"Storytelling merupakan bagian dari teknik branding yang dapat diterapkan untuk mengembangkan destinasi. Namun, penelitian tentang pengaruh destination story terhadap perubahan dinamis dari citra destinasi (kognitif dan afektif) selama krisis Covid-19 masih kurang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran narrative engagement dalam membangun citra positif destinasi dan behavioral intentions selama krisis Covid-19. Penelitian ini menggunakan data primer yang dikumpulkan dari 769 responden dengan kriteria tertentu melalui scenario-based survey. Ada beberapa tahapan analisis pada awal penelitian untuk mengembangkan cerita destinasi. Penelitian menggunakan structural equation modelling untuk menganalisis hipotesis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa authenticity, conciseness, dan reversal cerita destinasi mempengaruhi pembentukan narrative engagement. Citra destinasi memediasi hubungan antara narrative engagement dan behavioral intention. Studi ini memberikan kontribusi teoritis dan praktis untuk pemasaran pariwisata

Storytelling is part of a branding technique that can be applied to develop destinations. However, there is a lack of investigation of the destination story's effect on the dynamic change of destination image (cognitive and affective) during the Covid-19 crisis. This study aims to determine the role of narrative engagement in building a positive image of destinations and behavioral intentions during the Covid-19 crisis. This study used primary data collected from 769 respondents with specific criteria via a scenario-based survey. There are several stages of analysis at the beginning of the study to develop the destination stories. This research conducted structural equation modeling to analyze the hypotheses. The results indicate that authenticity, conciseness, and reversal of the story influence the narrative engagement formation. The destination image mediates the relationship between narrative engagement and behavioral intention. This study provides theoretical and practical contributions to tourism marketing"

"Skripsi ini berisi pengkajian atas novel ketujuh Andrea Hirata yang berjudul Sebelas Patriot (2011) yang berkisah tentang kecintaan seorang anak dan sang ayah terhadap sepakbola, PSSI, dan bangsa Indonesia. Kisah dalam Sebelas Patriot bermain di era kolonial (1936—1940) dan selepasnya (1967—1997 ke atas). Di dalam novel yang berlatar tempat di Pulau Belitong dan Benua Eropa ini tergambar pula wajah nasionalisme masyarakat Melayu Belitong melalui sepakbola. Penelitian atas novel ini dilakukan dengan metode deskriptif analisis dan pendekatan sosiologi sastra. Unsur-unsur intrinsik dalam novel dikaji menggunakan pendekatan sosiologi sastra guna mengetahui hubungan konteks nasionalisme di Indonesia baik dalam ranah pergerakan merebut kemerdekaan maupun ranah sepakbola dengan novel Sebelas Patriot. Hasil penelitian membuktikan bahwa Andrea Hirata kembali menghadirkan semangat mengejar mimpi lewat tokoh Ikal dan novel Sebelas Patriot adalah karya yang menghadirkan wajah nasionalisme masyarakat Melayu melalui sepakbola yang sarat akan penghadiran kembali kisah kesejarahan dan pengalaman masa lalu tokoh pencerita.

This thesis contains the review of Andrea Hirata's seventh novel, entitled Sebelas Patriot (2011) which tells the story of a child and his father's love for football, PSSI, and Indonesia. The stories in Sebelas Patriot play in the colonial era (1936-1940) and thereafter (1967-1997). In this novel, which is sets in Belitong Island and Continental Europe, also reflected face of Belitong Malay nationalism through football. The research was conducted with descriptive analysis method and sociology literature approach. Intrinsic elements in novel examined with sociology literature approach in order to determine the relationship of Indonesian nationalism context within the realm of the movement for independence as well as the realm of football with Sebelas Patriot novel. The results prove that Andrea Hirata bring back the spirit of pursuing dreams through his character named Ikal and Sebelas Patriot novel is a work that presents a face of Malay nationalism through football with telling back historical stories and past experiences of the author."
