Indonesia dan Malaysia.

This study aims to understand the effect of directors with educational backgrounds in the field of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM, hereinafter will be called STEM directors) on corporate innovation activities in Indonesian and Malaysian technology companies. This study uses a sample of 38 technology companies listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange (IDX) and the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange (KLSE) during the period of 2013 – 2022 on annual basis using data panel regression. Findings showed that STEM directors did not indicate having a significant effect on innovation activities in technology companies in Indonesia and Malaysia."
