"[Lingkungan padat penghuni seperti pesantren merupakan faktor risiko pedikulosis kapitis sehingga santri perlu diberikan pengetahuan mengenai siklus hidup Pediculus humanus capitis agar dapat melakukan pencegahan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui pengaruh penyuluhan terhadap peningkatan pengetahuan santri mengenai siklus hidup P.h.capitis. Desain penelitian adalah pre-post study dengan intervensi penyuluhan kesehatan. Pengambilan data dilakukan di sebuah pesantren, Jakarta Timur pada bulan Mei 2012 dengan meminta semua santri (total sampling) mengisi kuesioner yang berisi enam pertanyaan mengenai siklus hidup P.h.capitis sebelum dan sesudah penyuluhan. Setiap soal mempunyai skor maksimal lima dan minimal nol. Data skor sebelum dan sesudah penyuluhan diolah dengan uji marginal homogeneity pada program SPSS versi 20. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan santri berusia 11-19 tahun, 109 orang (60,2%) laki-laki dan 72 orang (39,8%) perempuan. Sebelum penyuluhan, 154 santri (85,1%) memiliki tingkat pengetahuan kurang, 20 santri (11%) berpengetahuan sedang, dan 7 santri (3,9%) berpengetahuan baik. Setelah penyuluhan, 19 santri (10,5%) memiliki pengetahuan kurang, 45 santri (24,9%) berpengetahuan sedang, dan 117 santri (64,6%) berpengetahuan baik. Uji marginal homogeneity (p<0,01) menunjukan perbedaan bermakna pada tingkat pengetahuan santri sebelum dan sesudah penyuluhan. Disimpulkan bahwa penyuluhan berpengaruh dalam meningkatkan tingkat pengetahuan santri mengenai siklus hidup P.h.capitis., Crowded environment such as islamic boarding school is a risk factor of pediculosis capitis, thus the students should be given the knowledge about life cycle of Pediculus humanus capitis in orther to prevent the disease. The aim of this research was to know the influence of health promotion in improving students knowledge about the life cycle of P.h.capitis. This pre-post study with health promotion intervention was held on May 2012 at Islamic Boarding School, East Jakarta by giving the students a questionnaire with six questions about the life cycle of P.h.capitis before and after health promotion. Score before and after the health promotion was analyzed using marginal homogeneity test on SPSS version 20. The result showed that the students were 11-19 years old, 109 male students (60,2%), and 72 female students (39,8%). Before health promotion, 154 students (85,1%) had poor knowledge level, 20 students (11%) had fair knowledge and 7 students (3,9%) had good level. "ABSTRACT
Pedikulosis kapitis merupakan infestasi kutu kepala yang banyak terdapat pada orang yang tinggal di daerah padat penghuni. Untuk merencanakan pemberantasan pedikulosis, diperlukan pengetahuan pencegahan pedikulosis. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui dampak penyuluhan terhadap peningkatan pengetahuan santri mengenai pencegahan pedikulosis. Survey dilakukan di sebuah pesantren di Jakarta Timur. Desain penelitian pre-post study dengan metode total sampling dan intervensi penyuluhan kesehatan. Data diambil pada Mei 2012 menggunakan kuesioner berisi lima pertanyaan mengenai pengobatan dan pencegahan pedikulosis kapitis. Data diproses dengan SPSS versi 20 dan dianalisis dengan uji marginal homogeneity. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dari 205 santri, sebanyak 181 ikut dalam penelitian; laki-laki 109 (60,2%) dan 72 (39,8%) perempuan dengan usia 11-19 tahun. Jumlah responden yang memiliki pengetahuan baik 14 orang (7,7%), sedang 46 orang (25,4%), dan kurang 121 orang (66,9%). Setelah penyuluhan, jumlah responden yang memiliki pengetahuan baik meningkat menjadi 39 orang (21,5%) dan sedang 89 orang (49,2%); pengetahuan kurang menurun menjadi 53 orang (29,3%). Uji marginal homogeneity menunjukkan perbedaan bermakna (p<0,01) pada tingkat pengetahuan sebelum dan sesudah penyuluhan. Disimpulkan, penyuluhan berhasil meningkatkan pengetahuan santri mengenai pencegahan pedikulosis kapitis.

