"ABSTRAK Tesis ini membahas peran Lembaga Amil Zakat (LAZ) dalam upaya peningkatan ketahanan keluarga mustahiknya melalui program pengentasan kemiskinan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan pendekatan studi kasus pelaksanaan Program Bantuan Wirausaha Rumah Zakat Cabang Yogyakarta. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa Rumah Zakat sebagai salah satu kekuatan civil society dipercaya oleh sebagian masyarakat di Indonesia untuk menyalurkan zakatnya karena telah menerapkan prinsip-prinsip organisasi modern dan profesional. Peran Rumah Zakat dalam mengentaskan mustahik dari kemiskinan dilakukan dengan memberikan bantuan modal dana dan sarana usaha serta dengan melakukan pendampingan. Peran Rumah Zakat dalam peningkatan ketahanan keluarga dilakukan dengan melakukan optimalisasi nilai faktor komponen input yang terdiri dari karakteristik dan sumber daya keluarga; peningkatan nilai komponen proses dengan mendorong penanganan masalah keluarga secara optimal; serta peningkatan nilai komponen output (ketahanan keluarga) melalui peningkatan faktor pembentuk ketahanan fisik, ketahanan sosial dan ketahanan psikologis.

ABSTRAK This thesis discusses the role of the Zakat Institution (LAZ) in increasing the zakat receivers? (mustahik) family resilience through poverty alleviation programs. This study is a qualitative study focusing on the implementation of the Entrepreneurship Fund Program hold by the Branch of Rumah Zakat in Yogyakarta. The study concludes that Rumah Zakat as one of the civil society element trusted by communities in Indonesia to distribute their zakat as Rumah Zakat implements the principles of professional and modern organization management. Rumah Zakat?s role in alleviating the mustahik?s poverty done by providing capital funding and business facilities as well as assistances. Rumah Zakat?s role in improving the mustahik?s family resilience is done by optimizing the value of the inputs factor of the family resilience component consisting of characteristics and family resources; improving the value of the processes factor by encouraging the handling of family problems; as well as improving the value of the outputs (family resilience) by increasing the physical resilience, social resilience and psychological resilience forming factors."
