"In their OR (Operations Research) curricula, most universities place a lot of empha- sis on teaching algorithms for solving a variety of standard mathematical models for solving optimum decision-making problems like linear programming, nonlin- ear programming, integer programming, etc. and the mathematical analysis of their convergence properties and computational complexity. But they do not put much emphasis on helping their students cultivate the essential skill of constructing an appropriate mathematical model for real world decision-making problems, before these algorithms can be applied to solve them."

"ABSTRAKSkripsi ini membahas mengenai ragam banmal yang dikenal sebagai ragam nonhonorifikdi dalam bahasa Korea. Secara spesifik, skripsi ini membahas tentangpenggunaannya di kalangan mahasiswa dengan mengambil studi kasus mahasiswajunior. Penggunaan ragam banmal itu sendiri merupakan penggunaan ragambanmal dari mahasiswa junior kepada mahasiswa senior dan kepada teman satuangkatannya. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian sosiolinguistik yangmenghubungkan penggunaan ragam bahasa banmal dengan faktor-faktor nonlinguistikyang terbagi menjadi faktor sosial dan faktor situasional.

ABSTRACTThe focus of this study is about banmal which is known as a non-honorific speech

in Korean language. The aim of this study is to explain about the using of banmal

among Korean students especially by taking the case study on students in lower

grade. The using of banmal itself describe the using from junior students to senior

and other students in same year. This is a sociolinguistic study which is relating

the using of banmal to non-linguistic aspects which consisted of social aspect and

situasional aspect."