ABSTRACT
Pediculosis capitis is frequently found in people who live in a crowded area. It is necessary to have knowledge about prevention of pediculosis in order to eradicate pediculosis. The purpose of this research was to know about the impact of health promotion in improving the student?s knowledge about prevention of pediculosis. The survey was conducted at a Islamic boarding school in East Jakarta . The research design was pre-post study with a total sampling methods and health promotion interventions. Data was collected on May 2012 by giving a questioner consist of five questions about treatment and prevention of pediculosis. Data was processed by SPSS version 20 and analyzed with the marginal homogeneity test. The results showed that 181 of 205 students participated; 109 male students (60.2%) and 72 female students (39.8%), age 11-19 years old. The number of good knowledge students were 14 (7.7%), fair knowledge 46 (25.4%) and poor knowledge 121 (66.9%). After health promotion, the number of good knowledge students were 39 (21.5%), fair knowledge 89 (49.2%), poor knowledge 53 (29.3%). Marginal homogeneity test showed significant difference of knowledge before and after the health promotion (p<0.001). In conclusion, health promotion was effective in increasing knowledge about prevention of pediculosis capitis students."

"Soil transmitted helminths (STH) merupakan masalah kesehatan masyarakat di Indonesia terutama di pedesaan. Untuk mencegah infeksi, masyarakat perlu diberikan pengetahuan mengenai STH. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui efektivitas penyuluhan mengenai siklus hidup STH pada murid tsanawiyah di Kecamatan Pacet, Cianjur. Penelitian menggunakan desain pre-post study dengan intervensi penyuluhan kesehatan. Data diambil 10 September 2011 di Madrasah (MTs) Tsanawiyah X (total populasi), Pacet, Cianjur menggunakan kuesioner yang berisi pertanyaan mengenai siklus hidup STH. Data dianalisis dengan uji Wilcoxon.
Hasil riset menunjukkan dari 133 responden sebagian besar adalah lakilaki (54,1%), kelas 2 (41,4%), riwayat belum pernah terinfeksi (56,4%), dan riwayat orang sekitar yang pernah terinfeksi (78.9%). Sebelum penyuluhan, nilai median tingkat pengetahuan adalah 40 (0-80). Uji statistik menunjukkan delta score tidak berbeda bermakna (p>0.05) terhadap karakteristik responden. Sesudah penyuluhan, nilai median tingkat pengetahuan adalah 60 (0-100). Uji Wilcoxon menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan bermakna pada tingkat pengetahuan murid mengenai morfologi dan daur hidup STH sebelum dan sesudah penyuluhan (p<0,001). Disimpulkan tingkat pengetahuan murid mengenai morfologi dan daur hidup STH tidak berhubungan dengan karakteristik responden tetapi dipengaruhi oleh penyuluhan.

Soil Transmitted Helmithes (STH) is a serious health problem in Indonesia especially in rural area. To prevent the infection, people should be given the knowledge about STH. This research was conducted to know the effectiveness of health education in increasing the knowledge level of STH life cycle among Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) students in Pacet, Cianjur. The research design used pre-post study with the intervention of health education. The data was taken on 10 September 2011 in Madrasah Tsanawiyah X (total population), Pacet, Cianjur using questionnaire which consist of questions about STH life cycle. The data was analyzed by Wilcoxon test.
The result shows from 133 students most of them were male (51.4%), second grader (41.4%), has never been infected before (56.4%), and most of them have surrounding people who have been infected (78.9%). Before health education, the median score was 40(0-80). From the statistic test, the delta score had no association with the respondent's demographic characteristic (p>0.05). After health education, the median score was 60(0-100). Wilcoxon test shows there was a significant difference in the knowledge level of STH morphology and life cycle before and after health education (p<0.001). In summary, the knowledge level of STH morphology and life cycle did not have association with the respondent?s demographic characteristic but was influenced by health education."
